MSFS Aerosoft CRJ Tutorial Ep4: The Originating Checks!

- Welcome to another video in the Come Fly With Me series. This is episode 3 and I will show you how to perform the originating check.
As another side note, The cockpit sounds can sometimes not by easily heard. (the oxygen and stickshaker sounds for example) I had to tune the sound down a bit so you do not hear a loud avionics fan the whole time. Some sounds are also still in beta, so what you hear is not 100% representative of the final product.

I had to take this refresher fir some house keeping as I get confident in the skies. No matter how many times I refresh, I always take away something new. Delighted to used your series and very fortunate for your time and effort put into this. Thank you again Dude!
I've been flying the CRJ off and on for a few months, but these videos give me such an greater appreciation. Excellent work!
Thank you!
Very efficient. Most RUclipsrs would have taken 2 hours to explain all that. I love it.
MSFS really needs this add on! Systems that are working! Thank you Aerosoft!
The way you hinted at the release date is KILLING MEEEEE LOL! Love the series can't wait to get this
Only 1-7days to go
This looks SO promising! Cant wait to get my hands on it #OHBB
Hey cpt :*
@@seb9148 Hello :)
@@CptCanada Are you one of the streamers that are getting a pre-release version?
heyo cap :) im also so hyped about this and this is freeware its amazing how freeware can beat a payware ahem the max payware gets defeated by a freeware xD any waysd cant wait for you stream and have a lovely day and weeknd
@@RN_SX This one is not freeware mate :D
Very nice, they've modeled just about everything that we use in a normal everyday flight perfectly! Can't wait to see more
I never knew the CRJ comes with a mechanic built in to the nose gear bay 😂, Seriously enjoying these videos! very informative and easy to understand, just got the aircraft today so you were my first stop to get familiar with this aircraft before i get stuck into the manuals!
Thank you, the upcoming patch will make it even better!
Cant wait for this addon! Great to have an experienced person explaining SOP’s for this plane.
More to come!
This looks great. Dying waiting for the next video. Thanks!
I love this series! Keep it up! 👍🏻
OMGGG!!!! I can not wait to fly this aircraft ! Thanks DUDE !!!!! :)))
Have fun!
Thank you for the video, rather impressed with how detailed this Aerosoft addon is! Hope the game is updated to DX12 soon to allow the simulator to take advantage of high core count CPUs
OMG!!! A new video!!! 👏🏻👏🏻🤩🙏🏻 Thank you very much again!!!
Having 4,800 hours in the real CRJ-700/900, I’m looking forward to this airplane.
Wow
you are the best, surely
Let me ask you then, if I set my landing altitude and make sure the packs are on, is there any reason I should be having pressurization issues? I’ve noticed the cabin alt will climb at 300fpm until it’s like 25000ft when I’m at cruise. Can’t figure it out as I have no real world experience in a CRJ
@@jeremyc311709 The cabin should climb at a much lower rate than the airplane. The max cabin diff is 8.7. It should be roughly that at cruise.
@@Banshee365 right but it’s like I’m losing pressurization. The cabin alt will reach around 25000ft
Hello mate , why I’m I having the DIFF PRESS light On always ?
Great video thanks 👍
The skycam system 😂
kind of looks like mathjis lol
nice
I tried this "Originating checks"... Wow, I actually know what the buttons and switches do now. Thanks for the video👍 BTW, I got similar specs. i9 10900, 490E strix, 32 GB 3600, Asus tuf 3080OC. Over Frankfurt, London,Paris, NYC,Berlin, and Tokyo I"m getting 50-60FPS @ Ultra.
I CANNTTT WAITTTT!!!!!!!!!!!
could you show us the cabin of the crj? im very hyped for that one
Haha I love that picture at 5:12
Looking really good! :-)
cant wait for the next video :o and I really want to get my hands on that plane.
Does/will it have a working HOLD feature?
Seems like a wonderful plane.. there wil a part where you'll actually fly the thing eventually right?
Yep, the videos are geared towards novice pilots and that also means a lot of explaining before we can even start to fly.
Hello. How can you open the pop up avionics windows? Is there any options inside the sim?
Use R ALT and the mouse click.
@@Flyer0245 thanx :)
@@blntydmr Glad I could help.
How are you getting the individual displays to "pop out" into a larger window? What mouse or keyboard command?
R ALT and click the display with your mouse pointer.
@23:55 you disconnect stab trim for test. How to do this?
Go to controls within MSFS and then the submenu landing gear. Bind a key/button to "TOGGLE TAIL WHEEL LOCK" and now you can disconnect the stabs.
@@Flyer0245 thanks a lot! Is there any documentation about CRJ bindings?
@@mixMugz Maybe it is in the supplied manuals, I did not check them for it.
Will it have working windshield wipers & single engine taxi capability? This aircraft was one of the first i seen in person as a kid coming from a town with a small airport.
Will all be possible yes. I also remember seeing the CRJ for the first time myself while standing next to a runway on a sunday afternoon. Man, did it look good.
What are the "never ever touch this" buttons for?
It basically sets the thrust rating one step higher than the detents gives you. But it is never used IRL during normal and abnormal situations. It is more of a certification thing that does not concern the pilots very much.
Looks like they are still working on a few little features so it'll be be another week at least. However it appears Aerosoft is stepping into study level territory with this one.
Small stuff is still being added and will also be added after release.
Will it come with PDF checklists? can wait for this!
Yes!
Awesome! I plan to C+D starts mostly, apart from take-off learning etc. If you spawn at the runway does the CRJ spawn with all systems on like other ac in the sim?
It is your choice. On the apron it starts with engines off, on the runway engines are running. Those situations are basics and in the EFB you can load 4 specifically designed situations and define your preferred one.
@@metzgergva Thanks for that, cool we can have 'panel states' in the efb
Does this Aircraft have a fully modelled cabin ?
how do you disconnect the stab trim?
Go to controls within MSFS and then the submenu landing gear. Bind a key/button to "TOGGLE TAIL WHEEL LOCK" and now you can disconnect the stabs.
How is he maximizing the flight control screens?
R ALT and click the display with your mouse pointer.
How do you change the camera angles so fast like ChasePlane ?
I just bind them to a joystick button and presto. It is all default MSFS.
No stab trim on when checking hyd pumps?
Company SOP.
If you want to you can do it though.
Anyone know why I can’t get continuous ignition to turn on?

I keep cabin alt warning. I’m not sure why. I don’t think I missed a step

i would like to see a take off its been 5 vids of checks up the wazoo
Welcome to the real world of flying. Check check check and check.
TCAS, TCAS, what do you say...
21:17 It is very strange position for metric alt switch. Why cockpit designers put it there? It has no means to engine or flaps controls. It should be on left/right panels where screen setup knobs are.
Probably an after thought .
Weather/ Terrain Radar ?
No/no. They say it can not be done at the moment.
Is it just me or are the letters and numbers on the Screens so tiny. There is no chance to read it properly in normal view.
Dang, y'all Euro CRJ drivers get an electronic flight deck door lock/unlock!?
Shut up and take my Money :D
oh you are so so dutch lol
So very true. lol....
You really are going to tell us to never press those buttons without telling us what they do? That's evil.
Those are the candy dispenser
I'm going to press first chance I get.
Couple corrections, just so people watching know.
- On the cabin pressure panel, you need to set the destination airport elevation, not the departure elevation.
- For the air conditioning system, if you turn on manual mode, you set the PACKs temperature with the hot/cold switches on the side, not with the main temperature knob.
The plane is looking excellent overall though!
On the cabin pressure panel you must to set your departure airport because in an emergency you maybe can need to return; in flight, prior to descend, you set the destination elevation
I’m pretty sure he’s a real world CRJ pilot correct me if I’m mistake but if he is maybe his company policy does things weird or is different but thanks for the info!!
@@kellenhannagan7350 he is or was a real crj pilot
The cabin press thing is a company SOP thing. No right or wrong here. The Temp manual are indeed the hot/cold switches and I had my mouse on the auto selectors yes. Have to make a small change there.
Looks like this is going to be an FPS eater going by this video.
It is not. The pop up window with my recording software takes a hit though.
Not my plane.... I stick with Airbus. More useful crafts...
