George's voice is up there with Freddie Mercury and no one really gave him credit for that in any big way until he passed. But he sang alongside Freddie and some vocal experts were like 'wait... what?! i had no idea his voice was this epic'. And it was. But those of us who have loved him since childhood, we didn't just love him for his incredible voice, we loved him for things like 'Freedom' and 'FREEEK'. He put it OUT there when no one else was willing to be raw and dirty like that and GAWD LOVE HIM FOR IT!!

I am a distant relative of his. I started listening to his music when I was I think 12 years old. I had no idea that this wonderful man was my distant relative. I light a candle every year for his birthday and when he passed away. I have almost all of his albums except Symphonica which as I am able I will be buying. I got so excited when I realized you were reviewing him! And I absolutely love George Michael! Father Figure is my favorite followed by Everything She Wants by Wham. I remember the day that he passed away which was Christmas 2016. That had been a rough year for me because my boyfriend of eight years died in January and Prince who is my all-time favorite artist had passed away in April. That whole year was Sad and it was just a lot going on. I remember sitting with my cousin and my daughter at the kitchen table when I got the news. I jumped up from the table and I ran outside and practically collapsed on the front steps. My daughter came running out behind me to console me. I cried so bad over hearing that news. I spent the rest of the night just listening to his music which made me cry even harder. The world lost a great light when he left us!
After 'Careless Whisper' the George Michael song I always remember is 'Freedom'. The video featured the most famous super models at that time: Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and a few more.

Pretty much any George Michael song is a good one. Praying for time or Freedom 90 are a couple of good starters. Plus he was in the band Wham and they are fun to explore too :-)
I am a George Michael fan since I was 8 years old. You should definitely start listening to George Michael songs you wont regret it he is the best singer and songwriter ever. Wham was the first record I ever bought
What can I say George Michael was one of the greatest singers of the ‘80’s. When I hear this song it takes me back to those wonderful days in my life. I still play his song today especially this one, Careless Whisper my all time favorite. Rest In Peace George Michael.
Oh Yeah, I love this song! It is a real Classic and arguably George Michael's best song. The song just flows along so effortlessly and smoothly. He sings it beautifully and with so much feeling. No matter how many times I have listened to it over the years, I never get tired of it, and it always puts a smile on my face. Another wonderful song of his is Freedom 90. It came out in 1990 and the music and his singing is just fantastic! You may recognize it when you hear it, the beat of the song is unforgettable...another Classic!
Loved the music of George Michael. "Careless Whisper," though, is my very favorite of all his work. It's such a beautiful song, and yet so sad. Just makes you feel such deep emotion. Great reaction on this. Thanks for playing it.

Your generation really needs to discover George Michael. Frank Sinatra said he was one of the greatest vocalists of the 20th century. To me he was that and more. This man could sing anything, any genre, absolutely anything. He had such control over his voice. His list of Duets are a list of the greatest singers ever. Check out his rendition when he remade his own song, One More Try, at the concert of Hope in 1993 at Wembley. It will blow your mind. He had the best backup singers and band in the business most of whom stayed with him until his death. This was the second song I heard of his. The first being with Wham; Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go. I am George's exact age and I remember thinking how young is the guy?? I like every other girl fell in love with him and had no clue he waa gay nor did we care when we found out. Just like you didn't know this song, I'll bet you know a lot of his other songs and don't realize it like last Christmas and that he was the third voice in the famous Band-aid song. A Sublime artist who did it all musically... no one comes close to his overall talent. Not even Prince as I could never see him singing with Pavarotti Garth Brooks Tony Bennett Whitney Houston Paul McCartney maybe Aretha Franklin....so many there were.
AHHHHHHHH YES!!!! You hit the JACKPOT with this talented artist. You definitely need to do some more reactions of his.....It was sad that he lived such an unhappy life until the end. You got to check "FAITH" and "DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON ME" (a duet with him and Elton John.....A class act!!!
George Michael, was one of the BEST! GREATLY MISSED!!! He does a duet with Elton John (Elton John's song) Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me & NAILS IT!!! This is the BEST version of it, when he was older, "George Michael, Elton John - Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (Live) " I could go on & on, but the list would be to long. THE MAN CAN SING!
If you want to see an evolution of a person and his evolution as a song writer, listen to George's music catalog chronologically. Timeless music transcends time and Yog's music is a testament to that. Every single song means something different at every age and stage of your life. When he went away from his persona on the "Faith" album to the behind the scenes, socially conscious songwriting of "Praying for Time," I was about 13. I was upset he left his poppy music for more mature matters, but as I grew into an adult, those songs have become my favorite ones. "Praying for Time" is relevant at any point in history, but no more so than right now. I'm a black man that appreciated George Michael from the very first time I saw him. His effervescent personality and beautiful voice made him stand out next to anyone. I was 7 when I saw "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" debut on MTV. I loved listening to this guy sing, but even at 7, I knew something was different about him. There was a point in the video where he hugged himself and I realized he was different from other men I admired. 25 years later, a biography revealed that although he didn't know if he was gay, you could pretty much tell something at that very moment in the video. I loved women coming out the womb, but George's sexuality never stopped me from loving him or his music. I was so thankful he did a 25Live tour in 07, because I was too young to see him during his first solo US tour, but I got to go to one of his shows in Atlanta. He sings as beautifully live as on a studio album, and that type of talent is lost on this generation. He was an incredibly talented, but troubled soul. Thanks for bringing this song to the attention of people that wouldn't have otherwise listened to it. Funny thing is, G. Michael didn't even like this song.
And George, like Prince, had a long run-in with his record label who wanted him to stick with both songs and image that appealed to the teenage girl market.
All of these songs people are going to mention and request are FANTASTIC. But there are a lot of hidden GEMS THAT REALLY NEED TO BE HEARD. ONE IN PARTICULAR IS THEY WON'T GO WHEN I GO. A TRUE MASTERPIECE
George Michael has been the best artist I've ever seen live, I'm so thankful I got to see him perform. Thanks jayvee I'm now off on a George Michael marathon.

Anybody can be enchanted by great quality music, lyrics and vocals. 😁😁
FAST LOVE YOU WILL LOVE 🇬🇧❤🇬🇧
All of these songs people are going to mention and request are FANTASTIC. But there are a lot of hidden GEMS THAT REALLY NEED TO BE HEARD. ONE IN PARTICULAR IS THEY WON'T GO WHEN I GO. A TRUE MASTERPIECE
Angelic voice
The ‘Older’ cd to me is phenomenal! Jesus to a child, Move On, Fast Love, Spinning the Wheel. Every track is pure perfection.
Greatest songwriter singer producer and played almost all of the instruments. There will never be another George Michael...
Jesus to a Child - sublime
And Freedom 90
George Michael has been the best artist I've ever seen live, I'm so thankful I got to see him perform. Thanks jayvee I'm now off on a George Michael marathon.
Me too. His life performances were unmatched. All he needed was your gorgeous self and his beautiful silky velvet pitch perfect vocals!
