Whatever happened to him? I'm a HUGE showbiz fan of that era, but I never heard of him. I know his contemporaries, Sammy, the Nicholas Brothers, the Step Brothers, Peg Leg Bates, even Teddy Hale,,,,,,,,
Amazing . . . break dancing long before it was coined . . .
I'm very proud to say that Buck was my very good friend!
Has he passed on? I know he was born in 1929, so he'd be in his 90s.
Awesome talent from K.C. Missouri. Mr. Buckner was actually "break dancing" in 1955.....
Fabulous Tappin' ! 🎶💕

Wilby was a great player and a great guy. We worked together a lot. I'm Julian Pressley, saxophonist. God Bless Wilby's memory.
I lived in the last house across the street. Growing up Mr. Buckner would let us kids swim in the pool when his grandchildren came to visit.

Not achievable by mere mortals.
