Agreed. Brilliant combo, would ofc prefer them to do less television friendly skits but together they're good. Chris is totally understated I feel, would love to see... Listen to him live.

They've been doing English panel shows for years mate. They're a staple of English culture at this point.
There is no one on earth with better timing than Lee.
That's because his brain works on average five times as fast as ours do. He actually has to slow it down so we can understand him, which makes the timing easy.

Comic timing you mean. There are plenty of jazz drummers can do the timing bit. Actually, Mel Brooks states that his time as a jazz drummer helped him greatly in his comic timing.
Or a faster comedy brain.

I laughed a lot. The best part for me is that it is an old, old trope, yet they make it work so well because they are both such excellent performers. A bit like Blackadder used to be.

Chris' deadpan style of delivery cracks me up every time & the chemistry between them is brilliant. hats off to Lee - playing the straight man is much more difficult that it looks, but he does it superbly. Very reminiscent of Morecombe & Wise at their best.

The best thing is that off-stage, Chris is a solid guy too. I worked front of house on one of his tour preview shows this spring - alongside 30 others - and he was determined to thank and say goodbye to us volunteers before he left. Other stars couldn't care less or are only there for the totty, but he's a true, humble gent and I'd never believe a single bad word said against him. Just class.
I saw Chris a couple of weeks ago on his tour. Such a great comedian and storyteller.

Saw him in Belfast recently. He took the time at the end to come out and chat to anyone who wanted to say hello and pose for photos. Nice bloke.

Chris is that rare comedian who makes me laugh out loud every time he shows up
Try being blind and listening to his comedy, it's even funnier to me because I can relate to pretty much all of it
Comedy talent at it's best, humour, sarcasm and perfect timing.
Even though his world is dark, he brings light into ours. I think he's great on 8 out of 10 :)

So many people reading out the nominations and presenting the awards at shows like this try and be funny and aren't. In fact most are embarrassing. However, this is extremely original and really funny. Well done Lee and Chris.
That rare commodity nowadays is humour delivered by two masters 👏
And it was very commen when? I'd posit the idea that it's much more common now with the expansion of people with access to global media, I'm sure you can can give me facts that I'm wrong.
