how do you find the sound quality comparing to other brands. i am confused to buy this or the ddx918. How is the sound quality from the radio as well please??

It plugs into the back of the head unit, then, when the installer programs the Maestro, wiring instructions for the install vehicle will be downloaded from their website with full schematics for wringing into the car or truck.
Thanks for the video. I was really excited when I saw they released this especially with the kinds of customizable options for fitment. But for the price here in Australia anyway ($1200) I would have thought alpine would have gone with a proper HD screen. Some videos i've seen the unit looks very laggy when selecting apps. But here when you used Siri it looked quick. Might have to try and find one in store somewhere and spend some time with it before I decide to drop over a grand on this head unit.
Long Radio does it have its own GPS module or does it only have GPS available via your phone? Also are there two USB ports so you could have a USB flash stick with music on one and then the other USB port used for your mobile device?
Too bad it wont work with new subaru’s. I installed it in a 18 forester and the gauges dont work, and the sound that comes out from the speakers its pretty crappy.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both use the phone for Navigation. Yes you can use the two USB ports as you described. Thanks
