Pretty much every 6 out of 10 guitar finish in the '80s. It looks awesome as a planet illustration.

Did you use crackle paint?
Or did the heatgun create crackles?
All the paint is still wet - the heat gun makes the outer color dry at a different rate.
(At least I think that's why this works.
Could be the mysterious "SYNTHETIC" paint, though...
I only have Montana Black and Montana Gold cans here, so I can't test my theory)

@@isaiahreinmiller9311I'm familiar with Casey's channel but it's hardly a copyrighted style, you can find street vendors doing this style of art in practically any tourist hotspot, dime a dozen 'art' channels where very little artistic talent is needed as the vast majority of pieces are muscle memory jobs, no different than the guys who stab holes in paint tins and let them swing on strong 😂

You can also get the same effect when you use water-based paints for the base and then solvent-based paint for the cover color, which, in this case, is black. And you don't need to use heat.
