    I had a neighbor who dogs barked intermittently all night long, every night for 8 yrs. The acoustics made it sound like they were barking on my porch. Everytime they barked i got woken up. They barked several times an hr. The neighbor finally moved, but my body is stuck in the conditioned pattern of waking up several times an hr, even though the dogs have been gone for 6 yrs. I've given up on the idea of ever sleeping soundly through the night. I'm always exhausted . Ill give this a try and see what happens.

    My nervous system feels so much more regulated....It could've been the exercise, but I'm pretty sure it was your fancy outfit. Thank you.

    Ooh, very elegant! Yes, most people with pain begin with sleep issues, or pain wakes them up. Benzos worsen sleep problems. I fall asleep beautifully, then no matter how relaxed, wake up 5 - 12 times a night. Meditation and Chi Gong help me not mind, and I get up when awake for more than 20 minutes and do the 4-7-8 breath. Works a charm! But maybe this can relax my brain even better so I stay asleep better, so I'm looking forward to this. This is a beautiful somatic tracking -- one of your best! Thanks, Tanner.

    Hi Tanner, have you explored putting your audio on spotify and Insight timer? It would be really good and easier to acesss on our phones at night at bedtimes etc or when travelling on bus or train

      @@painpsychotherapy you could put up two versions of it's okay for you. One full audio and the other one with just the meditation

    • @asiaa3024
      @asiaa3024 Месяц назад

      Or simply with each audio track give in the text description where the meditation starts. Spotify would be great. Insight timer if it makes sense for it but it's totally worth while.

    Hi Tanner - your videos are wonderful, thank you for sharing them. I had a request relating to this one though. I've been using it regularly before I try and sleep each night (a challenge for decades), and it is definitely helping me relate to the sensations differently. I even feel myself drifting off during it sometimes - but then I invariably get jolted awake again when the music kicks in at the end. Would you consider uploading a version without the music, pretty please? :D Thank you again

    When should you be doing this exercise? Should it be right before bed when you go to sleep or in bed when you wake up and can’t get back to sleep, or just once a day at a random time of the day?

    Yes, I am a controlfreak and yes I can imagine that this has to do with the cronic pain symptoms, the sleeping problems (and maybe even the allergies) I experience since a few years back.
    Due to a head injury 20 years ago notes and lists are a necessity in order to manage daily life without getting frustrated several times a day. I am already doing some of your exercises (my pain got the name Pittiplatsch 😉)
    But what can I do about the topic 'control'?
    Thank you

    Thanks for another great video Tanner. I have been doing more somatic practice, mostly just feeling in my body and this seems to help a lot with my Long-Covid symptoms. I started this after listening to one of your 'Somatic Basics' podcast that you did with Anne a while ago.

    What about Somatic Tracking for anger? I am not angry about pain. I can't get rid of intense anger. It has reduced with Peter Levine's work from rage. But it has become worse since i've been able to finally start tracking fear.

    Hi there, can you treat an auto immune disorder

    • @painpsychotherapy
      @painpsychotherapy  8 месяцев назад

      Autoimmune disorders are not neuroplastic, but it is possible for a portion of the symptoms to be neuroplastic and then a mind-body approach can be helpful.

    How can I do this for the symptom of fatigue?
    I have CFS
    For example, when I'm walking and feel tired, what should I do?
    Should I reassure myself that everything is ok, focus on my breathing and feel the symptoms?
