And then, weirdly enough, that cutscene was back-ported into the 1.5 cutscene movie version of 358. You can tell because it's actually 1080p & has proper anti-aliasing as opposed to the majority of the rest of them being 720p & not having much anti-aliasing.

Thanks for making this video, it's really interesting to see, and I could've sworn the 3rd and 8th new cutscene was already in the original KH2, but maybe that's just from playing KH2FM multiple times lol.
Even though it seems like you won't be returning to this series of videos you made, thank you so much for compiling such a cohesive comparison to the original games vs. the Final Mix versions. Sincerely, thank you! Wish you the best.

47:11 The “Sora” line you’re referring to is in the game, but it doesn’t always play. In the original there are 3 HP gates and the FM has 2. I’ve played this fight extensively and there is a video on my channel where I go fishing for a line I wasn’t convinced was in this game to begin with. I’m not trying to self promo, I’m just stating that as my evidence for it. OG first HP gate: “Sora, are you certain you can trust Riku?” FM first HP gate: *same line* OG second HP gate: “Riku, are sure you’re not Jealous of Sora?” FM second HP gate: it’s supposed to be the same line, but since his health is lower he’ll move into the audio cue for a new attack. The line addressing Riku is still there, but you need to fly around a bit to trigger it. OG third HP gate: audio cue for a new attack. There is a third line, but he won’t say it unless you fly around for a bit. Eventually he will utter: “Sora, Riku, there is falsehood within your hearts. Do you dare deny it?” FM doesn’t have a third HP gate. If you fly around long enough, the third line addressing both Sora and Riku will play. My conclusion is that there were three scripted audio lines in the OG release that were set to play at the three HP gates, but the third one doesn’t play since he’s scripted to do an audio cue for a new attack when you get him down low enough in health and it overrides it. This means the line now has to wait until time has passed to play. Maybe less of a bug and more of an oversight, but that’s just what I have experienced.
I want asking, im playing a normal kingdom hears 2 without final mix..after credits in battle report..why i cant contiune game?? Nothing choice to choose save game or end game...and ideas??
@MadDogSolo It doesn't continue because there's no reason for it to do so because, unlike kh2fm, nothing would unlock, so it would be pretty pointless. In kh2fm, you can continue after the credits because the first time you finish the main story, you unlock more content after the credits and saving your game.

I really hope there is. Final Mix HD for KH2 was a huge improvement (for me), and even though I like KH3, I hope the final mix solves some of the problems, at least little by little.
I played PS2 final mix on an emulator and I don't remember hearing Xemnas question if Sora trusts Riku I'm gonna play the OG PS2 version on an emulator to see if he does.
Not sure if that’s exactly how the lines are, but the final mix cutscenes on PS2 were mostly unvoiced, the Roxas one was in Japanese and those scenes didn’t get voiced and dubbed until 1.5 & 2.5. Xemnas in 1FM just consisted of recycled clips.

this is really neat to see. but i just do not like the 60fps. it moves too smoothly and unnatural. the original was more life-like but i'm also curious as to the reasonings behind enemy redesigns and other things that were fine in the original, like the Get Bonuses.

11:27 in 2.5 on ps4 the hits are strangely slower. on the ps3 it remains as the original 2&2fm. each hit individually canceled very quickly as soon when land a enemy. Making everything snappy and quicker. @@mizzix it does not make sense. if a animation is aesthetic smoother (bcaus60fps) this should look faster.
