Lol that’s the only reason he is getting away with it is because they’re trying to predict the next logical situation and Ben is just randomly going places making it unpredictable lol
Sam consistently over thinks everything thinking he’s the smartest person in the room, same thing happened in season 1 taking the roundabout route through Cancun
I love how Ben and Adam both made the same "NewYorker" joke in the same place an hour apart

Ben last episode: “I’m going to travel from relatively small city to relatively small city”
Ben this episode: “Yeah let’s go to Lille and Brussels!”
Yeah he could have gone
Maubeuge-Jeumont-Charleroi-Liege- 1. Maastricht-Utrecht-Groningen-Eemshaven-Borkum 2. Aachen-Munster-Emden-Borkum
Poor Ben with the curse of Lille
i mean, he said relatively, so i guess he compared those cities to tokyo
E
Geography (and just travelling in general) isn't a strength of Americans. They stand out like a sore thumb in every country they visit.
Yeah. I really believed for a while he had a great chance to win when he said that, especially when later Sam straight up decided to head to Brussels to get to him.
Sam and Adam: making some masterplans
Ben: so anyway i'm hiding in the woods
@don't be surprised shut
If Ben doesn't know where he's going, how can they predict him LOL.

Everytime ben doesn’t try to outsmart them, he outsmarts them

And every time he tries to outsmart them he fails
Honestly if he just got on the nearest train he would’ve probably been fine
What's the opposite of outsmarting? Dumbfounding? Yeah, he dumbfounds them.
E
Ben's undecisiveness and unpredicability is sctually a massive advantage. If you dont know what youre doing, how will the enemies know
The only thing I'm annoyed by is his inefficiency in 1) picking cards ahead of time & 2) not at least using his train rides to check all the options.

I love that Ben's biggest advantage is that his friends are galaxy brain over-thinkers who will always over-plan and assume the others are doing the same 😂
Adam & Sam: "Given all possible permutations of travel routes and taking into account his goal it is the most likely iteration taht he seeks to go to the following town so if we adapt in this way we will actually have the highest possible likelyhood of cutting him off given the most logical moves for him!"

Since they’re in Europe the “go 1 mile” challenge should really be “go 1 kilometer”

@@asgerwurtzrasmussen2660he did it because walking around the fences and buildings to that one mile and back to the train station would have taken longer than the veto therefore wasn’t worth it. After the trouble he had to touch a pigeon in Amsterdam in the last Jet Lag season, Sam wanted none of it 😂
I think there's a reason they made this card more general. If it were specifically to touch a bird, that'd be impossible.
It’s hilarious how Ben tries to trick Sam and Adam into thinking he’s gonna get a flight, but then they realize Ben’s trick bc it was too late and then tag him, then Sam uses a technicality and completes a challenge while the team can’t chase him. Two more episodes until the finale? #TeamAdam!

Chasers: It says he's by the water... I think he's doing a challenge.
Meanwhile Ben: standing in the forest very chilly
I love how he confused a babys foot steps running to a fully grown man 🤣
You would be surprised how paranoia and panic effect the human person. You could start hearing things or confusing people or sounds. Like Ben did. He thought everyone person with a hat was the chasers. And he thought that the baby was one of the chasers.
Right? Must have been one heck of a baby.
Ben is the most adorable thing ever. Possibly the highlight of the show.

Sam constantly finding loopholes to the rules and challenges is so infuriating 🤣
I was almost screaming: "no! Humans don't count!", But if it doesn't say, I guess fair enough. Keep it in mind when making the rules next season
its not really in the spirit of the competition to be honest, not really any fun if you just ignore the point of the cards

The editing on this show is INCREDIBLE. Absolutely maximising the funny.
I love how Ben and Sam are basically opposites. Same is thinking moves and moves ahead to set himself up for the best possible sprint in the future, while Ben just meanders with the flow of the wind so they keep failing to catch him at easy spots. He comes off as chaotic because they cant figure out the pattern, but it's just because there is no pattern. Lawful Neutral vs True Neutral at its finest. Then you have Adam in a freaking disguise.
Sam - Lawful Neutral
Ben - True Neutral
Adam - Chaotic Neutral
Ben and adam - gay and annoying af
Lawyering the challenge rules can be a whole show unto itself.
I rolled my eyes when he said "technically, humans are animals.."
At least he asked the other guys. Not as bad as the "hill" in Holland last season
It's not fun to go around the rules
I hate these technicalities. It takes away the spirit of the game and how the cards are meant to be perceived.
@@ericcastle5704 he’s the only one who does it because he’s in charge and the other guys are too nice imo. It’s such crap always finds a way to cheat to get ahead (the hill last series too)
Sounds like the strategy would be to collect as much coins before the first tag, and then use all of them when you are the runner in round 2
Pretty much what Sam's plan was to do. He's at nearly 6k coins. His only disadvantage here is his time to run came at a very bad time.
if he manages to get to zermatt it'd be pretty fun
That's one option. I do wonder what would happen if someone just focused purely on evasion and then moved to their zone at the last minute. A lot of the chasers' strategy is built on prediction based on a known end goal, if you just make deliberately hard-to-follow moves, that no longer works.
Ben vibing in the forest while Sam and Adam are trying to calculate every algebra problem ever
I love how ben just gave his water to some random french kid
This is such a fun challenge but what’s the funniest is them trying to pronounce french places
Ben had a really good start to this episode
I was really hoping that when they went back upstairs they wouldn't find him. Good episode
He still had an advantage right until the end. The airport is more than big enough, and if he hid better, he'd've kept quite a lead into the next day.
But even if he managed to get on a train, I think that it wouldn’t be that hard to step on the train before it left
@@1224chrisng At some time he would have to get on a train out of the Airport anyway, which means being more easily findable

Because he is such a bad player. I bet he uses exploits in video games as well
That's the reason why i always root for anyone else to win
I guess when it’s your show no one can really stop you
lmao you all can stay mad.
While I agree, it would have been better content for him to interpret the card as if it was made in a rush.... I kinda enjoyed the go back to Ben and Adam to finish it, rather than just asking a stranger for a high five, or tapping himself.
I love this show so much. Ben is so adorable, Sam is so smart and Adam is quite possibly the nicest man ever. Love you guys. Thanks for all the amazing work.
The infamous Sam outsmarting the card to get coins that everyone on Nebula either hates or loves lmao.
Adam: he’s got to be so paranoid
Ben: I think there’s an owl there, that’s fun
Adam: Things are quite bad
Ben: *You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round*
If I had a nickel, for every time Ben ended up at Lille during this season, I'd have three nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. At the end of the day, we're all children at heart, so stopping by the Lego Store as a stress reliever is a plus. Ben deserved his frites, felt bad he was hungry and had no water! Gotta say, it was pretty painful seeing Ben just standing on the airport station's platform instead of getting on the train already on the platform and going somewhere else to eat frites. Not getting on that train was what ended his run. Also, that's not an owl that Ben heard! That is the common wood pigeon or the Columba palumbus. Their range is mostly Europe but they're also found in Morocco, the Fertile Crescent, Iran's Caspian coast, and southeastern Kazakhstan
kim jong un dont you have duty to do

I remember at the time when I first watched it, I saw he was going to Maubeuge and instantly just thought "That's genius!", but then instead of taking advantage of it and just crossing the border straight from Maubeuge to Charleroi, he goes via Lille and Brussels. 🤦♂
please continue this forever.
Ben and adam: trying to run from the others asap
Sam: can I touch you?
Humans being animals feels like it goes directly against the intention of the card, I would call that a cheat!
Ok a human is not in the spirit of the card. Twisting the meaning of the cards to make it easier takes all the fun out of the game.

Adam: making the worst decisions
Sam: making master plans
I tried to figure out how colossally they screwed up last week
ruclips.net/video/SrU9YDoXE88/видео.html
This might be helpful in figuring it out
Getting off the train the runner will take later is probably the worst possible action you can do (that's not deliberately screwing you).
"almost had a heart attack earlier because I heard someone running behind me but it turns out it was a... baby." oh ben
Sam and Adam: We need to think like Ben, read his mind and figure out what he's doing
Ben's mind: There's a Lego store!
The Tour Perret in Amiens wasn't designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the only Wright work in Europe is in Ireland, but Adam was pretty close with when it was built! As part of the reconstruction of Amiens after severe damage during WWII, architect Auguste Perret (who also worked on the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées where France's National Orchestra plays as well as rebuilding La Havre) designed France's first skyscraper that's over 100 meters that he originally intended as an office building. It was constructed between 1949 and 1952, though the planning for it began in 1942
"Those clouds look fake" hits different when the app/service drags the video resolution to 240p.
Ngl it doesn't feel nearly as fun when Sam uses loopholes to get his coins cuz those challenges actually sound really fun to watch them try and he ends up wasting them by using a loophole to avoid actually _doing_ the challenge
Is Ben overestimating how far a mile is, or does he just really not like to walk..
there might have been no direct route
I also don't get it...
He had to get back to the station in time, and there was a time crunch.
It is a mystery to me why Ben didnt do the 1 Mile challenge. It is EASILY doable in 1 hour. Instead he walked for probably a mile in some random forest. Why would he do that?
4:30 vetoing that challenge while reading "bikes" behind his back was one of the saddest moments of this whole series for me, finding a rental bike and going and coming back I think he could've done another challenge
Chasers: he must be so paranoid right now
Ben: I think there's an owl over there
Sam: Okay here’s all the train info I need to do it.
Adam: Nobody can find me, I brought disguises
Ben: hey look, legos!
Up to this point the guys seemed to generally understand that there are ways to play technicalities and make for a less entertaining show and made strides to avoid doing that. With that context, Sam pushing to include humans as “technically animals” feels a little cheap. He did ask for permission and that makes it far better, but when you do that you’re putting the responsibility of being a nag or buzzkill on those who may feel you’re in the wrong. They agreed to it, but there are social pressures that have weight here, especially when you encourage fans to root for a different people. Not game ruining, just the first damper I’ve seen on what has otherwise been some of the best content on RUclips
I love how Ben is just sitting in the woods😂
Humans should not count as animals
The only reason Sam bent that rule is because vetoing the card would've penalized him more
You guys need to have an impartial judge on call who can clarify rules and make decision as to what counts as a challenge completion and what doesn't
25:48 *chefs kiss* legit my favourite moment from this episode
"My best bet would be a raccoon"
Good luck finding those in Europe
Chasers: *panicking*
Ben: "This looks like a fancy car"
Sam was smart about that card. You can argue it "breaks the spirit of the game" or whatever, but by the interpretation of the card, he's correct. Humans ARE animals, and claiming that it's implicit that humans don't count, or that "animals isn't used that way in regular conversation" misses the point of why it's great: that information *isn't* on the card, so he's working entirely within the bounds of the rules.
You can still find it cheap. I find it cheap.
This is actually such a well made idea for a video series, keep it up!
The series is soo much hype! I love it. Please keep doing it!
Taxis shouldn't have been allowed, the chasers already have a big enough advantage without it imo
Every episode I imagine how much fun it must have been to the runner to see al the footage of the chasers.
2:23 Tells you how good the train travel in Western Europe (or at least between France and Benelux countries) is when there are no more Paris-Brussels flights after 1:30 PM. Trains have basically replaced almost all air travel 😁
And honestly, what's the point of a flight between Paris and Brussels other than facilitating connections to long-haul flights? A flight is 55 minutes but trains can make it from closer to the respective city centers in less than an hour and a half.
Honestly it might be more worthwhile to arrange trains between the airports that maintains intra-airport security clearance than fly the route.
Train didn't replace air travel. Air travel never made sense for those kind of trips.
@@RogerAckroid well the trip between Boston and New York, which has a driving distance of only 20ish miles longer than Paris-Brussels, has 70 nonstop flights tomorrow compared to 2. Train infrastructure and use that exists in Western Europe simply doesn't in the US, even in parts of the country with reasonably high population density like the Acela corridor or California. That's the point @Fortzon is trying to make
@@kevinreilly51 yes but the point I wanted to make is that in order to replace it means that sometimes in the past, plane was a sensible solution. It never was.
