Thank you for this great video. I'm not sure about the reasons why we need to input the VOR/DME frequencies for take off? Following the FMS isn't enough? Sorry if this a dumb question.
The frequencies are just for back up and to check the plausiblilty of the calculated aircraft postition. This was more a thing years ago before GPS got such a big role in navigation. Some departures are still based on conventional navigation and the FMS overlay is just there to help fly the aircraft in "LNAV". In these cases you need to insert the frequencies because the VOR/NDB/DME is the primary source of navigation.
In the middle of this video my aircraft contacted ATC and cancelled my IFR flight plan. All FMS data is wiped out. Any reason why because I don't want to start this whole thing again if it's going to do this every time. What did I do wrong? 😣
@@flychangi3191 on the fourums he said he was busy over the weekend, this also isn't his job he's just volunteeringly doing this during the week on his free time so he often only has time to record and edit 1 segment a day
On my CRJ are many many bugs with switches, buttons and functions. I can't use any IRS and the Auto Pilot didn't works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone has also these problems????? Or am I the only with these problems??

Figured it out. Turn off the automatic co-pilot then I'm the one that makes the calls not the AI. Duh.

Did you try to use the mouse wheel to flip switches? Did you make sure the STAB channels and Yaw damper 1 and 2 are engaged?
