So I know this technique they use to make mokume gane where they melt some solder on the surface of the sheets, mill them out and stack them on top of each other so when you apply heat the solder floods and fuses the sheets together. Haven't made this collet before but I think it could be a useful technique when soldering the bottom circle...

So far you're the only Jeweler I've seen on RUclips that doesn't make foolish moves and try to pass them off as intentional.

Hi. What do you call that object you are holding the stone with?
It's called Blu tack. I use the red cheese wax from a Babybel cheese, Beewswax works just the same.
