I can't stand the standup of James Acaster, but he's fucking hysterical in TV appearances. Same with Noel Fielding (Which even Lee said during this episode) is way funnier off stage. I wonder why that is? Is it something to do with over-preparing for a standup show, and then feeling at ease when doing improv on a panel show?
He must view conversation like a master chess player. Thinking of dozens of things to say and to provoke the responses he wants to slam home a killer joke.
