  • The Mercedes-Benz has been a strong seller from 2010 until 2015! Now today its's know under the name GLC. Back in 2011, It was Mercedes-Benz' smallest and least expensive SUV that dove into the compact crossover luxury market last year and became an immediately desirable vehicle in the segment. The added option could make this one expensive! But give it a few kilometers and add a few years and down goes the price! It was powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with an output of 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission with Comfort, Sport, and Manual settings is standard. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive (known as 4Matic) is available and with it, it becomes an off-road warrior! Even if a few percentages of the buyers will bring it into the wild! It might not be a class-leading cabin space or fuel mileage king, but it sure is a robust and capable SUV!
    Enjoy the 2010-2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 4Matic used review!

    This by far has been the best Mercedes I have ever owned! I have a 2016 G-wagon and a 2015 GLS but I so love my 2010 GLK350 4matic. I could never part with it. Not one mechanical issue with it.... at all. The dealership broke a few things on it when I took it in for the airbags replacement (factor recall) thus they will never ever see any of my cars again! I done all my maintenance myself and I'm at 258,900 miles on my glk (that was a lemon buy back in CA!). That 4matic system is prefect.... Oh and in all honestly the ESI (common issue on Mercedes of the gen) was garbage so I have replaced it with a bypass.

      WOW 258,900 Miles ? I was getting scared to buy a used 2010 model at 161,556 miles but I guess if it is well maintained it can be flawless even with these amounts of miles.

    I love technology. 25lbs of ABS and computer modules successfully doing a job that required 500+ lbs of transfer cases and locking diffs just a few years ago. The only thing it’s missing is a bit more ground clearance.

    • @nirfz
      @nirfz 3 года назад +1

      Differerence being that the difflocks will do it without wearing the brakes or heating them up. (not a flaw of the GLK, i drive on myself, and with good tires it is astonishing what it takes to even brake traction and need any of that stuff in snow and ice.)

    Wow, amazing performance. Would be interesting (if I'm not wrong) to do this test also in reverse? As I believe many manufacturers make a weak rear diff and probably some cars that have done this test with small struggle going up, probably will fail going up in reverse?

  • @thevlogsofdab8630
    @thevlogsofdab8630 6 лет назад

    I think this is expected for 4matic as their power split between front and back is 45% and 55% so at any given time both axels will have power to move the car.

  • @TrueNomadSkies
    @TrueNomadSkies 3 года назад

    I feel this is also a display of driver skill as much as "proof" that the awd system has the ability to put power to any wheels, thus arguably out performing a 4X4 system with open diffs.

    Mercedes tune their system so its stops wheel slip quickly to put power to the other wheels. I don't understand why Subaru doesn't do this instead of letting the wheel spin a lot before finally applying brakes to the spinning wheel.

      Rabeah Karram money pits to be honest. My mother has one and it needed new alternator +1k, now it’s in the shop for rusted belt tensioner pulleys. She lost her power steering and had to muscle it into the shop. Of course she didn’t listen to me and did not get extended warranty.

I barely got half-way into the pedal, and none of that paddle-shift shit. The Auto is way smarter than me. It's so fast, it's stupid.
