Another great review gentlemen, I do like the Redbreast 12 with the fruity notes ending in cacao, bitterness, and coffee. Always appreciate your vast knowledge of drams and spirits. Cheers!
I picked up a bottle of the 12 year cask strength at about 57 or 58% abv. At the time it was only about $5 US more than the regular strength. It was quite an experience. Really instructed me on the difference from Scotch single malt whisky. Lovely whiskey it was.
Years ago I had looking for this one at local stores but they did not sell it. Yesterday I wented to my local liquor store and saw this one the Red Breast 12yrs and bought it after thinking of many other choices. It was the last bottle and behind the bottle, at the back they had the box also. So I grabbed that one too. I really love this whisky (or because its Irish "whiskey").
I love the Redbreast Lustau Edition Sherry Finish, definitely my favorite. Have you tried the Lustau Edition and what is your opinion? Would you recommend something similar in taste profile. Thank you
I can't believe you didn't finish it! A bottle here in Ireland is 63EUR minimum for the Redbreast and in a pub would pay close to 12EUR a glass, so you have about 5EUR left in your glass there lol!
@@GWDH19 because Ireland is a rip off .... Always has been. Tourists go to Temple Bar when they go to Ireland and a pint is like €7.50 .... Crazy!!! I could buy a burrito for that price 😂
I don’t get the tasting notes these two are describing at all. For me, I get more sweet honey and vanilla cream, almost a maple flavor. One of my absolute favorites.
I get mainly a grassy tone similar to a rye whisky and vanilla. Pretty smooth and I don't pick up on much else. It's nice, but a very simple whisky for me personally
I get that grassy, almost bitter note, then a muted red wine, sort of mild dark fruit, then a lovely caramel, almost toffee type flavor with a hint of toasted coconut finish. Solid and enjoyable, makes me want to try the cask strength.
Great review gentlemen! Thank you! 😁 I just purchased a bottle of this the other day and look forward to trying it with my brother! I promised him I would not open it without him. lol.
@@chang-jungkarki1684 Yes I did! Pretty smooth after the fire kick...lol. We weren't eating...we were sipping it straight. Just hanging out trying it. He's more of a bourbon guy...my bro...but he liked it. Let me know what you think after you try it! 😁
As a Irish lad that chases the buzz anywhere i go… I’ve been to all the continents except Australia.. (don’t know how good a wild Irish lad and and salt croc mix) but not going to lie these boys done a great job with a straight face. Was all the dad if you as me… the son has way more to offer as a fellow lad. But hey dad knows best. The day I am out drinking shit whistkeys and someone says redbreast I will retracte my stupid comments. Go, drink it, in my country ❤️
Another well-done review. Redbreast 12 has been recommended by American RUclipsrs as a good introduction into the world of Whisky. Certainly, I think the richness should fit the American palate. From your experience, what do you guys think about this as a beginning whiskey?
I have both and they’re so good, red breast to me is more toasty and comforting like Christmas in a bottle, and green spot is lighter with green apple , both taste very oaky with white grape, I slightly prefer green spot. Haven’t tried the yellow spot it’s kind of expensive
I have recently bought one, but it has got very unpleasant "cellar smell" and "cork taste", which I have experienced with bad red wines, but not with whiskeys. Is it possible that my bottle (or the cork) is faulty?
Good grief, everyone says this is awesome and I want to try it so bad! I just can't pay almost $80 for 80 proof whiskey. I understand that some people have access to cask strength and older age statement bottlings at this price point. I got 8 year Quiet Man, which was fantastic and almost half the price of RB
One of the gems of Irish whiskey. The 21yo is one of my top 5 all time favourites. Thanks for a great review gentlemen. Cheers 😊🥃!!
I really like the Redbreast 12, haven’t pulled the trigger on the Redbreast 21 ($250.00++) at that price should come with a beautiful Red head 😂😂
Voted the best whiskey in the world great achievement for the Irish ☘️ 🇮🇪

My favorite Irish whiskey
Love RedBreast, one of the more respected goto's in my cabinet.
This is one of my absolute favourites if you don't want peat

Nose: apricot, orange citrus, grape, plumb, grass clippings, vanilla caammel, honey
Pallet: caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, grape, honey, cinnamon, raisin.
I didnt appreciate this one for what it is at the start of trying it.
I took those dark heavy after-tones for a flaw at first...
Its good stuff, this!
I love the Redbreast Lustau Edition Sherry Finish, definitely my favorite. Have you tried the Lustau Edition and what is your opinion? Would you recommend something similar in taste profile. Thank you
My favourite great whiskey.
One of my favorite Irish beverage. I don’t like the more expensive version. Very smooth. No bite

Why do you have to pay 63EUR for Irish whiskey in Ireland? In The Netherlands, I have to pay 39EUR for the same bottle.

Lovely..my favorite Irish whiskey so far on my noob journey.. goodbye Jamison, its me not you.

Definitely vanilla and some fruity tones. The slight spice comes at the finish, but the vanilla Definitely stays.
You gotta swish it around like listerine is why

Did you open it? How was it? 😁😁 I would love to try it soon. And with which food did you pair it with?

Proper no.1 is the redbreast... love this stuff...
Add a drop of water, and a pint of Guinness just makes for happy times!
You do not mix Whisky and Guinness that just leads to a sore bum hole and a shit day after.
@Benghali In Platforms you are not your grandfather soyboy, there there, hold your horses now will ya
Thanks for review ,this is good ..
and it is my favourite whiskey, by far. I have a 21 year old in the cupboard, saving for Christmas.
Yet to try the 21. Hope ya enjoyed.
This one is completely foriegn to me just don't have the palette for it,until I put it in a coffee mug. Makes the best Irish coffee ever.

Lots of green fruit notes that are so strong and sweet that it tastes like apple bubble gum.
Amazing stuff

I wouldn't care what's written on the box, I'd only care about the taste of what's on the inside!
Redbreast or Green/Yellow Spot?

What glass is that ? A Whiskey tasting glass?
👍Love it
Nice Bulova Hurst 👍
Please try the Cask strength, their best one yet!
Please review also Lustau Edition of Readbrest, i buy it last week and its incredible! And THX for your reviews, i spend lot of time with them.

Maybe you got a counterfeit.

I got it for $55

Love it!
Never tried it but I’m sure it’s good

This taste so good mixed with pineapple juice, nestle chocolate milk and Tylenol. Boy I tell you want a drink....lol
Lol
Feiner Whisky das kann ich dir Sägg´n
Prices at Whisky.de are a joke, way too high compared to other German internet shops... Nice to watch, buy somewhere else !
HahaMMMMMhuhuhummMMmmMHMmmmmmhuhuhuhu
A bit expensive for the age in my opinion.
RobFut 99 nah. Delicious and worth it. Don’t get so caught up on years I say. Proof is in the pudding...
Expensive? I paid like €30 for it. Regular retail like 35-40 maybe
You can pick some up in Ireland cheaper.
Jon Young sadly its $70 where I am :(
125 Australian dollars here
