"and points of her own sitting way up high, way up firm and high".Every reactor misses this truly great line.
Best lyrics ever,
Men writing women🤣
@@MadameRaven1 I'm not mad 😂
Andle Hay I’m not either, it’s just what it reminds me of.😂

"With autumn closing in." The older I get the more that phrase hits.
That's right. The song talks about the summertime. Sweet summertime. A person's late teens through their mid 30's. Then it's funny how the night moves. with autumn closing in. The beginning of the onset of 40 through 60. So much older.
You guys are mixin up like a rock with this song...this is literally about a first summertime fling...
He could have ended the song right there if he wanted ... definitely a look at a younger time, a younger moment ...
@@cs292 IMO autumn is definitely a reference to him being older and remembering the 'summertime' of his life. Funny how you remember.... I remember I remember etc.
Like a goddamn truck at 50 bro
Young lady. I came home after a crappy day. Sat on my couch and turned on my RUclips. I saw your reaction to Bob and his experience of being young in this wonderful song. Your reaction made me laugh as I enjoyed your smile, your head bopping, your feel for the soul of the track. You seem like a very genuine gentle soul who loves music and what songs mean. You put that smile back on my face today. You took all that crappy stuff I had happen and helped me throw it away. I say thank-you. For just being you.
What an amazing comment! India definitely made me laugh out loud with her reaction. She makes a great song even greater by her comments and reactions. Thank you.
Dave Sampognaro she truly does! I just love her reactions to songs that I listened to in my teens💕
India my favorite to.
aww i love that. and you're right about her smile/spirit. keep on movin up brother!
Ditto
If you aren't old enough to remember drive in movies in the " sweet summertime summertime" then you missed out on a great era of life.
Amen!
And that is a true fact,
Ur SO right! Im 60 & grateful all the old things signifying Americana were there to be enjoyed. Love 70s music!
They may be making a comeback soon with social distancing.
My mom sent me and my brother on our sisters drive in dates we were 5 and 9 lol.
The older I get, the more I “get” Seger. Never cared for him much when I was younger, but damn if I don’t love him now.
I've always liked him but I completely understand what you're saying
That's because when we're younger, we're all care-free and enjoying youth while at the same time taking for granted how short of a time we have for that. It's when we're older and we become that person longing for the innocense and vitality of youth that we understand the words more.
@@medmar76 " With Autumn closing in......"
Same here
@@medmar76 definitely not accurate, believe me even though I’m young I still think about how short of time we have 😂
“Bob nasty!!”🤣😂🤣
LOL
LOL
Somebody has to say it... YES... Yes he is! ;o)
"... I woke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off? I sat and wondered, started hummin' a song from 1962... ain't it funny how the night moves, when you just don't seem to have to much to lose? Strange how the night moves, when it's all closing in..." Some just incredible, powerful and haunting lyrics....
Hell yeah. Bob Segar is a national treasure and this track is a whole ass mood.
His storytelling is like watching a 3D movie in your head.
And then he rips out your soul.
Best way I've heard it put.
An amazing storyteller.
Bob Seger, is an excellent artist! I suggest, "Turn the Page", Hollywood Nights", Old Time Rock And Roll", "Rambling, Gamblin man", Rock and Roll Never Forgets", Against the Wind", and "Main Street"!
YES Main Street! I forgot about that one. Also YOU'LL ACCOMPANY ME.
Come to Papa
Accompany Me
Hollywood Nights a classic summer night driving song.
Like a Rock is a great one too.
Song makes me emotional. I can relate but for me and my wife it was a 73 mustang. Was with her 23 years, lost her 6 years ago :(
I going to comment that she'll an influx of Detroiters/SE Michiganders now that she's reacting to Bob.
Sorry for your loss! Lost mine 7 years ago.
So many reactors miss the genuine pathos of this song. They think it's just about sex, but it's really about lost youth and the contemplation of old age. "With autumn closing in" cuts deep.
Hugs ^^ feel your pain... ;o)
"With autumn closing in." Oh boy. That line is key to the depth of this song. It's 95% about teenage horniness, sure, but that line is a reminder that youthful carefree fun *does not last forever*
They knew how to write better back then. I always liked soft rock because of the lyrics. They either told a story, had a moral or were very romantic.
LOVE Bob Seger. Listen to "We Got Tonight", a huge hit. You will fall in love with it.
I still get chills 40 years later...1978, high school graduation, parked by the lake with my GF after the parties. I was working and practicing on my night moves, back then it took time to get buttons undone, we felt the lighting and this song was playing as we waited on the thunder...yeah, I remember
Damn. Great story!! LOL
LOVE Bob Seger. Besides Night Moves (which i heard on radio this morning), i also love HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS and STRUT. Hes been around forever! Night Moves was huge when i was in HS.
I actually LOL when you said "Bob Nasty" You are GREAT !!!
...wait until she hears Come to Pappa ROFL!
“Mainstreet” and “Against the Wind” are two of my favorites!!
Main Street is a great song.
Night moves also, fantastic.
"Bob naaasty!"
LMFAO! I love you, India! Lol
One of the top ten greatest American rock bands of all time. This is their signature song. A true classic.
Bob Seger is a master storyteller, and one of the very best in rock n roll history..From Against The Wind and Night Moves, to Like A Rock and Roll Me Away, just to name a few....He immaculately, and with great care, sets the table for the listener...All that's left for us to do is enjoy the feast....
"Hey Bob nasty, he remembered" 😂😂
That struck me as funny, great reaction.
I was that teenager when I heard this song for the first time in the late 70’s. When you are in your mid-50’s it has a different message. He’s a story teller of life.
Your reaction when you got up from the chair was the best! You're a positive light in a world that needs them!
This song came along in my teens… it is my generation’s story of growing up. Class of 78.
Mad respect India! 70 yo wm loving you connecting with my Motown brother. Used to hire him for dances for $150 a night super cool then, even better now. His songs explain the time then...and the time still now.
Bob Seger was great night cruising music. Many memories of these songs blaring from my speakers.
The slow part before the last chorus fade to me represents the end of one's prime and settling into "when autumn closes in" of their life. When it starts to pick back up, those three single guitar notes always give me goosebumps.
Started humming a song from 1962,,,,,,, with autumn closing in. He was entering middle aged, and remembering his youth.
he is from the Detroit area. so he has some sole. I am from Michigan also originally. My fovorite song of all times. Nice reaction. Loved it
One of my favorite songs of his. True story teller. Sounds ad good in concert.
When I was younger, just a kid riding with his parents in the back seat. I always wondered why my mom would reach over and start running her fingers through my dads hair whenever this song came on...well, I figured it out many years later after I started listening and understanding music, lol.
One of the great coming of age tunes of all time! I get choked up every time I hear it.
Bob Seger is one of the greatest singer song writers of all time. He turned out some of the greatest albums of all time and never got the recognition he truly deserved.
He's old in the song. He is thinking back to his youth. The song is from the 70s. The girl Nd the chevy are from 1962. That's why he's humming a song from then.
There is clip floating Round YT where Bob plays part of the first song he ever wrote. He wrote that song to impress the girl he is singing
About in this song.
Well, he's not "old," he's about 30 (b. 6/1945, song from '76). But he's not that young anymore -- just like Bruce in "Thunder Road."
@@JStarStar00 He's old enough to think autumn's "closing in"
Yeah, I've always taken the line "with Autumn closing in" as accepting that those easy, endless, summers of your youth are gone and the responsibilities of adulthood are staring you in the face. Anyway it's a line that's always given me gooosebumps.
Yes ladies and gentlemen that is what called a Classic by a living legend.
You are adorable. I get so much joy from your enthusiasm and heart! Thank you for bringing your wonderful discovery of these oldies to the world!
Bob has a lot of soul
Very soulful singer, one of the best
Bob Seger...... Great American Poet. All his songs have GREAT lyrics that make you feel like you’ve known this guy forever.
OMG, your reaction is priceless !! I soooo adore you !! LOL
I have always liked Bob Seger! Good Storyteller. You should check our " Like a ROCK" next.
I was at a remote site in Alaska when I first heard this. When my daughter heard it 20 years later, she said I listened to dirty music! Hahaha!
He was golden! 1962 the year I was born! Thrills and chills! Soulful voice!
Bob Seger was not a overnight success but when he hit his stride he just kept going, thanks for sharing him Michigan...
Yes, more Bob, please. Hollywood Nights.
This song will always remind me of those nights underneath the boardwalk and the smell of salt air, french fries, caramel popcorn and pizza and the footsteps and laughter of the people above and the endless sound of the ocean; without a care in the world.
Bob always made what I like to call baby making music the best example of this is We Got Tonight!
My local AM radio station played this song a lot during the evenings, and I used to live falling asleep listening to it, my 6 year old mind wondering what happened during the late night hours, when back then, just about everything closed down for the night.
Against The Wind, & Main Street, 2 more of my fav BoB Seger
He sounds as good today as he did way back then. Still puts on a great show and goes out of his way to make sure the fans know how he feels about them. Very humble man. Your reaction to him is priceless!
Mrs.ward here. Bob s a great story teller, and have loved his voice since 1969,with the rambling gambling man. One of his first hits.your reactions are true.
I love Seger, so many great song out there.
hi love
This is my favorite Bob Seger song. I like the up beat, and rythm 0f the song . This is southern Rock.love your reactions India.
It is a sad song about a man with sentimental remembrance...nostalgia...for his youth.
He's iconic
This is THE perfect ballad detailing how we go from young feckless love in the summertime of our lives, to ultimately settling down as the autumn years close in seeking real love.
If this one made you stop and wonder about the men in your life India, his song You'll Accompn'y Me will make you stop and think about the only one you ever loved, with you or not.
FYI, the music video for this song featured Matt LeBlanc from Friends and John Galecki (I.E. Leonard Hofstadter from The Big Bang Theory).
Big Boss, Amen Brother. I had my Night Moves guy but been with my Someday Lady You'll Accompany Me guy for 26 years.
@@peggygibbons479 Still waiting/looking for her where I'm at. :'(
@@bigboss6867 Where are you at? How old are you? I have matchmaking skills.Do you have a drivers license? That must be a yes. Do you have a probation officer? That must be a no. LOL
You guys are mixin up like a rock with this song...this is literally about a first summertime fling...
Miss India, you had to understand the times, livin' in it back then, "back room, alley or trusty woods, even the backseat of my '60 chevy", It was the thing with those of us who "were young, restless and bored", no cable tv, no internet. It was a much better time to be alive.
Your reactions are priceless, love your expressions.
One of my favorites. Beautiful song.
Such a wonderful song, it was an honor to see someone else experience it for the first time
that man's voice had so much soul in it...
Points of her own standing way up high. Way up firm and high! I wonder what he was talking about? And close to the end where is sounded like he was doing the motorboat!
One of my all time favs thanks for the reaction u rock
the line "with autumn closing in " means getting older and remembering what you did when you were young - - - love that line !!!!
You can never go wrong with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
Thank you for putting a big smile on my face.😊
Bob Seger is a phenomenal story teller through his music, his amazing voice goes hand and hand with all of the stories that he sings about.
I've always liked soft rock because of the stories they tell in the lyrics.
Always loved this song. He uses so mamy metaphors in this piece. Summertime being his youth;. Autumn being further along in his life. There's dozens of wonderful Seger songs. My faves are Like A Rock, Her Strut, Hollywood Nights, etc.
You are going to fall down the Seger rabbit hole.
😉
Bob seger is that man no one gives him his due one of the best rock acts ever no bad songs
I'm 58 starting listening to Bob Seger when I was 13 or 14 and I still do.
I always get a kick out of you kids discovering the truly great ones. I bought this house from the week it came out when I was in high school. Unfortunately you missed the most important verse in the song because you paused the video to make a comment. The verse is this; we weren't in love oh no far from it, we weren't searching for some pie in the sky Summit, we were just young and restless and bored, living by the sword. Go back and listen to the song and its entirety without pausing there it changes the entire meaning. And if you're on a Bob Seger kick, don't miss one of the greatest most beautiful love songs ever written, you'll accompany me.
Classic song. Definitely reminds me of those awkward early loves.
To see a young black women rocking to the music of my youth just warms my heart. Thanks India
One of the most serious injustices in rock is that this man has been nominated numerous times for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and has been ignored! That institution is a joke!!!
That's no HOF.......it's the Hall of Shame!! Joe Cocker isn't in there either!!
Simply Beautiful ❤Thank you India. You TOTALLY ROCK sis! 🙌🙏
You had me laughing and grinning with joy at your reaction! Thank you!
My favorite song of all time! And for me, autumn has closed in but I still remember summertime
Old time Rock and Roll by him
That’s the OG Bob!!🤠
this brings back memories especially when its your first date.thats when times where good.
India, I just discovered your channel today and my daughter and I have been watching it all night. These songs are so meaningful to be as well. This will be the first comment of many. Bob Seger is amazing. You were so funny calling Bob nasty. I would like to suggest "Come To Pappa" and "Fire Down Below". Love your reactions.
This song made him and the band superstars! Huge hit still played on many stations even today!
Yeah Bob he is GOOOD!! Mainstreet next please!!!
I love Bob saw him a few years ago still sounds great.
Nice pick. That whole album is great - beginning to end. The song, Main Street, still gives me the chills. I loved that song and album when it first came out, and to this day love it the same.
Bob was 👍! Music was very good! Enjoyed his talent for several years! You bring all of it up and it’s all good India!!!!!
What a great great song (RIP) Bob
Grew up listening to Bob! One of my favorite songs of his and one of my favorite reactions so far!!
I like the way you grab those notes out of the air.
You have been introduced to one of the greatest artists in history. Very underrated as far as the mainstream. He is a rock and roll HOF. But to me there are very very few that can come close to Bob Seger. Def one of my top 3 of all time. I'd suggest you check out a lot of his songs mentioned by others. I'd say some, but they've already done that.
I am sitting here at 3 am, discovered your channel, been watching for hours. Love the energy you bring to your reactions, you're so true and honest to your feelings and your eyes speak so many words while you listen to such great music from the past. I am a fan now that's for sure, you're a beautiful young lady with an ear for the classics.
this is what i like to see. i have seen these types of videis before and they look like they are hating the music no smile no moving back and forth just sitting there with aa s=toic look on their face thank you for doing it right.
Love this reaction, Bob Seger is the man
Always reminds me of one summer in my past. We weren't in love, no far from it! Best summer of my life!!
This song brings back so many memories...Was blessed to see Bob play in Denver in 78..
Loved this awesome reaction to a true classic and great , great song
This appreciation of this great song solidifies my belief that we could be friends.
Bob Seger has a pretty good collection of hits, so keep your eyes and ears open young lady...we always enjoy seeing you...peace out !
Been with you since 18k, India! I enjoy your journey 🙋🏻♂️😁
OoooOh you a real 1!!!!!! Thank you I appreciate you !!🖤🖤🖤🖤
Bob was talking about trying to make it through the teen years which is hard on anyone who was ever a teenager and that pretty much means all of us.
Finally Bob Seger I'm so happy
As a sophomore in high school it was a Chevy truck parked in the woods with an air mattress and anatomy lessons in Braille from a senior chick I will honor until the day I die!
