As you said, that screen they supply looks clunky and appears to be way off the mark with it's readings. Even though I believe the Victron numbers going in, you could perhaps stick your clamp meter on the charging cable just to show the difference between what their whacky meter says and the reality. Just to double check. That would fit easily behind the rear seat in many utes / 4WDs. By the look of it anyway. As you also said, it might be nice if they utilised space a bit better and made it a bit shorter. That would leave a bit more room behind the seat for cabling, or whatever. I wonder what similar alternatives there are on the market? Also, can you tell what brand BMS and cells it's using?
I actually grabbed my clamp meter to test but the batteries were flat 😂. I’d need to pull it down further to confirm BMS and cells. Might do that if I get time.
I picked up one of their solar panels to review. Haven't done it yet but from an output perspective it looked to be online with this product, as I'm average. Those loose terminals though. I would have bet the house on them heating up for sure. I really don't know how they didn't.. Also try checking temps with a contact thermometer target than those ir type ones. I find when trying to measure reflective surfaces you won't get a good read off them. The product concept is solid but the execution leaves a bit to be desired.
