This is how it is supposed to be done. My first driving instructor did none of this instead he chose to tell me about the instrumentals and tried to sell me driving packages as I drove along. Needless to say that was my first and last lesson with him. This vid showed me the quality of instruction I should expect from those expensive lessons.
@@GetDriving Nah, Francis, believe me, I've had 2 bad 'uns. I now know this because I now have a really good one who is with me every step of the way, with positive and informative correction, feedback or praise. The previous one was an endless stream of exclusively negative telling off, with little information about what I was doing wrong or right: "Slow down. Speed up. What the hell are you doing? I've told you a thousand times, blah blah. Seriously mate, you need to sort this out. I'm telling you, you're going to fail." Really, I exaggerate not! (Btw, that 'thousand times' was about a manoeuvre he was showing me for the second time.)
Hi Francis, the tips from your videos helped me a lot with my driving. It helped me especially with observations and safety with the 6 points check and POM. I passed. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I am a Londoner currently in Australia learning how to drive as an absolute beginner in my 30s and these are so helpful to watch between my lessons to revise :)
Thanks bro that 30 minutes flew by learned a lot some of my driving habits I realized came from my driving lessons from way back will be using your content to update my skills it gives you confidence to be up to date thanks again
Thank you for this! I’ve had 3 2hr lessons and I’ve come back to this video a few times before each lesson and it really help out what I’m doing in to context. Just getting a hang on the turning and positioning and not gripping the wheel so hard haha
Raining 🌧 4 secs Gap... A thousand & 1... A thousand & 2... A thousand & 3... A thousand & 4... with car infront start counting with something that’s stationary permanent as the front car reaches while cars are moving and stop counting when you reach to the same point... Thank you Francis ur methods videos are very useful. Would love to have a 1-2-1 session with you 👍🏼
Answer to your question: 75 feet? 😅 I think that you're excellent and I've been awaiting to take my driving theory and lesson's for over 10 + year's.. I've been on my Scooter for 9 year's and feel ready to drive a car. My highest score on the driving app is 90% Theory 47/50 & HP 3/5 😭👀 Can you advise me please and Thank you?
Thank you for this video. You said in Icy condition distance should be 10 second but right answer is 10 times than normal distance and dry condition distance should be 2 second. If i am wrong please explain me
Hi the highway code says Driving in snow or on ice can make your stopping distances 10 times longer.not 10 seconds at 20mph=40ft x 10 30mph=75ft x 10 and so on good luck with the channel
A good video on the whole, I am an ADI also, just want to mention one thing...If you go down a one way street, you wouldn't do a turn in the road as it's a one way street.
In dry weather 2 second time gap in the rain it’s doubled and in icy conditions it’s 10 times, I’m start my lessons on the 1st July I’m nervous for them in really dreading roundabouts 😂🙈🙈
Have been curious to ask, what if i have a tinted vehicle and unable to use my rare view mirror bcos of the tint as i cant see my back, what will i be using as rare view mirror instead?
Hey Ava thanks for the suggestion! What is it you're having trouble with exactly and I'll get cracking on a video to help as I know lots of other people find steering tricky at the beginning
I have had 40 hours of driving lessons but i still for some reason struggle with anticipation and planning, aswell as hazard perception . And I’m starting to lose motivation 😢
This guy is so good, explains everything perfectly! Makes me feel like I've selected the wrong instructor now!
Haha, all instructors have different methods! It's all just about finding one that you understand👍
Same here 😄😄😄
