I would love to see you do a reaction video to George Michael's ruclips.net/video/Yf_Lwe6p-Cg/видео.html "Everything She Wants" which was a huge smash and is perhaps one of George Micheals most enduring songs after Careless whispers. It is a very bold song that would generate quite a reaction.
George Michael is a talent beyond talents. You need to discover his music. He started writing at the tender age of 16 and 17 and by the time he passed away in 2016 he sold 155 million records. He has written, sung, arranged, and produced all of his music. He is famous worldwide, and most, especially his home country of the UK. As Elton once said, he considers George one of the best songwriters to come out of the UK. Ri ght up there with McCartney and Lennon. He’s won countless awards and duetted with the best in the business, like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Mary J Whitney Houston, and the list goes on and on. Absolutely you do not know what you are missing if you don’t not take a deep dive into his catalog.
George Michael is a one of the great voices of our generation. Father Figure and Freedom 90 are great ones to check out as well, but you should really check out when he performed at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He performed with Queen on a cover of their song "Somebody to Love", which is the best cover I've heard to date of that song.
You have to see him live singing Elton John's, Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me!! Elton comes on stage halfway through and the crowd goes wild. Goosebumps forthcoming.
Young men and women were more mature younger back then .. these days you have 30 year old idiots making TikTok’s… where the real people go!? Bring back the 80s and 90s. 80s baby and 90s child btw
Love George Michael, he slayed the Queen song “Somebody to Love” for the concert to raise $$ for AIDS awareness! I still own this Vinyl from 8th grade Christmas LOL
He also won his first Igor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year, the youngest winner at that time, for this song. He went on to win 6 total, with 2 of those being Songwriter of the Year for a total of 3. He holds that record to this day.
He wrote this at 17, its one of the demo tracks that got Wham signed, but it was held back till he could record it the way he wanted and it didn't fit with the other Wham Material, Initially went to US to record with Jerry Wexler, but both George and the record company were not happy with it. George ended up co-producing it in the UK, it Sax player number 9 that finally got the sax part the way he wanted it. It was released both as Solo and Wham featuring George Michael depending on the country of release.
Despite the video, it's not a George Michael solo, it's actually a Wham song, it appears in "Make it big", and was written by Michael and Andrew Ridgeley.
Check out him singing at Freddie Mercury tribute. He sang Find me soneone to love. The look on Brians face when he hits that last note and gets the audience to participate was outstanding
Love George Michael, he slayed the Queen song “Somebody to Love” for the concert to raise $$ for AIDS awareness! I still own this Vinyl from 8th grade Christmas. This song was played at all our dances in the 80’s
George Michael, wrote and produced all of his music. He crossed a number of genres. Freedom 90, kissing a fool, cowboys and angels, fastlove, spinning the wheel,Jesus to a child etc. plenty of others too.
George was absolutely perfect, look at his live performances, he was so much better live. Very moving: “Jesus to a Child (1994 Berlin MTV Awards)” and “A Different Corner (Live On BBC Parkinson Show)” it makes you cry. Other highlights: “Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me (Live Aid 1985)” “LIVE Show 1993 at The Concert of Hope” and “Unplugged Concert” He was a perfectionist and had great background singers and fantastic musicians with whom he worked for years. R.I.P. George we miss you 😢
George Michael found fame with his pop group/duo Wham!. His partner was Andrew Ridgely and that music definitely was more “poppy”. When he went solo his music became less so but he had many hits before his untimely death. “Faith” and “Different Corner” are just two to look into. His Wham! music is worth a listen too. Definitely more “poppy” (your word!!) but the group was phenomenally successful. There is even a Wham! documentary on Netflix that is worth a watch. Music and the management of it in the 80s was a rollercoaster!!!
Oh my gosh, the 80’s were EVERYTHING! And such eye candy here💜! I was a very young adult then damn it was fun! And what a great tune this is! Oh dear, u need to dig into his catalog of music! ✌🏻😎
Filmed in my hometown of Miami. George Michael is a legend. He belongs on the same level of all the greatest singer/songwriters. He started as a Pop Star and ended as a Legend. Great reaction! Subscribed!
🌸 before he went on his own he was in a band in the 80s 90s called Wham.... it was fun music there's a whole bunch of different things you could choose from that particular time in his life
As someone has said already, A Different Corner from the Parkinson show, also from NetAid Brother Can you Spare Me A Dime, and from the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert Somebody to Love (or even the rehearsal from that, when you have David Bowie and Seal applauding, you know it's a good one). All of his solo stuff is good, and even the Wham hits too. Incidentally Careless Whisper returned to the number 1 spot earlier this month on the physical sales chart and also the vinyl charts, 40 years after reaching number one on its first release
@@hopeklemann1 also it was found out how generous he was. He gave millions to the homeless shelters and hospitals. He was a man of class and one of the greatest singers ever.
You probably thought quirky pop music because his first big number one hit, as part of duo "Wham" with Andrew Ridgeley, was "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" - a very fun dance song from 1984 (with a very 1980's video to go with it.) Catchy as all get out!
Let's Gooo! Faith from him is great. Elton John and him do a live performance of Don't let the sun go down is crazy. Great reaction and Peace out Steven ✌️☮️🙏
Andrew Ridgely (the “other guy” in Wham!) was given a writing credit - he and George were best friends when he wrote this, and Andrew was instrumental in realizing its success. Another perfect pop song. One of Britain’s greatest-ever singer-songwriters, IMO. And that voice…
This is my list, not a full list, not even all my faves. It's hard to narrow down. I've spent 42 years of my life completely surrounded by his music. He deserves many more accolades than he was given in life or after. George Michael: IMHO The best. A Different Corner(my personal fave song, ever, by any artist) Jesus To A Child (written about his partner that died from AIDS related complications, his entire album, Older, is dedicated to him) One More Try Fast Love (If possible watch video, it's amazing) Freedom 90 (Video is STUNNING! Somebody To Love (from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He KILLED it. ) Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day Older Heal The Pain I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) his duet with Aretha Franklin. LoL Wham!: Club Tropicana Young Guns (Go For It) Everything She Wants Wham Rap! George Michael was so talented and had such a beautiful voice. I love so many of his songs and would have loved to see him in concert. "Freedom" and "One More Try", and so many more awesome tunes... R.I.P George 💔
RIP A very soulful talented singer and songwriter who so many just recognize for being in the pop genre to me he is more natural soul than a lot of singers
He was one of the best of all time... singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer of all his songs. Freedom '90, Kissing a Fool, Soul Free, Waiting For That Day, Cowboys and Angels, Fastlove... those are some starters. Welcome to the music world of magnificence. ❤ Oh, also, Brither Can You Spare A Dime and Somebody To Love with Queen... both live performances, both top notch!!
People always listen to careless whisper and his early wham stuff but I personally I feel we can agree his best music is every new album thereafter. A different corner is one of his most beautiful song from his early days.. He played every instrument on that song himself. Give it a listen. Both the album and live versions on bbc is gorgeous. Give his later music a listen .
Michael had many great hits, but the one song of his which I respect the most, and which I get the biggest surge of positive energy from, is a duet he sang with no less than the great Aretha Franklin called I Knew You Were Waiting. He didn't write it, but he and Aretha gave it a definitive performance.

You have got to do George Michael's "FATHER FIGURE". Perhaps his second most popular song after careless whispers.
Next must. . . “One more try” and “Jesus to a Child”❤GM

Yes all of these ❤

💯💯🔥
Yep👍 it's a Killa version 🤘🤘
Yes it's truly amazing how talented they both were in that performance
He wrote this at 17
This always amazes me. How many young songwriters have written such beautiful and deep songs.
Young men and women were more mature younger back then .. these days you have 30 year old idiots making TikTok’s… where the real people go!? Bring back the 80s and 90s. 80s baby and 90s child btw
One More Try is a beautiful song.
Love George Michael, he slayed the Queen song “Somebody to Love” for the concert to raise $$ for AIDS awareness! I still own this Vinyl from 8th grade Christmas LOL
George Michael is one of the best singers ever produced in the UK, you should see his live gigs.....what a voice. Sadly he is no longer with us.
He also won his first Igor Novello Award for Songwriter Of The Year, the youngest winner at that time, for this song. He went on to win 6 total, with 2 of those being Songwriter of the Year for a total of 3. He holds that record to this day.
Everything She Wants when he was in Wham. Total jam.❤
Died too soon. R.I.P.

Almost time for "Last Christmas" 😂
I can't wait🎵💃🤗
I really like the song, but I feel conflicted listening to it.
I never tire of this classic song.
😂😂😂❤
You’ve got to hear A Different Corner. His voice is just amazing.
Check out him singing at Freddie Mercury tribute. He sang Find me soneone to love. The look on Brians face when he hits that last note and gets the audience to participate was outstanding
Spectacular sing!! He's amazing!! I love him singing "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" with Elton John! Such an amazing duet!!🫶🫶🫶🎵🎼🎶🎸🎤🎧🥁🎹🤘🤘🤘
This song is a classic.George Micheal had a voice that was on another level.
Love George Michael, he slayed the Queen song “Somebody to Love” for the concert to raise $$ for AIDS awareness! I still own this Vinyl from 8th grade Christmas. This song was played at all our dances in the 80’s
Yep written when he was 17
A Different Corner. Words, emotions , his singing .I hope its your next one from George.
George Michael is one of the best vocalists of the last 40 years. Wrote & produced the majority of his back catalogue too.
Welcome to the wonderful world of George Michael 💜
He is one of the best male vocalists ever... found on Christmas morning, he had passed away 2016, 53 years old.
Oh wow! 😞
What is also sad that one of his sisters also died on Christmas Day a few years later
@@setonhillstudioshe also sadly but ironically wrote one of the biggest Christmas songs ever which is called “Last Christmas”
ive always liked "everything she wants" .... (make sure you get the longer version) (it has an extra verse)
Yes!!
He wrote this as a teenager, one of the best voices ever
He was just a teenager when he wrote this, I think 16 or 17. He was killer.
George Michael, wrote and produced all of his music. He crossed a number of genres. Freedom 90, kissing a fool, cowboys and angels, fastlove, spinning the wheel,Jesus to a child etc. plenty of others too.
Kissing a Fool is an incredible piece of music and vocal mastery. GM is such a musician!
Jesus to a child always moves me to tears and i know he wrote it for his partner Anselmo.Just beautiful.
George was absolutely perfect, look at his live performances, he was so much better live. Very moving: “Jesus to a Child (1994 Berlin MTV Awards)” and “A Different Corner (Live On BBC Parkinson Show)” it makes you cry.

Such a great voice. Gotta hear his duet with Elton John Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me. Fire.
YOU MUST CHECK OUT HIS DUETS WITH ELTON JOHN, MARY J. BLIGE, ARETHA FRANKLIN AND THE LATE GREAT WHITNEY HOUSTON, ALL ARE 🔥🔥🔥
Another WONDERFUL SONG is George Michael, & Aretha Franklin - "I Knew You Were Waiting (for Me)" ...It is a keeper for your list!
Yes, definitely react to this one!
Love this one!
You should watch him sing 'Somebody to Love' at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He is the only person who sings it nearly as good as Freddie.
Yes!!
HE WAS A GREAT SONGWRITER AS WELL!
One of the Greatest voices ever⭐️🔥⭐️Losing him way too soon was tough for me .
Dude has some great songs! Good review my man!
Still waiting for UFO’s ‘Rock Bottom’ studio version. Will blow your mind 🔥
Right on Stephen!
“One more try” is amazing
that song kept me alive in some extremely dark times. im forever indebted to George for that.

His duo Wham is probably what made you think he was more of a pop artist.
Listen to George Michael With Queen in the commemorative show for Freddy Mercury.

He started with the band Wham before going solo and coming out. He turned to Sir Elton John for help dealing with it and keeping his following.
I'm sure you know George was one half of the duo Wham! before he went solo. His cover of Don't Let The Sun Go Down with Elton John is awesome as well.
The Long and Winding Road .. George sang at a benefit concert… is AMAZING! The best version I’ve heard
🌸 he is the most beautiful man I have ever seen and his voice is amazing

Lots of pop music early in his career, but as he grew into his own, his music became more and more refined.

This is an iconic masterpiece, and imho, his absolute best song. It's timeless ❤
