Reshaping Claws to Improve a Ring Mount

  • Yes this mount again.
    As I proceed with it, the next challenge it has thrown at me is to make the claws look symmetrically positioned on both the top and lower bezels. Its proving difficult as the top bezel is a slightly dodgy shape. Fun!

    trying to heat the structural support stick and pull it out...lets be honest we all knew it wouldnt work well lol. but its good to show the diff ways to do it, i think the reason it worked so well the second time is because you heated the stick by itself instead of heating the setting much at all. the framework is beautiful and i cant wait to see how the stone will be set without bending the frame or chipping the stone, gonna have to cut the seat fairly deep or tall to get them to bend properly.
