    Honestly what was essentially a blind interview, it was pretty good and asked some good questions more about the future and direction of the game. Also good to know the crystal is not actually the sword. It is a separate sort of deal.

    What if in "The last Titan" where some things don’t go as planned, is for example a fight between Tyralyon and Anduin. Where Anduin sees that the forces of the light are not what they seem. Same like with Illidan.

    man, crazy how you say you didn't have time to prepear good questions. To be honest its the best interview from what people did after the announcment, you actually try to ask them something that matters(maybe not getting the answer), instead of dead "will we get more haircuts for elves\bag slots or whatever", which nobody actually cares about and they are going to do anyway and we already know its a matter of time.

    It's fascinating hearing them talk about this. I have been preaching that the philosophy of the game has changed from being the character to controlling a series of characters (like the original Warcraft games). The player is the one experiencing the world across characters rather than having a known presence in a static world via an avatar.
    Tell completely different philosophies, both great in their own right. I prefer being in a world where I'm someone but at this point in retail that's been long gone. Bring on the war bands!!

    Lets be real here, the idea of having 3 expacs planned for story reasons is exactly why classic wow up to WOLTK was so popular. The the story of the LK had been set up since WC3 and Metzen + co all knew where it was eventually leading, even it was 6+ years down the line. Thats where we're at now. Metzen's came in and recognized that theres no continuity or over arching plot any more (there techically is, but its been yolo'd for the past 3/4 expacs) so theyve set them selves a main plot.
    Hopefully it pays off

    Reading between the lines a bit here, but I'm getting the feeling their emphasis on having a cohesive story going forward means that they didn't have solid footing on the overall narrative of the game previously. And that each expansion really was piecemeal.

    This is the best interview from Blizzcon because you asked hard questions that they weren't prepared for. Tali, imo, you're best unscripted. You do ramble way too much on Twitch vods, but I still enjoy them because you make such honest and brutal comments. A lot of us feel like Blizz just lawyers - and we hate it - and many of us are just looking for authenticity. Again - great interview. I like you unscripted.

    • @Katassu86
      @Katassu86 8 месяцев назад

      Because the sword that shall not be named was full of Fel energy, and we drained it. If its the sword, no light/void, no sunlight for the Arathi (so likely no Arathi). If we're in a cavern beneath the sword, then the sword isn't impacting the world soul. I'm surprised people keep thinking it's the sword, we're half a planet away.

      @@ShadowsOfThePast The sunshard/void shard in the ceiling is a fading Naruu. We find out probably 2nd or 3rd raid. its released by Xal'atath, We lose.
      Midnight is all about Xal'atath getting some random item within the kingdom of Quel'thalas so she can get access to the sunwell. The entire northern part of the eastern kingdoms is revamped. Capitals are Silvermoon for horde, Gilnaes for Alliance, undercity is a raid fighting probably the scarlets.
      In the mean time we find out that the energy from the sunwell is a mysterious power from the ground.. something unknown... its a direct link to the titan core.
      We Fight the Naruu/Void being in the sunwell room while they perform a ritual. We kill it and as we kill it a cinematic shows a single drop of the void falling into the sunwell.
      Enter last titan. Opening story is the titan is corrupted and sends a signal to the titans some how, or Algalon does.
      Raid 1 is us fighting Azeroth. Our capital city will be Ulduar with an entire Northrend Revamp. We win the fight, we purify the Titan and find out that the Titans that are coming.
      Final Raid is us siding with Azeroth to defend the planet from the titans who are just going to obliterate it to save it. Azeroth Genocides the Titans and that forces a collapse in reality. Chromie or Nozdormu says "we must go champion to save it. Azeroth is locked in a stasis and we teleport back in time, everyone to the black empire OR the War of the ancients. That part im still trying to figure out.

    Hope Last Titan means they wipe the lore clean and go back to the roots through time stuff. Modern WoW lore is so incredibly badly written compared to what it should be, and as solely an RPG it's utterly worthless trash cause then you can compare it to stuff like Witcher 3 and BG3. I hope they go back to the "the world is the main character"-stuff, cause they're obviously not nearly as capable as FF14 writers as an example. Me and many I know will not go back to WoW since a few expansions back, not until there is clear evidence that it's not just another hype and dump train. People should stop calling wins before they happen and just feed bullshit, but people won't cause of the cocaine effect or just being fucking dumb.
