I noticed my TMo gateway dropped to 3 bars when it was previously 4 bars. I raised it about 18 inches and rotated the unit about 20°. Right back to 4 bars! 250down and 45 up.
I signed up for amplified (middle plan) recently. I am genuinely shocked at the speeds I’m getting. Significantly more than advertised. 750-850 down, 80-120 up, and 14-18ms ping. Saving $80 a month vs. Comcast. I signed up based on your review. Thank you!
@ IL. Chicago suburbs. I also lowered the plan to $35 with no change in performance. I believe the key is getting the white amplified router and obviously having a close tower with the high speed bands. I have one about a half mile away.
I signed up for the all in plan two days ago from their website. The next day I get an email with my order and notice that they are shipping it to a wrong address. I call them up and the support person cannot change the shipping so will cancel the order but place a new order to the correct address. Today I get an email showing both orders still active and the second new order was not for the all-in plan but the lowest plan. The level of incompetence is staggering. I called and cancelled both orders.
I get consistently really fast speeds, like 800 down and 150 up. I don’t game I only stream so I don’t know how it works for that, but what I use it for does the job!
I use what’s now called the $35 plan I’ve had it for over a year. I’ve had two outages speeds are very inconsistent, but they still get the job done for streaming and that’s all that really matters. There have been improvements on the network in my area speeds in the last month have gotten a lot better. I’ve still never seen that 415 download speed, though I’m in the high upper 200s middle 300s I’m in Southeast Wisconsin
I switched to TMHI in October from 6 Mbps DSL. So far it’s been great, most times getting around 300-450 Mbps. The exception was the week around Thanksgiving was extremely slow between 5-60 Mbps and very high ping numbers. Internet was very laggy during that period. Fiber was just installed in my location but if T Mobile keeps working like it has and at the same price I’ll probably keep it since there’s no contact.
Seems to be a lot of variance based on geographical location; probably a good idea to find reviews of the service from local subscribers...especially if it is a more rural area.
I have this in west Texas and all day every day my speeds are around 1100 mbps to 600mbps. I have no issues with mine. Just my smart tvs and some appliances.
Just got T mobile with the new Gateway.I had to call customer support for the 10 digit access code. Also transferred both phones from AT&T to T mobile which resulted in an internet discount and less for phone service than AT&T costed. We had moved from NH to NY where they did not have T mobile and only Xfinity internet which charged $94.99 per month for about 2 years with the 1 GB modem, and was going up to $114.99 if we stayed. AT&T elite for 2 phones was about $153.00 per month and had just gone up about $5.00 Monthly per phone line. Plus when Xfinity installed Internet, moving to another apartment, there was a $100.00 installation fee. So this T mobile internet and phone services costs less than over $155.00 a month for 2 phones and now Xfinity internet would have been $114.99 per month with no other choice there. By the way we had dropped cable TV and home phone there and here too, only having Over the air TV mainly to see Me TV there and now from NYC stations versus Boston at the previous location. 😊
The TMobile 5G wireless just didn't work for me and I was hoping it would. The speeds were all over the place and very inconsistent. One minute I'd have 250Mbps down. A half hour later I'd have 4Mbps down. I had 4-5 bars on the gateway, too. I just don't think it was quite ready for my area and may have been overloaded. I may try it again sometime but I prefer a wired service for more reliability.
Question on the ‘only use from one fixed home location’. I need for a boat that we often use at the dock ‘ the home location’ but what happens if we head out. Will service just be blocked due to location change ? Currently paying $50 a month for tmo 5G hotspot capped at 100gb. This product would be great for me but not if blocked when away from the ‘home location’
I just bought Quantum Fiber price for life 200 mb by directional $30 a month with auto pay price for life , had it one month now works great no issues so far. $35 with no auto pay.
that speed is good enough for 4k streaming, provided that there are not too many wifi devices connected to your network. I have cable internet and I'm paying $85 for 500 mb....BUT i'm getting around 300 ish mb download and 7 ish mb upload on a good day, I had the Cable techs come to my house to check why I am not getting something close to the "Promised" speed. They just told me that the coax cable from the cable company to my house it is just too old. Go figure. No Fiber choice here either. If I had fiber internet, they offer twice the speed for almost half the price, and for what I see on this video, 5g it is not a choice either.
They have been advertising a $20 backup plan that is intended to kick in when your cable ISP goes down. It's limited to 120 GB per month. I'm wondering if it will work standalone. That's said, T-Mobile uses CGNAT so you never get a real IP address which makes some stuff, like security cameras, fail.
Thank you for the video! I just got my rely internet I want to know any special techniques to set up mesh wifi system if I am using mine because I tried setup my Tp-link but unsuccessful. Can you get a video to talk about that.
I don’t have TP-Link, but I’ve definitely seen this question on forums before. There is a T-Mobile forum, but I would start with T-Mobile support. Call them and see if they can help.
Never had an issue with the phone service during the past 15 months. The home service was good enough for streaming but gaming was a no go. Received a random speed boost after a month roughly. The lag spikes made gaming impossible. I'd experience issues I wouldn't normally had I been connected to my normal wifi or wired to a satellite through FiOS. Speed never let me down I can say that. The deal breaker was it wouldn't be good as a cheaper alternative to substitute for FiOS because there's others in the house. And I can't run wires to backhaul the mesh network I think is the way to say it.
@@JCNOAOUI was referring to console, I'd imagine the lag spikes would be the same for PC? Or no? I say that because I'd always be a yellow bar using the home service playing destiny and a green bar means good connection to the game or host.
Not really unlimited if they will impose a slowdown due to data usage. Think about if you had this in a home of (ex) 6 with several being teenagers and one or both parents that work from home.
I wouldn’t allow T-Mobile to automatically draft my bank account or debit card. There are too many data breaches and it is sometimes difficult to stop the automatic drafts.
Loving the new plan breakdown! I’m leaning towards the 'Rely' plan for the price, but those streaming perks on the 'All-In' plan are tempting. Anyone actually use them? 🤔
Well, I had a very bad experience. Just recently, the T-Mobile home internet and home phone. They were advertising a deal at $30 a month for both well. I paid $50 a month. Just for a home internet so I got online to see if I qualify for the home internet and home phones for $30 a month. Why not save 20 bucks? Well, in the long run that didn't work out for me. I ended up with a bill at $150 a month. Now, that kind of be beat the purpose of saving any money. But my story goes further. I will post more about the story as it unwinds.😢
Love t-mobile since I switched from Cox over a year and a half ago. It is more reliable than cox and the price point is great. Just ran a speed test. 195.33 download and 40.85 upload speeds at 6:17 PM. I run RUclips tv and surf the internet at the same time with no problems.

Their customer service is exceptional when you compare it to verizon, ziply, ATT, etc. I live in a rural area where cable and other high speed internet isnt available, so this has been a God send. Plus if power gets knocked out, phone lines down, etc I dont lose internet. I have 5G towers in line of sight so my speeds are good to great. The only other real option is Starlink, and they are running off a 30 year old business model where you have to buy equipment and still pay $100 or more per month, and I wouldnt give elon musk a dime.
His speeds that he shown are definitely true. Think it’s more of a location thing that counts for it too, Seen it all the time workin at metro, but I use 3.5 tb last month and my speeds stayed above 150 mpbs down and 30-50 up.
That unlimited is a total lie, in my area there is no unlimited they do not have a place are there tower for you they want to put you on a wait list with thousands and thousands of more people that is on that wait list you will never get an unlimited plan through T-Mobile it is a total scam shame and a lie I live 10 mi from the tower and I can't get it they only give me $150 megabytes and when I use that they turn my service off

@@R.I.PXXX999no. Still at $30 bucks when I got it 2 years ago
I got T-Mobile home internet I get over 600 plus Mbps download
We finally got fiber... $59 a month for 2 Gbit
I've been using t-mobile home internet for 2 years now and couldnt be happier.
I’m 220-250 down and 11-13 up
What about the Backup plan? I already have a primary home internet provider.
It's interesting. Do you feel you need it? It's not unlimited, but seems to use a similar gateway as the Rely plan.
So you’re telling me that when I spend 1.2tb of data my internet will be so slow that I won’t be able to watch even a video on RUclips
His speeds that he shown are definitely true. Think it’s more of a location thing that counts for it too, Seen it all the time workin at metro, but I use 3.5 tb last month and my speeds stayed above 150 mpbs down and 30-50 up.
I'm on this
Love my T-Mo Home Internet. As long as they don't mess with my price lock I'm not moving.
I get Netflix and Apple tv for free
Finding WHERE its available is the issue.
Some of the comments here are saying that their is a cap so im not sure who to believe now lol
I explain in the video. Speed slower after 1.2TB.
T-mobile internet is great if you like watching RUclips in 144p.
That unlimited is a total lie, in my area there is no unlimited they do not have a place are there tower for you they want to put you on a wait list with thousands and thousands of more people that is on that wait list you will never get an unlimited plan through T-Mobile it is a total scam shame and a lie I live 10 mi from the tower and I can't get it they only give me $150 megabytes and when I use that they turn my service off
Love tmobile as my phone and internet provider. Highly recommended compared to satellite internet for those who are a gamer lol. the ping rate/ latency. The lower the better. The higher it is well good luck on that call of duty or any game session 😂
I got sling TV no issues
Do you get locals in your Sling package?
I get fox,NBC and abc@@MichaelSaves
@@MichaelSavesWe get CBS with Paramount.

so each plan 60 70 or 80 dollars and a cap. also throttling during busy time. so another scam no better than cable internet. they can keep it.
So Far, So Good, No Changes Here, Now, Or, the Foreseeable Future, especially, at the Price Point of $35.00 with a voice line…
You could barely get anything depending the area you’re at now
RUclips Tv INCREASING $10 IN jANUARY 2025
*"To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we’re updating our monthly price from $72.99/month to $82.99/month starting January 13, 2025."*
Their investment in greed. Others R getting more nd they want more for the investors.
I don't want 5g anywhere near me...
No
Everyone sucks in some way out another
