Night Moves is the song that captured my attention as a teen, and led to me buying his albums as soon as I could afford them. Thanks for reacting to this! Love how you appreciate so many kinds of music, and give an honest listen to everything!
BOB SEGER, I SAW HIM AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND IN 1997 IN MILWAUKEE @ THE BRADLEY CENTER. 25TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY. IT WAS WAS MY 2ND BEST CONCERT SINCE 1972 .HE SANG EVERY HIT. I REMEMBER "NIGHT MOVES" THE ARENA GOT DARK AND HAD PINS OF LIGHTS ACROSS THE CEILING RESEMBLING THE NIGHT SUMMER SKY. THE CROWD WENT WILD TO SILENCE TOO HEAR HIM SING. ENOUGH SAID IT WAS PERFECTLY PERFORMED. GREAT REACTION!!!!
He is that and more! I went to high school with him. I played his music for years and for my kids,my daughter still listen to him.He still puts out new music.😍😍😍😎
I remember loving this song when it came out. I was way to young to understand what the song was about, but I loved the music. I'm kind of surprised my mom let me listen to it. 😲😁
Bob Segar is The Guy. I have 3 young Autistic sons, 12, 10, and 8, their first singer they fell in love with their music was Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band. They each were about a year old when they showed how much they loved his music. They love his stuff to this day. Old Time Rock and Roll was the song that hooked them, Turn the Page was the song that kept them hooked.
Bob Seeger wrote great songs, with stories and images just about any man or woman can relate to. And his songs get better with your age. Don"t forget him. in 20 years, these songs will double in meaning for you. Enjoy!
Bob Seger has a HUGE collection of great songs: Hollywood Nights, MainStreet, Come To Poppa, Ramblin Gamblin Man, Turn The Page, Against The Wind, Fire Down Below, Katmandu, etc. I don't where to stop!
Mainstreet is well worth a listen if you havent got to it yet! And, yes, he was very special. Really, no one has been able to pick up and carry on with the smouldering torch voice he ignited.
I was a teenager when this song came out. I would play the radio really low volume as I fell asleep and let it play all night. I remember so many times waking up in the middle of the night 🌙 and this song was playing. I love it so much and feel so good to hear it every time after all these years. Thanks for the reaction.
I love how you really appreciate good music. There are other reactionaries out there that just don’t get it. You are genuine and I really appreciate that about you!
I was able to see Bob in his 2019 farewell tour and he was still awesome. We stood in out for 4 hours in heavy rain with thunder and lightening cracking all around until the shows delayed starting. The show was so good I'd pay to do it all over again.
You said it so good: He is just so damn smooth! I cannot imagine how amazing he would be in concert. His songs, his lyrics are iconic. Every Bob Seger song is a classic. Keep enjoying them!
You cannot help but Move to this. It speaks to your soul and his voice is so smooth and soothing. Jayvee, I'm pleased to see you appreciating Bob Seger as well as so many other classic oldies from my childhood and youth. ☯️
Huge Bob fan here....this is the best one! There are lots of good ones, but the last minute of this song just kills me. Hope you listen to the rest of them, too...enjoy!
Bob Seger is a genius. Once again music I grew up with. Thanks for playing it Jayvee. I'm glad you like this kind of music. The 70's and early 80's were the bomb for good music.
Love Love L♥️VED Your Reaction. Bob Seger One Heck of an artist and finger. His Live Concerts Were Amazing and Awesome indeed. Seen him back in the 80's right here in Colorado. Love It! Love Bob Seger.
The piano on this tune really makes it work. At the time when this song was out, I had a girlfriend that loved this song. Whenever he sang the verse that said, "She was a dark haired beauty with big brown eyes, with points on her own sitting way up high". With those words, she would sit up a little straighter and really accent her breasts a little more. I never said anything about it but I would always notice that when the song played. She was the love of my life.
Bob Seger is one of the greats .. We have had so many ... I know you like the Bee Gees and I found a few that I have never heard til 2 nights ago .. Here are a few I thought you might enjoy also.. Bodyguard , Closer than Close , One , Wedding Day and You Win Again. There are so many more not like any of the 70's but fantastic just the same... Thank you for what you do.. Open people's hearts and eyes to a different time and place in music .. I heard recently that music knows no Color I believe that is such a profound statement... God Bless
I'm so happy to see you react to Bob and to appreciate the skills he has. There are so so many great Bob Seger songs to hear. I heard you not to long ago mention that you were wanting to get back into "rock and roll" for that I highly recommend "Old time rock and roll" by Bob. You probably have heard it before but never realized who it was..Follow that by "Her Strut" and "Mainstreet" to start....
Bob is awesome live and, the Silver Bullet Band is perfection....so much greatness to discover. You will be a forever fan. Yes, he is Americana, his details and you are correct, going on a long drive/trip, Seger’s playlist is a must!
"Living by the sword"......he soft balled that one in there ....and left us hanging to remember and reflect......on the inevitable (die by the sword) toooooo smooooth.
This comes on the radio and it has brought me to tears. Now that I’m 60 it hits home with me. Starting up when he was young with his girlfriend parking and the song ends when he’s old and gray remembering how the night moves.
Another vote for Hollywood Nights - a great rocker! Bob Seger concerts were amazing, some of the best shows I've ever seen. They did Night Moves and when the song slows down the stage lights went way down and spotlights hit the huge mirror ball up by the ceiling. Turning real slow like stars in the night sky while Bob sang that section. It knocked everybody out.
Love the song, enjoyed your reaction. Mr. Seger seems to make Jay smile greatly.... as he does everybody that likes his music. Thanks for your reaction....take care and be well. Peace.
I sing the chorus to my wife and say "look'n at my wife's boobs." She looks at me and rolls her eyes wondering when I'm going to grow up...I'm 58 btw. She's a good sport, 29 yrs for us next month.
Hey, my friend and I saw him in central FL in the mid to late 80s. Been to all kinds of concerts but he was one of the best, if not the best, I was in awe after that. Of course, he has many hits and great songs. Have a great evening!
Seger is a great story teller. Saw him in concert every time he was in my state. I'm just an old white girl but, I have to say that you are now my favorite channel!
Went and seen him back in the 80s and I've seen a lot of different bands in concert and he was one of my top 2 concerts! He was AWESOME!! Over 2 hours of Greatness!❤🎶
In the song Turn the Page, he sings about life on the road and on the stage. There's a line in it that says "every ounce of energy, you try to give away". That's what every one of Bob's shows are like. He gives everything he has, every night. Unfortunately, he finished his last tour on Nov 1st of last year in Philly... he's 75.
This is a BIG wonderful rabbit hole! This is one of my top favs of his !! Love the music and the lyrics- the lyrics definitely describe back in the good ole days! And nothing but facts! 😉☺️. ❤️💛💟☮️
When I was in high school, my best friend won a radio contest to have dinner with Helen Reddy. After dinner, the limo driver took us to Bradley University Fieldhouse where Bob Seger was having a concert. We got to stand backstage and watched them perform their last set. EPIC... Hey! It's national women's month. You should listen to Helen Reddy's "I am woman".
Some Bob Seger, my first concert in 1977. Ticket price $8.75 for 30th row , main floor. You had to stand on your chair in order to see as everyone was doing that. Hit after hit, it was great🎶🎵
@JayveeTV I absolutely loved your reaction to Night Moves, Bob Seger is a Michigan legend, I grew up listening to him and other 70s and 80s era stuff when I was a kid, and when I got older I started realizing what he meant in his lyrics, He snuck in those subtle dirty lyrics back in the day, but had a tasteful and smooth way of doing it lol. All the same it's a great song, and knowing it's a true story with feelings put into it made it even better. Great video bro, I am definitely subbing to you!
I cried like a baby when I saw him in concert. The most touching songs and wonderful voice. Loved him forever. Thanks for sharing with all
He's a legend. No one around to touch his writing or playing.
Whiskey smooth voice. No one like him. Thank you.
These songs makes memories come to life of when you first heard and felt these songs huh!! So cool
What!?!? :D Ok, but we did LOVE HIM! :)

This guy is so damn smooth
Bob Seger is amazing !! So many great songs! Seger is pronounced See-ger.
I remember loving this song when it came out. I was way to young to understand what the song was about, but I loved the music. I'm kind of surprised my mom let me listen to it. 😲😁
Chances are she didn't get it either. 😁
Same here. I thought he was saying 'working on the night moon'. I learned later why my mom always got a kick out of me singing it.
@Huawei is a criminal organization. That part, perhaps, but on what he was reminiscing is what I meant, and I believe you knew that.
OMG ME TOO!
Bob Segar is The Guy. I have 3 young Autistic sons, 12, 10, and 8, their first singer they fell in love with their music was Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band. I lived this song in my teenage years. Now I am 65 and reminisce like he does in this song. With Autumn closing in, I cherish those memories
Bob’s Seger live shows are something you never forget. Bob and the Silver Bullet Band are THE BEST !!!
I recommend "Hollywood Nights" next. It's my 2nd favorite Seger song; "Night Moves" is my favorite.
Hollywood Nights isn’t a song, it’s an experience.
Don't drive while listening you can't do the speed limit
Hollywood Nights is available live on RUclips
I saw Bob Seger in 1980. One of the greatest live shows I have ever seen and I am better because of it.
Love Bob Seger.. Awesome singer and awesome songs.

Such a great songwriter. Honest and introspective lyrics.
Bob's in both the R&R HOF and the Songwriters HOF. What a phenomenal talent.
One of the greatest concert of my long life. 1980 Against the Wind tour Bloomington MN.
Not a bad song in his collection, so many 70’s memories! 🙌🏻

Bob is in not only the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame but he’s in the Songwriters HOF! One of the very best!!!
Could listen to him all day. Great live. His song "Sunspot Baby" is grossly underrated. Would love to see your reaction to it.
No one's done Sunspot Baby recently. And a couple reactors have been on a Seger kick lately.
It's been fun. I'd forgotten how good Come to Poppa is.
Forgot I saw him too. !!
@@ms.chuckfu1088 Haven't seen anyone do "Sunspot Baby". They also seem to skip by "Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser" which amazes me.
My favorite Seger song & that's a long list💛🌞💛🌞💛
His concert was LIT , literally lol
Wow. I just cried listening to this. I forgot how awesome Bob Seger is. Thanks, J.
Mainstreet is well worth a listen if you havent got to it yet! And, yes, he was very special. Really, no one has been able to pick up and carry on with the smouldering torch voice he ignited.
One of the smoothest, coolest songs ever performed

That Hammond B-3 Organ in the background fills in very nicely !
SEEger. He's awesome. Used to listen to this album while in high school. Man, I feel old...
Man, you is old!

It moves you...because it's about aging. Ah, the memories of youthful passions. And the melancholy they bring at night.
Seeing him in concert was a dream come true! Turn The Page is one of my favs
The only way you can be smooth is to tell a true story. Yeah, right? Honesty and your own experience. The first flame is never forgotten.
Went and seen him back in the 80s and I've seen a lot of different bands in concert and he was one of my top 2 concerts! He was AWESOME!! Over 2 hours of Greatness!❤🎶

One of the songs that made up the musical background of my teen years in the 70’s
