    You have a brilliant voice and manner. I find your meditations easier to engage with than some by other people.

    Thank you, Tanner! So appreciate your content! I have (just now actually) anxiety - and often also pain towards the night time. The stakes are higher since I crave sleep so much, as this is quite challenging for me for years.. I feel more peaceful thinking about the anxiety as something i dont need to fix or run away from. So much of meditations and tapping - videoes are talking about releasing releasing ..for me that feels just more stressful. So befriending and being curious and caring for the little one in us being anxious feels so much better. Thanks for reminding me!
    Alts, a little note..For me personally I prefer talking videos without background music. I guess because of my nervous system being easily overloaded:).

      I had to agree. While I loved the message and the words, I found the music mismatched and a little jangling. When music is slower, it soothes and calms and can flow with the words. But this was music to listen to and distracted from the words. Otherwise a fine video.

    This is very helpful. I got over my performance anxiety, even found people liked the stories best when I HAD been anxious but did it anyway. It calmed nicely, UNTIL I had to memorize a long story for the first time since pre-Covid. My short-term memory sucks eggs! So back came anxiety, and here I am back here befriending it instead of getting pissed off as I never used to be anxious performing. 4 years of extreme stress nuked my nervous system, no wonder it's so much worse. So "radical acceptance" is key, but I also appreciate your saying when it's bad it's okay to distract or avoid - as I can give myself hell for doing that rather than facing it right away, when in fact that can worsen it. Another great video, Tanner!

    Hi Tanner. In the video, you state that when anxiety becomes too intense, to shift to a neutral or pleasant sensation in your body. How do I do this? Intermittently throughout the day, I experience periods of high anxiety/panic, even though I'm not facing any obvious threat... BTW...love your videos...I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and so much of what I'm experiencing (i.e. the neuroplastic pain) is now beginning to make sense!

    should i do this once per day similar to how many times you’d recommend somatic tracking?

    • @painpsychotherapy
      @painpsychotherapy  Год назад

      Good question. This really varies person to person on how frequent to use somatic tracking for emotions. It can take some experimenting to figure out what your nervous system currently needs.
