Summer is here soon. This purple looking drink is so easy to make and looks delicious. It will be a great addition to the BBQ party especially for the kids. Let's try it this summer. Thanks Miss Brewbird.
I was introduced to chica by my Equadorian and Peruvian friends. Now I grab one almost every time I'm in the bodega on my corner. Your recipe seems like I could make a better version myself. Thank you! ❤
Thanks for sharing, and inviting us into your family life! Reminded me of Korean corn tea, but completely different of course. I need to look through your videos (haven't since you were in UK making a rum) - hope to find your thoughts on distilling different varieties of corn/flavor profiles.
Interesting stuff there, Brewbird! I have always appreciated your cooking content. My one little criticism was we didn’t get to see you explaining what you were doing, this one is perfect It has been fun seeing your growth as a RUclipsr. It is great to see how close you are getting to the magical “10,000” you and Jesse discussed way back when he introduced you to us. Thank you for all the work you put into your craft, your effort shines!
Ay Miss Brewbird, not the lemons! It needs to be limes! Lemons aren't found in Peru, although the limes do have a more sweeter taste. Small confusion since lime in spanish is Limon. Also, the corn still packs more flavour. My wife from Olmos, Peru, will do another soak in the kettle, a batch sparge if you will. Then blend the two batches together. I've also done the sacrilegious thing of having it warm in the winter time to be like a mulled cider!

I had this today at a food festival and it tastes just like my Jamaican sorrel. It was so good

Great job. I've been meaning to make a similar beer version
Thank you.

I'm just drinking homemade gin and tonic right now on the patio here in Ottawa nice and sunny can't wait to watch your video. ❤❤🎉
Oh nice! Sounds like you are having a great day.😀
Can you do a vodka/gin version - sounds great !!!! Thank you.
Yeah great idea. I would make a concentrated version of the chicha Mirada and then mix some vodka in it. That would be wonderful.

better done in a pressure cooker. More extract and no loss or very little from evaporation.
