    Guys if acid reflux is a problem for you take responsibility for your health and seek medical advice. The Doc is right all those foods increase acid and acid reflux. I had gerd for a long time, I was prescribed nexium which certainly eases the symptoms but masks severe symptoms. In 2018 I was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, it's a horrible illness. I had my stomach and a section of my food tube removed. Of course there was the pre and post surgery rounds of chemotherapy. What I want to tell you is take your symptoms seriously and if you have prolonged bouts of reflux have a gastroscopy. It found my cancer and saved my life. Good luck to you all and best wishes from Australia down under. 😊

    • @chris-bd1wg
      @chris-bd1wg 2 года назад +5

      @@debbiec4407 Yes the gastroscopy is a camera that looks inside your food tube and stomach. The gastroscopy found the cancer and the gasterectomy removed it, as well as my stomach and part of my food tube. If you have Erosive esophagitis you must monitor it with a specialist, as it can cause cellular change which is what happened to me. Do you know what has caused this problem? If it is a problem with the valve joining the oesophagus and stomach (hiatus hernia)it can be fixed with a minor procedure. I wish I knew this ten years ago when I first had symptoms. Wishing you well 😊

    My wife is dealing with reflux and gerd, I notice when she eats bread, pasta and other gluten foods. She has issues within an hour of finishing eating. I have gluten allergies and I had real bad issues with acid reflux, once I went GFREE, haven't had any problems since. Before I went Gfree, I knew of celiac disease, but thought a lot of people was doing a diet fad. Until I decided to try it. Now, no more joint or "gout", no more acid reflux, my intestines and stomach are working so much better. I was actually told by several doctors (an ear, nose, and throat specialist, and a gastroenterologist) that I have Gerd, but I don’t experience a chronic cough, heartburn, or regurgitation. I burp when I eat certain foods, such as fried foods, or acidic/carbonated drinks, but other than that, I don’t have any other symptoms of acid reflux. I went into the ear, nose and throat specialist, because I had an extremely hoarse voice that got really bad after I sang. I also heard vibration coming from my throat, mostly on one side, the right side. They told me that it was acid reflux, and I don’t believe them. People have told me that they thought it was a vocal cord problem, since it got worse when I sang, and there have been times I literally lost my voice and was out of whisper for days. I also have several people that have been diagnosed with acid reflux that have told me it doesn’t sound like I have it so I would just like people thoughts on it.

    I just watched a video that said there's no link between spicy food and acid reflux.😑 After all massive amounts of the human population eat spicy food every day of their lives and these areas dont have higher rates of acid reflux or heart burn.

    Though I suffer from many unhealthy conditions . Less than a year ago ? I experienced this while sleeping . It had been the most painful in comparison to my other conditions as in horrible ! I'm sure it was due to drinking large amounts of coffee on an empty stomach . Now to be sure to eat a meal before hand and or eat small items as I drink coffee !

      It's things like french fries, fried chicken, marbled steaks. Good stuff, but it's killing us lol. An avacado is a healthy fat choice.
      French fries & fried chicken have never made anyone lose weight lol. Unless you took some major dumb after. Even still the odds are in favor of the chicken being contaminated 🤣

    I've had Acid Reflux for years. I had my gall bladder removed nearly 30 years ago as part of cancer surgery. I never knew I should be taking 'bile salts' until this year! I take one whenever I do fats and a berberine whenever I do carbs. I don't know which is doing it, or perhaps the combo, but I haven't had acid reflux since (I think it is the bile salts, truthfully). If you have no gallbladder and suffer from acid reflux and are not taking bile salts, research it and try it to see if it solves your problem. Previously, I would do a bit of baking soda in water to relieve the acid reflux, but now it is a non-issue.
