In this video, we’ll show you how we spend Christmas eve and Christmas day going to a christingle service at St Mary’s church and watching a Christmas pantomime at Bridlington Spa. We’ll also share some of our Christmas traditions, challenges, and surprises along the way. 🎁

With Christmas being over and having to return to work this vlog was exactly what was needed to cheer us up, it was fantastic.
The food looked great, so many presents for the girls and the dancing was on another level.

I wasn’t familiar with Christingle, so that was an interesting thing to learn about. On the other hand, even as an American, I certainly know about Punch and Judy. And I’ve heard a lot about Christmas pantomimes, though I’ve never actually seen one, of course. Having kids opening presents always feels more like Christmas, something I remember, from earlier parts of my life, both as being a kid and being an uncle. And your Christmas dinner looked really delicious.

Try maple syrup on the parsnips they are delish 👌 also try sage & onion stuffing with vhopped onion & the onion juice off the boiled onions mix with the sage & onion mix, & mix in half of sausage meat cook in oven for 30 mins ckvered then 10 mins uncover thats delish too 😘👌👌👌

Its so funny when everyone staving so eat the starters then wait 45mims for mains (thats what we did) your dinner looked amazing well cooked Nick .. loved the look on monkeys face when she knew it was a all singing/dancing TV ...brings shame on my 18" portable 📺 that i was allowed when i turned 18 😂😂😂 and Janine looks younger everytime she's on vlogs 😮 here's to a happy and healthy year to everyone ( hoping to join up at somepoint)Everydays best ❤xx

I like Nick went to Church of England primary and middle schools so went to church for Christingle and carol services which I always enjoyed. The whetherspoons you went to looked much better than their counterparts in Portsmouth. So glad you both had a great Christmas with your family and the girls loved the pantomime and Top Trumps 😀

So as an American viewer I’ve had to Google Christmastingle and pantomime. I’m only 10 minutes in. I agree with Stacey I don’t remember seeing the moon out before 6pm and I’ve seen the sun out late in some vlogs so I guess we live and learn so nice to see different foods, cultures and ceremonies. Christingle services was the best part of a Cof E school when i was a kid.
Missed the feature of eric in some of your Christmas vlogs this year! The little sketches you did in previous years were always a vlogmas highlight, maybe one for next year 😉
Wonderful. Has all the aspects of Christmas that we has kids full of fun and laughter - and we are 60 now. What and who is the Santa song used for comments of the day?

So much fun going on there for Christmas ❤
We use our slow cooker alot, we cooked beef and gammon in ours. The gammon we always submerge in either cider or a 2litre Cola let it cook overnight on auto or low we find high is too much , never drain anything out it won't overflow.
Loved what u did with the oranges and the marmalade we have never managed to get crackling on the gammon but does pull apart really good
Love doing things in the slow cooker. They always turn out so good
@TheLodgeGuys it's really good for so much , minimal work and tastes amazing. We have bought inners that are plastic bags that open up and u just throw them away after the cooking minimal cleaning of the pot.
we had both grand kids round to stay over christmas day they are 4 and 6 absolute nightmare never again lol me and the wife are pissing off on a cruise next christmas lol

Where’s Charlotte and her partner & Sassel….. we haven’t seen them or heard of them on the vlog for ages?
Charlotte and Nicky (not her partner) live quite a way from us so we dont see them often. We speak to them often though on whatsapp. Same with sazzle, we keep in touch on whatsapp but dont see her often as we dont live near her.
Just as well noone was around, & didnt see the camera lying on the car seat & smashed the window to get it, 🙈🙈🙈 whats Leigh like 🙄
