I started watching WILTY because I love David Mitchell, he's my favourite British comedian, but I've been consistently gobsmacked by Lee Mack's humour every single episode and it's my favourite panel show of all time. Very well deserved!
Watching Lee and David, two seemingly very different people, play off each other, is very entertaining. They play strength to strength. It works brilliantly.

That's fantastic that he won a Bafta, he definitely deserved to win. To be honest, every one of them does! They are what makes the show work. Rob, Lee and David are the glue that holds the show together year after year and it still makes you laugh no matter how many times you've watched the episodes. (I binge watch would I lie to you over and over again and it's still funny!)
I reckon, from the look on his face, that the brilliantly clever Lee worked out his entire wonderful speech in the time between the announcement and his arrival on the stage.
I truly hope that Lee, Rob, and David really are as close in real life as they make it seem to the audience. Part of what makes this show so amazing is thinking that they truly are wonderful friends and can take the jokes that each one dishes out to each other without taking offense. I honestly believe my heart would be broken if i were to find out they're not truly good friends.

How "A league of their own" keeps winning BAFTAs ahead of WILTY, I will never know. I mean it's got more celebrities and some stunts for sure, but in terms of quality Would I lie to you is in a league of it's own.

I started watching WILTY because of David but soon felt very impressed by Lee's quick wit. Well deserved, but in the end it really takes the both of them to make the show work! Their different styles feed off each other so perfectly.

Lee Mack is a stand up chap. Giving equal credit to his mates and colleagues is a great gesture that we don't see much of anymore.
