- The new season of Jet Lag started sooner than we thought! And with a new season comes a new teaser for us to analyze! Just how much of the upcoming season is revealed in it this time? Well, spoiler alert.
Two notes about this video: I was unfortunately not able to get it done for the release of episode 1. So it was actually released a couple of hours later. I'm sure you'll understand. Second of all, there are a lot of clips from the trailer which I purposefully do not mention, because they are repeats from the previous teaser. Watch my other video for the complete experience! :D

Clearly, you guys did not anticipate Adam’s incredible speed
For real! He got us good!
I find it hilarious that Adam fooled Sam, Ben, and you by going to Steffisburg.
Ironically a few of us (myself included) were thinking the Thun/Spiez area because the style of the houses behind Adam and we determined that Adam could make it there (unlike Ben and Sam). But we were unable to find the location. Once we knew he went to Thun we found it in 15 mins (and someone even went there and said there are street signs that were cropped out of the image!)
In our defense, we misinterpreted the hiding zone as to be centered on the station, so the buildings were actually outside our search zone. But GG Adam, you had a complete victory!

Agreed, lol. I played it up for laughs in in the video, but I honestly think it's super cool! Fingers crossed they go somewhere near me in a future season. :)
Well, it's only a 30 mins journey with the public transport from where I live to Winterthur station and another ~ 30 mins walk to the Winterthur Töss station and it was fun!
@@Hamfrags It worked, lol 😂 Btw, this is the first time I was mentioned in a YT video ... I also hope, some northern destinations will follow on JetLag. Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway - I love them! And Scotland too.

Man, coming back now after after the wholes series, its remarkable how much you were able to get right! (Except Adam of course...but thats cuz his galaxy brain is operating on a different plane of existence! 😅)
But seriously though, The work you guys do on the JetLag discord is truly incredible.
Being able to piece together such information, down to the EXACT whereabouts of the hiders based on just a few frames of footage is insane.
You even got people all around the world to 'follow the trail' so to speak of the hiders and confirm their locations in person. Piecing together things like the pattern of concrete on the floor and tiling on the walls...Its amazing, its like im watching a detective show or something with your army of detectives all over the world chasing the trail of the jet lag guys.😅
Anyways it was very enjoyable to watch you guys piece together all those clues like that, i can only imagine what itd be like if the Jet Lag team had to hide from you guys!
Also now that the series is over i would love to see a follow up video of you guys talking about what all you got right and what all suprised you this season!

I rewatched your video before this after episode 1 and it is insane how much you and the theory guys on discord found and predicted! I hope you can get a video out covering the clips they dropped on the ending of the first episode!
SPOILER ALERT
Won't speak for Hamfrags but they did not add a lot more new information in the Episode 1 trailer. So little in fact that in compiling the images in the Google Document we used, I found 80% of the locations in under an hour. I didn't even bother claiming credit because its just the same locations we are aware of.
The majority of the clips are in and around Merlischachen, the Zug area and the train out of Zug back toward Arth Goldau.
The most interesting clips are the two that show Ben and Sam getting off at Weidlisbach (this was speculated but not proven until now), one after Sam gets caught taken at Winterthur Station, and one showing them in the field next to Utzenstorf station (not mentioned but this was from the Trailer and shows they did get off there).
Adam still remains at large.
Thanks! As Anotherdoofus said, there wasn't much new information in the episode 1 teaser. One thing it did reveal was that Sam and Adam spent a long time looking for Ben, even after they entered his hiding zone. There are clips of them going all over town!

From my experience this season, you'll probably need to be ready for something when the season 9 finale drops. A lot of locations are found super quick!

You missed that the seekers during Ben’s run went to Steinen after going to Arth goldau
There were no clips of Steinen or Schwyz. We suspected they had been stalled near Arth Goldau due to a clip of a clock in the station but no way to confirm it. We also didn't pick up they went to Zug twice, though we should have had we looked closer since the weather had changed.

13:35 I have now found it. (even though it's far after the show is over) Chances aren't guaranteed, but the houses in the shot line up to 9, 9A, and 11 on Blumenstrasse, Steffisburg.

I believe that the unfound clip is in Adam's 2nd round - I have spent 10+ hours looking and haven't found it :(
I think that sounds the most likely. It looks like it'll be somewhere in the Solothurn area, possibly the Bern Canton. That's at least where Sam and Ben are looking in the clips we have.
@@Hamfrags in my opinion, it does seem somewhat close to Lake Constance and St. Gallen, but then again we have no evidence at all so idk if we'll ever find it
@@TWCubedYeah the problem is St Gallen is only 30 minutes from Winterthur. Adam could have possibly swerved them hard with that, but I do feel like the long game is the easiest part of the search and they have ample opportunity to reverse out of the Zurich/Bern/Solothurn area back to St Gallen.

And you were right
The Clip supposedly from meggen is actually at Steinen
The still of Sam in Meggen was indeed from Meggen. They had to go there before Merlischachen because the train from Goldau didn't stop in Merlischachen. They cut it out of the episode, but if you look at the travel app on Sam's phone when he shows the route from Goldau, you can see that their route goes through Meggen.

They got out because they wanted to go to Merlischachen, and the train they were on was going to Luzern. It just so happened that the quickest way to Ben at that moment was to take the regional train which skipped Merlischachen, then switch to a local line which went back there.

It is "the way things are" from the Death Note musical. The concept of this season reminded me of the detective songs from that show. Might be a little melodramatic for a video about Jet Lag, though. :)

Wait, I’ve been in the discord for a while now, but it what channel are these clue-hunting things on?
You need the Nebula role and the Nebula speculator role. You can get them in the role list at the top of the channel list. Then you should be able to see the channel named Nebula-Speculation.
That channel is new, though. It used to be in separate threads on the Nebula-Spoilers channel, so a little hard to find. But yeah, we do our best to keep the spoilers from escaping the dedicated channels and threads.

To be fair, this whole geolocation subsection of the fandom only really started becoming a thing with season 8 to my knowledge.
Something doesnt add up to me. If they found Sam quickly, how would he have the 200 coins for four dice? I think it probably took them a while, or Sam had a second run (this is unlikely because he hides last).

They really need to do a season in South America and Africa. Can you imagine Tag South America? Or hide and seek Africa? Africa would be insanely difficult because there are no direct trains. They would have to rely on buses, taxies and planes.
Considering South america is unevenly stable my bet would be a near copy of NZ season in Chile. A nice change could be to use buses instead of a car but if they want to make it not much of a straight line they would do it by car and put challenges left or right of the main highway, and likely would need to ban roadblocks in the panamerican itself.

@@Hamfrags I don't know what @username9774 is referring to, but Bern IS the capital city of Switzerland. At least technically. The Federal Palace is there.
Switzerland doesn't technically have a capital city, but Bern is the de facto capital since that's where the center of government is.
@@NessiesVideos Switzerland has no capital city since all cantons are supposed to be equally important. The original plan was that the parlament would change canton every year. Bern was the fist canton to start and built an impressive parlament building and so everyone thought it was stupid to move the parlament every year and having to build all of that 20 something times. Bern is still the place where the parlament is, but there is no official capital city of Switzerland, neither thechnically or practically. If a foreign president visits, the visit any of the bigger citys, not necessarily Bern.
@Hamfrags Yes super common mistake, just like Americans thinking Switzerland and Sweden is the same thing.

This is one of these things I was taught in primary school (in Switzerland!) in the seventies/eighties, when we had to learn the countries and their capital cities and never questioned it or cared about since. I think if they said at school «we don't have a capital city at all» I wouldn't have forgotten that fact ... (maybe they just spoke of the Federal city and I didn't notice the difference).
Of course you're right. It's just the way you mentioned it first, I thought you want to say that city is the capital city.
