Kingdom Hearts was what actually got me into Final Fantasy before I had no Idea who any of these people were when I pleayed the first time, I only knew Cloud cause I had seen him before.

I really liked Zack & Leon, one being so childish with goals of being a hero and the other just being a big ball of kindness/edgyness
I feel like Cloud is that one character that everyone can recognize, whether they're into Final Fantasy or not. Probably my favorite thing about him, honestly.
I was first introduced to Cloud and everyone else through Kingdom Hearts. People knowing about Cloud without playing Final Fantasy VII just watched Advent Children, which was released three years after the first Kingdom Hearts game exposed him to Disney's audience. Though, I wasn't totally into Final Fantasy until the VII Remake. And I got Final Fantasy X a couple years ago. Also Cloud's inclusion in Super Smash Bros could also be what makes him the most recognizable Final Fantasy character.

My parents got me FF9 for the PS1 but I never completed it. Got introduced to KH and it became one of my favorite games so I went back and played FF7-FF10, FF13, FF15

The Chocobros would've been PERFCET since their brotherly bond meshes well with KH's tone.
The amount of disappointment I had when I realized Sephiroth wasn't a superboss in KH3 was immeasurable and my day was ruined.

@@theinimitablejora522 If I had to guess, probably because there isn't a reason to explore the tower because we're getting cut scenes that explains and keep the story going. Plus, even if we did explore, we had to go to the tower by gummiship and walk to the tower just to trigger a cut scene, which really worsen the pacing.
@@Redxan600 But maybe there's part of the game that was cut. You're thinking within the context of the game that we actually got. But what if there was MORE game, and parts that WOULD facilitate going to a playable Mysterious Tower, or even the rest of Twilight Town? I really think they just didn't give themselves enough time to get the bigger Kingdom Hearts III out and polished, so they gave us something that was trimmed down and edited; as opposed to them cutting unnecessary fat from the game.
It warms my heart to see so many people reacting exactly how I did when I was a Final Fantasy obsessed chunkster of a kid playing these portions. Brings a tear to my eye.

I was introduced to Squall through KH, so I still reflexively call him Leon to this day.
That was a thing clearly they forgotten with KH3. People didn't just want to see Disney characters, people also liked seeing fan favorite Final Fantasy characters return as well in all their glory. I always hoped they would start using Final Fantasy worlds as well, but they did the opposite and completely wiped them from existence. Left me disappointed.
Even as someone who doesn't play Final Fantasy, I was disappointed. Their inclusion is as much a part of the series as the Disney worlds.
Be grateful they were in Re:Mind.
Hell, the game's conception was "What if we mixed Disney and Final Fantasy?"

I honestly feel like people just want them so they can have some other justification for playing other than “I actually like the games and their story, characters, gameplay, et cetera.” Because un-ironically liking KH is something that only stupid children do, right?
@@neveroddoreven6597 You sound weirdly angry. Sorry to break it to you, but to a lot of people, Kingdom Hearts IS "Disney x Final Fantasy". It's the main reason why the series was so popular back in the KH1 and KH2 days. There's a reason that no FF characters was probably the biggest complaint about KH3.
If you like the original KH characters that's fine, but it's clear that to most people, they much rather see Cloud or Sephiroth or Squall rather than Xehanort no. 3048.

Yea, they were a staple in the main games. KH3 really let us down in many aspects.
Those are just excuses they want to make to back up KH3. I mean KH were very charming games because of the crossover between Disney and FF and the fanservice...

For the FF fans, these characters really bring the hype while the main plot isn't at the forefront. Helps with the pacing slightly. But even moreso, there's a certain nostalgic feeling I got in KH2 when Sora saw his old FF *friends* again and fought with them. It wasn't about being hyped to see Squall from FF8, but happy to see our friend Leon from KH1. I think Nomura lost his damn mind thinking he can just omit them and still keep this same level of traditional hype. The only time people felt like this in KH3 was with Roxas...and that was about it. Not that Roxas returning was a surprise or anything.

1: be at least level 100
2: the ultimate keyblade
3: the best defensive items
4: the best abilities equipped
5: A diaper because you're probably gonna shit yourself from how intense this fight is

Btw thanks alot for this man. I've lived like my whole life deep in the KH fandom, so I never think about how cool it must be for FF fans to see these little surprises for the first time. It really warms my heart, I appreciate it
Man watching the sephiroth fights again. Every time I saw him and cloud going at it all badass I was like "That'll be me in kh 3 when sora is finally a keyblade master. Up there with the giants duking it out." I was severely disappointed.

As someone who's first introduction to Final Fantasy was the Kingdom Hearts series, seeing all these reactions is both fun and surreal
I didn’t mind there being no FF characters the first time I played KH3, I didn’t even notice. But my second time around... you really feel their absence. There’s a charm that’s definitely missing and Kingdom Hearts is all about charming the audience. I don’t know where they would’ve fit in since the pacing was awful in 3 but even something as small as Seifer and his gang showing up as an NPC’s in Twilight Town or Leon and Cid showing up to talk to Mickey, Riku, and Ienzo in Radiant Garden would’ve been enough. Hell, not even a Sephiroth boss battle. Another 10 years to get that storyline resolved.
Hoping KH4 fills in that Gap

I really love KH3, but I always feel like I'm missing something. Oh, that's right. The Final Fantasy characters! KH3 wasn't bad or anything, but what really sells me into playing Kingdom Hearts at first was because of the Final Fantasy characters. They always have a place in the Kingdom Hearts world and always help out Sora and co. in their own way. I know that Nomura doesn't need them anymore since the fanbase is already big, but there should be at least a cameo or two.

Imagine if square had putted a final fantasy world in 3, with seph,lightining and summons like bahamut,iffrit etc, like super bosses,they already have the models for iffrit, bahamut and rammuh in toy story world, as toys, even fucking Rex speaks alot about bahamut as a boss(hyped me for nothing).

In Monsters inc we can't even enter the doors to other worlds(at least little rooms), and has just 1 boss!?, worlds like pirates had like 5 unique confrontations, when that unversed boss appeared I was thinking that I have reached the middle of monsters inc story...

I remember how magical it was seeing the Final Fantasy characters show up for the first time ever in Kingdom Hearts, particularly the characters that just looked like blocks in their respective FF games. And they couldn't be slightly fucked off to put them in base KH3.
I love how to those who recognized Auron vaguely at first, they wonder if its actually him, until he says "This is my story." which is basically the dead giveaway.
A thought occurred to me recently. When there weren’t any FF characters in KH3 (not counting statues), they said it was because the developers felt that Kingdom Hearts didn’t need to rely them anymore. Remind might’ve been a sign that they got the message when fans weren’t happy with that, but there’s something else.
When I was a kid and playing KH for the first time, I didn’t know anything about Final Fantasy. But because those characters showed up in this series, it got me curious about their own games when I was older. In other words, Kingdom Hearts could be used to promote Square’s other games.
With recent FF sales being so poor recently (due to multiple unfortunate factors), Square might benefit from going back to having more characters from their other games show ip in this series.
I haven't played a single FF before KH when I was young, but I've got attached to these characters during all my hours playing the game. I'm fucking upset that they didn't put any of them in KHIII while they tried to develop ships with Sora in 2 games already

Those people fail to understand Squall, & that’s unfortunate. Anyway, I hate to admit it, but Cloud was definitely much more emo in the Kingdom Hearts Series than Squall/Leon. Cloud was very distant for no reason, & literally had no character arc or redemption to him much. Whereas Squall does. Yes, Squall was a bit cold at first because he hated himself for failing in saving his home Radiant Garden from Malificient. Which is why he changed his name from Squall to Leon because he felt that he didn’t deserve the name until he saves Radiant Garden by redeeming himself. But he grew overtime, especially in KH2 since he’s more caring towards his friends, especially to Sora. Honestly, without Leon, Sora wouldn’t be who he is today. All that is why Squall/Leon deserves more love & respect. 😔

It's a shame there's no final fantasy Characters in the third Kingdom hearts game. If they're gonna do a next game, I hope they put some in. Maybe put in some Bravely Default/second characters in. They kinda count as Final fantasy as well 😊
Actually I wouldn't mind if they dropped the Final Fantasy limit and just grab from any Square game.
