Kinda makes sense though, it’s essentially a 3 way tug of war. The only way I could see them actually getting to their landmark would be to do what Sam started with but do that for a few sessions to get enough coins to go ALL THE WAY to that point.

I wanted to talk about the text in that card. At the end it said that if the phone got stolen, Sam would pay for 75% of the phone, not the full price.
I am even more impressed by him thinking about how he could swim to the middle of that lake to get away from all the buildings. That's some serious dedication right there.
@@noelaguirrechavez4462 I think it might be because Ben and Adam write most (if not all) of the cards, so I’m guessing Sam was supportive in the idea and covering some of the cost if stolen but the guys were also okay with the risk since they put the card in there
They mentioned in their extra episode for Nebula subscribers only that they write all the challenges together, all three of them. Sam has his own channel “Half as Interesting” with 2M subscribers and he asked Nebula if he could start a new series with this concept that he came up with. I think Sam owns this entire channel, I think he’s the owner of the show with Nebula as their investor/sponsor which probably why Sam is willing to pay them in case anything goes wrong. Everything in Jetlag gets paid by Nebula (they probably take a cut of the earnings) but that means Sam probably does not have to invest much into this channel which would be amazing because Sam is probably quite wealthy/rich because his other channel is doing great

Some farmers have little trains they pull with their tractor through the fields (for when there's a school field trip). Would've been hilarious if Ben would've managed to complete his challenge in one of those.
Idk why none of them used escooters at any point, I mean you can see rentable escooters in multiple of the cities they visit throughout this series and I dont believe that it would have been against the rules as these are not considered rideshares/taxis

Throughout this series Sam shows us a healthy model of being competitive while also having fun. Adam has treated it with fever-dream levels of anxiety and emotional investment. And Ben has had a lovely train holiday in Europe while vaguely taking part in some sort of competition thing? It's been such a brilliant series; thank you so much to all of you involved in making it and good luck to you on whatever future projects you choose to do!!
Edit: After watching the aftershow and hearing the slightly graphic details of Ben's physical suffering during the game, I have new respect for the effort he put in. Thank you Ben for soldiering on in such good spirits - it was, as you might say, great content 😁

I did used to agree with you a bit, but they discussed in the aftershow how when they came up with the tasks the original idea was for the person who got them to be able to interpret them 'creatively', inspired by the .British comedy series Taskmaster. They also said they've cut down on that quite a bit now because of the disapproval of us, the viewing public, at some of the more 'creative' interpretations

@cooltwittertag I'm sorry but that's not correct. This train ist a DB class 407 train. The international routes between France and Germany are shared between SNCF and DB, and the one from Stuttgart top Paris is using DB rolling stock. The Lady in the train is also a DB employee since personnel ist switched at the Border Stations on these routes and at the time of that clip the train is still in Germany between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.
I just found this channel less than 24hrs ago and watched all of season 3, then 2, then 1, and it's mindboggling that these guys don't have millions of subscribers already?!? Their content is creative, engaging, and beautiful, especially how they include CO2 emissions for flights, and just enjoy the world around them. I usually don't write these kinds of comments, but if you guys read this, I am genuinely excited for season 4, thank you so much for these videos!

for a show composed of a bunch of self-shot clips, the production value on this is insanely high.
Despite watching HAI, I only found this channel through Tom Scott, and ended up binging the whole thing in 12 hours, and it was a BLAST- absolute favorite part was when Adam & Sam were chasing and were constantly on their phones researching in and endless panic and then it cuts to Ben just calmly vibing. No fear in sight for this guy. Pure chill.

After all that hassle Adam took, he really deserved it. Like wearing the wig and disguise and carrying the bag in a trash bag, also the last minute tag when he was on the train to his final destination (I don't remember the name) was really heartbreaking, missing out on meeting a celebrity, and also making Ben and Sam confused when he was in the metro station but didn't move because of veto period was really hilarious!! He really deserved it this season!

It was actually 20 minutes bc it took almost 10 minutes to switch runners.
Either way, he did really well after the bum luck of being stuck on a train with the chasers for more than half of his lead time.
The Deutsche Bahn is notorious for being late so props to them making this even more exciting.
Seriously, thank you so much, Sam. You single-handedly made the most entertaining show on RUclips in a very very long time. I really cannot wait what else there is in store.
I accidentally came across the first episode of this series Yesterday. Not only did I get hooked by the first episode. I've watch this whole series and also watched The Connect 4 and The Circumnavigate Series.

Even though Sam lost, kudos to him for flexing his French and knowing the language beforehand. I'm half-convinced Sam came up with the idea of doing a series in France solely so he could have that advantage.

They've been doing educational video on RUclips for well over a decade now, so they're sort of the godfathers of the genre. Loved this series! Can you try doing a similar version where all three of you are runners/chasers at the same time? Here’s how it could work - there’s a start point and when someone gets tagged they have to go back to it and the person that tagged them gets a point. Sam has to chase Adam while avoiding Ben, Adam has to chase Ben while avoiding Sam, Ben has to chase Sam while avoiding Adam. Each person has a tracker that can be seen by that persons chaser, BUT the person chasing can only check it for 30 seconds once every 10 minutes. Quick challenges available to be done to block trackers or freeze opponents etc. Would work best if the play map was confined to around a big city like New York with taxis and the subway being the main forms of getting around.
Adam totally deserved this. This man was unlucky and went the extra mile with his disguise. He did it with his wit and determination! Can't wait for another season! Love how Adam said "I'm jetlagged" at the end of the game.
This has been my favorite season thus far. Despite being in a much smaller area than in the previous two seasons, this one was so much more intense! The strategy involved was super interesting as well. Thank you guys so much for making this so entertaining!

I think it's hilarious that the german mess of a train system had so much impact on the game. Its also a shame for germany that all trains in france were on time.

Easily the best season so far. The last leg was super close, but they still managed to come together for the wholesome ending. Congrats to Adam for the well deserved win, he definitely was the most entertaining to watch. Eagerly awaiting what this channel will do next!

I was kind of cheering for Ben, but he should never have gone to Brussels from Maubeuge. If he'd stuck with his original plan, I think he'd have won that quite easily.

Of all things I didn't expect this to end in a foot chase on the french countryside. Well done.
A season idea: Tag across Europe, but with a wider range and Season 1 and monopoly elements. Instead of running to a certain location, the runner has to “collect” European nations (excluding Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Iceland) by going to the country’s government building(like Westminster Palace for the UK) and then claiming it by using coins. If another runner passes through an already claimed nation, he has to “pay” the owner of the country a certain fee per minute of transit, and claiming another person’s country costs extra coins. To travel, you need to use coins as well, and you earn coins by doing challenges. Whoever has the most countries by the end of a certain time frame wins the game.

I went from watching this series as a way to pass the time to actually being really invested in this show, as well as binge watch every other episode while waiting for the episodes to come out each week.

every wednesday i wait for jet lag videos and when they finally come out im filled with excitement! for some reason i really enjoy this channel.

Not expecting you to see this but I have a possible idea for a jet lag season:
Pick a continent/country- for example South America
Then you have to race from the most northern area/town/city to the most southern one. Or vice versa.
The twist: you cannot travel by air
And you would also have your usual budget to run with and challenges to complete for extra budget.
I think this could be quite an entertaining season

Just finished the aftershow on Nebula! Very pleased this series convinced me to get Nebula, it’s been my favourite new content I’ve discovered lately.
Is it worth it? I've enjoyed this season so much I'm considering paying for the Nebula subscription to watch the recap and support the guys

And together with Crime Spree and getting future episodes early (plus any stuff from other creators you might be interested), I'd say I'm pretty happy with the value. My impatience while waiting for new Jet Lag episodes is what finally conviced me to buy Nebula and so far I'm not regretting it!

the bit trying to get through karlsruhe gives me flashback to having to change trains there on a midnight train to one headed to munich via stuttgart on a trip to austria. because it wasnt possible to get tickets for swiss trains. db ice trains are also notorious for delays and cancelations
Yeah, it's almost a given. There isn't really a segregated high speed network like France's in Germany, just loads of different busy lines with different speeds tangled up together. Last time I travelled to Germany by train the ICE had to be diverted to a single track railway going 80km/h which must have been a funny sight to locals.
If it happens to you again, you can get a partial refund for long delays but it takes quite some time to process.

This was a genuinely entertaining series, I really wanna see another season!
