Hi Tanner. Really liked this one. We all could use another one just like this with all the same affirmations. Do you think you could make a 30 minute one? That would be great.
@@painpsychotherapythis really is the best. The detail in how to track, the aquarium reference and the imagination of a better life all are great. Best somatic training I feel.
So soothing. Im a mess. My eyes and brain hurt, cant read or focus on much. Im so happy I found you. I learnt so much. Coregulation was new to me, hard to need others but thinking about my fathers hugs, what he would done or said, warm hugs n laughter, smile was on my face, felt like dancing (dad used to be a ball room damer and taught me. See Tanner, how i made a happy thought even trhpugh poor eyes n brainfog. Excellente practice! 🙏
Hi Tanner, thank you for all your videos! They are so helpful. I was feeling disregulated today as symptoms were flaring up but I felt SO much better after doing this. My brain tension was gone and I felt much more present and happy. Thank again!
I'm so grateful for all your wonderful videos especially the somatic tracking guided exercises. Thank you so much for providing so much excellent free content. 🙏🏼
Thank you so much Tanner. I often wake up with pressury pain in my head, neck & shoulders. I can clearly see it's because of the constant pressure I put on myself & the intensity with which I approach my work. Can you please make a video on how to deal with this pressure & intensity we put on ourselves & how we can reduce it.
This one is very helpfull. And it calms me down. Thank you so much. I will do this over and over again. 🍀🙏 You are really helping people a lot..thank you for doing this. It means the word!
Very helpful. The aquarium analogy was pure genious! I immediately felt much more relaxed and safe. Thank you so much for sharing your talent for helping others to heal, in these invaluable videos.
Your videos have helped immensely in the time I’ve been listening. You may recall some of my comments suggesting that things were dragging on but in the last 3-4 weeks I have seen significant improvements physically. Major improvements. But my hyper focus has remained stuck despite this. Any tips to help with making equal progress in that respect?
I love this one. Thank you. My only issue is that when I imagine engaging in life symptom free I experience initial joy that quickly turns to feelings of grief, loss, and despair over the life that chronic pain and fatigue has denied me and the hopelessness that I will ever have those experiences. What should I do with that experience? My concern is that I am ending the practice with negative feelings and thoughts which can interfere with the attempt to retrain my brain to feel safety in the presence of symptoms. I’m 54 and have had life derailed since my 20s due to these difficulties.
So sorry to hear this. It is hard for me to advise as I'm not working with you in therapy. Slow exposure to positive images and experiences is key, so it's not overwhelming.
Yes, if this is difficult it can be important to do nervous system regulation first such as Qigong, somatic practices, or breathwork, and once regulated then use visualization.
Hey Tanner, can you help people in the states or only Canada? It sure would be nice if we could do a phone call or zoom for a more personalized help as I have a handful of questions. Thanks.
Thanks for reaching out. We unfortunately cannot work with people internationally. My other agency however offers an in depth digital course. You can learn more here: www.mbodycommunity.com/
I do nt understand why you cannot work with everybody throughout the world. With Zoom or simple telefone distances and borders shoudn‘t be a limit. Are there jurisdiction restrictions for this?

I guess you wana make sure all physical treatable causes are ruled out by the doctor but if they can't find a cause then I'd say neuroplastic ! However, even ailments with "treatable" causes I'm certain can be improved with mind body work as we all know emotions can have a profound effect on the body .placebo studies gave people saline and told them it was chemo and hair fell out ....!! Or they gave saline, told them it was Morphine and pain went away :) but go via docs but do the mind body work. Look up brandy gillmore or Joe dispenza you are the placebo
I was shocked that this practice includes stating that there’s nothing wrong, except in how the brain is processing. I have MS and so there is definitely something seriously wrong with me. Both my spinal cord and brain are damaged and it is a degenerative disease. However, I did find exploring my pain and uncomfortable sensations beneficial.
Yes, my channel is mainly focused on neuroplastic pain and symptoms, where there is no damage or disease in the body. However, much of my content can still be helpful when the symptoms are from damage or disease.
@@painpsychotherapy This aligns with my question too. As someone with Ehlers-Danlos the thinking is that there is damaged (faulty) connective tissue inherited - so encoded in the genes from birth. At least the type I have. I do feel various mind-body-somatic and brain re-training can be supportive. Is that your take with EDS? Loving your videos, explanations, gentle and expert guidance and calm nature. Thank you Tanner.
@@jill2641 Sorry to hear about your symptoms. With EDS I have seen a portion of a persons symptoms be neuroplastic and benefit from this approach. However, I do not know your case fully and cannot say over social media if this would be the case for you.
I’m very interested in these techniques, but anytime I bring my awareness to the sensations in my body, even if it’s in a neutral or observing way, the intensity of the pain increases until it’s extremely uncomfortable.
Sorry to hear this. These practices are best done when we are already somewhat calm and the sensations are lower than usual. You can also practice only doing it for 1-2 minutes at a time.
