If they keep going back up people, just gonna go back to cable internet or fiber or whatever.
They might. I'm still with Xfinity, and my bill went up over $24 dollars this month. WTF, Xfinity! I am so over these internet companies. False promises and slum providers. Sorry for the rant. It's bogus, to be honest, with everything else going up.
I am locked in at $50 but I left cable because they kept raising the price -- $100 and the service was lousy. I was on the phone at least once a month, my service would cut off at night without announcement even though I could tell they were doing planned maintenance. I have had no more than ten minutes of outage with TMobile in over a year; I stream a lot using about 750 GB per month. Oh, I keep my eyes open for better deals but the worst you can say about TMobile is that they might raise prices LIKE ALL THE OTHERS DO.
Why would you go from fiber to 5g.
I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile today and I also got this 5g gateway not at the price you mentioned, I got it for $50 a month $45.00 with auto pay.
I was planning to move to T-Mobile. --- Will stay with my provider. T-Mobile is getting greedy!
Seems that way
Lots of companies are getting greedy
lol that’s every company.
T mobile has always been greedy nothing new
Yes ive noticed that. Thanks for the update.
Thanks 😊 I find that T mobile internet
upon searching for availability says it
is not available hear in my area of
New Hampshire, and a zip code in NY
where we used to live is also listed as
not available.
However, I saw comments that some
people said they were told this too in
their area, but they did obtain it from
T Mobile and it worked anyway.
And these areas I tried here in NH and
NY are not rural areas. 😊
I am in a city myself. I’m just saying it’s best for people who don’t have fiber as an option.
I live in bfe like 40miles into the woods and town and we have T-Mobile n it works amazing
@@exposingtheones Thanks 😊
They're also implementing a data cap of 1.2 TB. Not a great thing if you're a heavy internet/streaming user.
Yes. Not a hard cap. The fine print says you can be slowed down further after 1.2 TB
I made a big T-Mobile home Internet change about three weeks ago. I canceled and had my cable company provide Internet service. Thirty years ago I vowed that I would never give my cable company another nickel, but T-Mobile made me hate them more than I hate the cable company.
Before canceling, I called T-Mobile to complain that, though Internet things were fine at 5 a.m., Internet was next to impossible at 5 p.m. After I complained, things were better for about a week...and then it was back to throttle city. The cable installer told me that everyone tells him the same thing.
Good luck, T-Mobile users.
If you have cell plans and have had them for some time, you have some advantage when protesting increases. Leaving the service means dropping all services, and they don't want that en masse.
Yeah, I "hem hawed" around and decided to sign up one day after the price increase! (Plus, if I read things correctly, there are now data caps of 1.2 tb(?) monthly!) Oh well, its still cheaper than what I am paying for my current service, ( over half the price...for now!), and without all the boxes, wires, and remotes, if it works like its supposed to!
Not a hard cap but yes you may be slowed more after 1.2 TB now
If by "big changes" it included having a cell tower closer to us (and by "us" I mean 1,000+ new-ish homes and some apartments), then it would be a consideration. Until then, we're stuck with two fiber companies who have colluded on pricing of their 300/500/1000 Mbps plans.
I’m still debating between T-Mobile home Internet, or going with spectrum fiber? I like the idea of the speed of installing T-Mobile home Internet and I don’t have to wait around for an installer and take all afternoon to get it installed.
Home
Fiber ……. If you can get gig fiber up and down it’s worth it cellular is finicky
I was debating b/w those 2 too since my 2 years price guaranteed is ending soon. After seeing what I'm going to get with T-mobile and T-mobile with history of jacking up prices 4x with my mobile 2 years within 6 months, I'm sticking with Spectrum. At least I know with Spectrum, they wouldn't jack up prices like T-Mobile
T-Mobile is quick and easy
@@eMDiKhamPha specktrum new customers will get discount on the 1st year.. then will jack up the price to $75/month (regular price).
I can tell you my 5G, before UC kicks in, is around 380 down and 100 up. That's very good considering the pimp tier cable package I had was 450 down and maybe 20 up -- and a $65 savings to boot.
Nice
@@MichaelSaves Quick update - all installed, no double NAT issues and pulling 380 down and 80 up without breaking a sweat. If you have good 5G coverage in your area, there’s no excuse to not pull away from the cable shakedown.
I remember when iphone came out the claim was "$25 unlimited for life." I don't think that even lasted two months. Most providers are on the bait-and-switch model, especially cable companies.
Yeah, I agree, when it comes to "deals" like this,....nothing is ever "in stone". Most say something like " not including taxes and fees,.,..and the " fees" are where they get you!
I have the $25 plan, with price lock.
Hopefully they continue to honor the deal. I'll need something in the coming 15 months, because cable Internet is too costly.
Ok, I’m trying to get a plan for RVing; turn on and off whenever I want, probably use 3-4 months a year
I wonder if this channel would help? I’ve seen them show up in recommendations: youtube.com/@MobileInternetResourceCenter?si=m-iPRn1Fth0rh3Dr
Does this particular T-Mobile modem support WiFi 6?
Yes
Not sure were your inside information is from but my browser still shows them at $50.
I show the new pricing in the video from a screenshot. Click on plans. Refresh your browser or try a new one.
guess I'm lucky, picked mine up at store last Saturday, have the $50 plan in my account, :)
I miss the pre-merger T-Mobile.
It's going slower now. I have more priority on my cellphone. Especially at busy hours, I turn off wifi on my phone, and the connection more than doubles in speed.
Is T Mobile Home Internet better now then say Verizon Fios? I would like know ASAP?
Fios is fiber, which is typically better than other internet options.
can you travel with it on the road
It is not intended for that use, but I know some people do that
$40 a month for me for home wifi is perfect. I live in a room with a homeowner who let’s me rent the room and utilities. Her router is in the basement and is horrible and slows down when I connect to it.
I have T-Mobile home internet and its $50 a month for autopay
Still not available in my area. Will be much higher when it is. I'm passing in this one.
I am getting it for $40 all in . (Taxes and Fees)
So my $35 a month is it locked in forever? I have been on this for like 6 months.
Nothing changes for existing
I pay $20 a month with 2 phone lines and use a LOT more than 1.2tbs, they have never throttled the speed.
I bought his house I actuly grew up in Wendies childhood bedroom. It was Super Pink Everything before I painted the walls.
Let me help you yes prices going up changes thinstallation always No matter what
At least being faster than my current provider UScellular home internet with 600gb
Doesn't matter what they charge still poor service. Speed always drops during high use times. Glad we switched to Verizon. Cost is a little more but the service is great. Both up and down,
Cost is more, but is verizon umlimited?
Is this good for gamimg
In some cases, it's fine. If you are an avid gamer, I would try to get fiber internet.
Hell no shits terrible fr
@YbeezK-TV I play my ps5 all the time never have I had a drop out or lag due to connection roughly 400 to 600 mbps down and 30 to 40 up so it really depends on area...
Can I just subscribe for one month and pause it and reactivate 4-5 months later??
I don’t see a pause option. I wouldn’t recommend. You have a one-time activation fee on top of the monthly cost. I don’t see this being a good value.
Well dam…
I am glad I switch over to the T mobile home internet when the prices is low as like you say 50 dollars
T-Mobile is like the bad neighbor you can't trust not to rob you when not looking. Do yourself a favor and keep shopping.
I just move away from t-mobile because of a policy change. T-Mobile now will fine you if you text something they don't like.
That's fake news!!!
I am paying $50.00 a month
Insufficient traffic
We have T-Mobile and we are in the Rural area. 5G isn’t here and 4G LTE is 2 bars at best. So we have now ordered Star Link
Used a friends and I can actually game again on PC
Stream also with no lag. Verizon is the same and AT&T was no where to be found which is sad. Considering AT&T has been in this area for 50 years or more. So
Elon 1 - competition 0
What makes it worse is my state just gave Spectrum 28mil in grant money to add internet to this area and we live 1.8miles from where Spectrum has other lines. But they say we are to far for them to make our area serviceable 🤦♂️
Spectrum will inflate the price of labor & parts and probably use 1/3 of the money and keep the rest for bonuses for top executives.
There service is a rip off. All store prices are different.
