We live in a rural area and have had t-mobile home internet for 4 years. I have zero complaints. Flat $50 bucks a month and we can do everything we want to do with the speeds the service offers. We have RUclips tv, my kids play the latest and greatest video games, my wife has a home business, we have movie streaming services. No complaints here.
Nice!
Everytime a company starts a new service, they always put a catch later on top of it
I have Verizon FiOS. $63.99/mo. Includes my landline. 300/300 consistently. I supplement it with a Google Nest mesh. All in all I’m very happy.
verizon is good also.. In t-mobile the regular price of their home Internet is 55 dollars every month.. Some of my customers they have promotions and discount and sometimes the device connection charge is free❤ 😊
@@jessacabantuganVerizon fios beats out t mobile home internet
Whaat? Where do you live. I live in Western PA, & I've had Verizon Internet + landline for years (NO TV whatsoever), and about a year & half ago, I had to hassle to get Verizon to lower it from $176 / mo. to about $126 ! Plus the cheating company NEVER sent me the promised $200 prepaid credit card. I can't wait to dump Verizon.
I have T mobile home internet. But I wouldn't be one of those customers that traveling with their home internet and paying$160.00. I Use my hotspot from visible whenever I'm traveling. Tmobile is going back on Their guaranteed price. At this point, customers are going to choose the plan that best for them. Thank you for sharing.
Glad I got in on T-Mo Home Internet years ago. Still have my Nokia Trash Can and it works perfect for me. I am one of those that goes over 1.2TB of Data Per Month. The couple of times I thought I was being throttled I just restarted my router and things improved. Not the right solution for everyone, but certainly is good enough for me.
I live in the Phoenix area. I just switched to T-Mobile and I consistently get 600-700 mbps at the current price of $55/month. Cox had raised my rates to $106 for 500 mbps. Loving it so far!
The comment i wanted to see i was going to go today and get t mobile wifi also living in phoenix
Yea it’s way better then shitty spectrum
Have you ever had days where it’s not getting over 100mbps
I had it about a year ago. My tower is behind two large schools on a very busy road. Congestion became unbearable. Went back to Spectrum for just a little more a month and way more consistant.
Hi Sir. I have Xfinity internet and pay $60. a month for unlimited data (Pueblo, Colorado). We did pay $75. but I called for something and the man changed my plan and saved me money. He said the speed is faster and it is cheaper. I don't notice a difference in speed but I am saving $15. a month. My son plays video games and streams TV. I stream TV (24/7) and use my computer. I will have the TV, computer and tablet going at the same time and it all works. Have a nice day everyone.
XFINITY (Comcast) will raise your bill. Just a matter of time.
They are a evil company
Thanks for the update. I have t-mobile phone and internet bundle and am still very pleased with both. I get a spinning wheel on the tv every now and then but its not a big deal maybe a coupe times a month.
An extender in the room would help with you'r internet. Prevent that spinning wheel. The device is having a hard time streaming. If it's the tv its self try a streamer. The Streaming components for a tv are after thoughts. had one tv go out on wifi and wired connection. don't put much stock into them.
@@Geeky_Dad don't go with extender if possible, as it creates separate network you need to manage. I've found it better to just invest in a good WiFi mesh setup that also has an app for your phone where you can control it without having to log on via a web portal if you don't want too.
I have 2 lines and home internet from T Mobile. I pay $120 a month and get 'free' Netflix and apple tv. I don't think I can get a better deal elsewhere.
They aren't Free you Pay for them somehow in those Plans.
That is a great plan that you have.
How much are you paying per line?
T-Mobile's selling point for me is a FREE subscription to the MLB package which I would subscribe to with or without T-Mobile. Comcast's Now Internet which you have already covered is definitely bringing competition to fixed wireless internet. If not for the MLB package, I might give that a shot. For now I'm sticking with T-Mobile which I have had for over 18 months.
After crunching the numbers and looking at my cell phone usage, I dropped T-Mobile for Mint 5 GB and bought the MLB subscription separately. The savings more than pays for the subscription.
I am getting it, on monday
So this past week there are reports of tmo using the gps in gateways and notifications going to customers if they are using the service in unapproved areas. Worth mentioning, also what about the FCC rolling back net neutrality?….
I am on the $50.00 plan, its been 30 days, I used 441.92 GB
How is it?
What about that $30 offer they just told me about?
Normal family of 2, 2 TV, 1 laptop, no uploads, no fancy programs on the laptop, alexa.
Some say it’s great and some no.
Thank you
I live in rural PA. I had DLS from the phone company which provided horribly slow speeds. If the microwave oven was running I would loose internet. I do not have the option of cable or fiber because no one runs lines in my area. I looked into Verizon wireless home internet because that's who my cell phone is with, but home internet was not available at my home address, so that wasn't an option. My only option is T-Mobile or now StarLink. T-Mobile is still the most affordable option for me. The speeds I am getting with T-Mobile is higher than the advertised speeds for StarLink so unless my speeds significantly tank, I will be staying with T-Mobile. For my internet needs it is all I need.
Yes I think you sound like the ideal THI customer. Glad it’s working out.
We tried it. Couldn’t get over 70gb download speeds no matter where we placed the router so we returned it. We were really hoping the $40 plan was going to work for us to save a little. Would never pay $60 for it. We get gigabit with AT&T for $75.
depends on the adress where you lived maam❤
@@jessacabantugan Yeah, we were hoping we were in a good service area but that wasn’t the case for us, unfortunately.
Michael, RUclips is offering a discount of the NFL Sunday ticket for the next season. Can you please look into it and do a video talking about it? It is available through May 16.
I probably won’t do a dedicated video, but it will be included in my monthly update and newsletter.
On the south shore of western Suffolk county in NY the service is absolute junk in my experience. They say that they de-prioritize under heavy load but in reality, with speeds dropping to under 2mb/s it is unusable as home internet. When you call to complain they will tell you that there is a problem with the towers. The trouble is they never send crews out to repair the towers.
I got T Mobile 5G Internet for the express purpose for using while RVing. I will keep using it until they cut me off. If that happens, they are getting there box back. Do you have a suggestion on the best Internet options for those that travel frequently?
Well I actually think what you’re doing is the best option until they crack down on THI usage outside of fixed home addresses. I know some people who have Visible (especially the premium plan) just rely on the unlimited mobile hotspot, but it’s capped at 10Mbps with the premium plan. I’ll keep looking around.
@@MichaelSaves Thank you for such a quick reply. I am researching hotspots now. My main usage would be steaming TV, on up to two TVs, while RVing. I currently have FUBO. I'm not sure how much data I would need for this on a monthly basis. For now, I'm away from home for a max of two weeks. I'm not sure if a hotspot could handle my needs.
Sounds like performance is based on where you live. At least there is a trial period.
True. You have to check the coverage on the website if the 5G unlimted slot are still available on your location.
My selling point was the $200 rebate , I get sometime in July 13
A visiting relative brought one of these with him to visit and I was so impressed that I decided to get it, but when I put in my address it said service is not available in my area! How can that be when he was pulling down over 100mps with his???? At my house!
They don't offer it to everyone because of network capacity. He got it because his home address qualified. Check back and maybe it'll be offered for your house soon. Also, Verizon's home internet may be an option? You can enter your address in this tool on my website to see available options: michaelsaves.com/internet-plan-comparison-tool/
Unrelated.. They just announced next Gen TV in Southern Arizona. I went to the site and saw the video. I am still clueless as to what this is or why I'd want it. Is tablo compatible with next gen tv? Could you please do a video on this? Confused am I.
Will it delay the tv signal on a smart tv?
It should not
What exactly does a wifi mesh access point do? Or how is it beneficial? Thanks
Wifi range. Home internet signal works only 10 feet with a mesh it will add another 15 feet. So if you have a big house its advisable to get a mesh
Thank you so much this helped out alot verizon is stepping up their game
I don't understand why my Deco S4 cut the Wi-Fi speeds in half from the modem on T-Mobile home internet
Does anyone have this service and is it any good
Just got it...Ft. Wayne, IN. So far 260-400/50-80 speeds. Tech support told me I am close to a tower, so that must be a factor. My gateway came with a bad SIM card and I was initially annoyed; however, a quick trip to the T-Mobile store and all was good. I give T-Mobile big props for top-tier customer service. I'm very pleased so far.
It's worth taking the 15 day trial IMHO.
Is there any RUclips plans cheaper than $79.20/mo.. please?!!
Ok does anyone know how to disable the GPS tracker on the T-Mobile 5g home internet device? Are they really going to halt thousands of monthly service income? There are other options way cheaper than $160 a month.. something stinks here
Can u keep your current Internet service while testing T-MOBILE internet
Yes, I recommend that for the 15-day test drive. You can set up the T-Mobile service and then switch the Wi-Fi for any devices you want to test it on -- phones, TVs, computers, security cameras, etc. If it doesn't work out, switch the Wi-Fi back to your existing internet provider and cancel the T-Mobile service.
T mobile has terrible service.. I'm a trucker and it's been the worst service I've ever had in 17 years...
You been testing it 2 years? That tells you something
What does it tell you? I’ve been using it alongside Verizon Home Internet as I’ve tested both 5G options.
Only worth it if you live in a small household. 3 people max I'd say
Definitely depends on ages. Teens use a lot more devices than toddlers.
@@MichaelSaves I disagree that statement as for about a year 1/2 my oldest Niece in her 20's, and my great nephew who recently turned 5 had to move in with us after some family issues making upwards of 7 to 8 people in my house when other family was here for family gatherings, and I've never had an issue with slow down on my T- Mobile internet once i got the signal metrics dialed in, and this also includes using my own WiFi mesh setup with smart outlet adapters for lights, along Google Nest Home Hubs, and speakers for controlling them, and playing music throughout my house.
@@CommodoreFan64 having to pay for a mesh hardware defeats the purpose of not having to buy additional equipment...
@@sportsMike87 Stop being cheap, if you want good WiFi coverage across your house don't rely on your ISP as they are going to do the bare minimum, plus you end up with less control over your home networking. Buy it once, set it up, keep the firmwares updated, and you won't have to do it again for several years till WiFi standards change in a massive way.
@@sportsMike87 Also if you ever change your ISP, then all you'll need to do is swap out the modem/gateway, and you won't have to waste time setting up a whole new network, and going through all your devices to reconnect them, which if you're someone like me with a lot of IOT devices, computers, phones, game consoles, etc.. could take several hours typing in the password, and something resetting stuff back to stock so the new password sticks, & for a couple of my outdoor IOT devices like light bulb adapters, and cameras involves a ladder to find the reset pin, which no fun!! So again stop being cheapskate, and get dang Mesh network setup!!!
Latency under load is not as good so beware gamers
NOPE. Half the state T-Mobile is down and off line, again...
when you tell them 'HEY THIS DOESN'T WORK' they say they can not detect a problem...
No internet, no nothing... T-Mobile = dead space.
Why they want their money for prepaid credit card and they want your credit card so if you're behind or something like that they automatically pulled out so if you're like a low on funds in like and don't have much funds you live paycheck but by paycheck it's no good for me
When tmobile wireless was clear wireless home Internet before sprint biught them out and then join forces with tmobile you could take a clear wireless internet modem anywhere and still have service but what tmobile dose is lock the modems so they dont work in different locations its all about money im therw is a hack around this out there somewhere
I clicked on your link but could not find anywhere to enter my address to compare plans.
Should be here michaelsaves.com/deals/deal-alerts/#internetservice
@@MichaelSaves Yeah, it seems like it should be. But all it says is "Enter your address here..." but there is no place to enter anything.
@@poppynlilys_dad774 I show the tool in the video toward the end. That is what it looks like. There is a field toward the top to enter your address. You may want to try a different browser?
@@MichaelSaves Perhaps it's because I'm using a Chromebook?
@@poppynlilys_dad774 no but maybe an ad blocker could interfere.
Sounds like shady business practices to me. I will not be a customer.
Did you use home internet the way we advertised you should? Awesome, we are going to block you and charge you an extra fee for doing exactly what we wanted you to do. Pay us more for the same thing we advertised to you last year.
Testing for 2 years? LMAO!
Yes I have relied on only 5G services for 2 years. My first time with THI was 2021. It has proven to be reliable for my needs (personal and business).
Always higher prices country is nuts with inflation not as high as grocery stores. 😊
I would never use a home internet service from T-Mobile. I have fiber internet.
Look at those pathetic upload speeds.
Hmmm... But everything works fine! Running my life and an entire business on 5G home internet.
Yeah, your website did not help me at all. So thanks? I guess?
