I want to imagine a big place/ house /castle /garrison where all the NPCs walking around are....actually your other characters. And you can transfer your "conciousness" into them without going back to the main screen. Milion dollar idea, i know.
YES! And you could also build a tavern or crafting station or fishing pond to enable certains crafts or purchases from npcs.
That's pretty much what the Sims 4 gameplay is. Control the persons in your 'household' by issuing social commands to them and switch between the one you are piloting with a toggle button. The game engine for that feature does exist.
Literally was going to say the same thing.
YEEES. When they first showed that war bands picture my mind immediately jumped to assume we would be able to use our alts as bodyguards, like in Legion. And now I want that. Lol
But ask yourself would that make the players happy? if so then you know what blizzard would do
One of the best stories of Dragonflight was a "campfire scene" with the old dragon you help remember his youth. I loved that quest chain.
Hell yes! I love the little ‘stay a while and listen’ details like that. I feel it’s sort of double edge that there’s a quest tied into it, but I enjoy the pacing of how that storyline works out.
Yeah @talesin
I can absolutely see warbands as a precursor to full housing. It's a solid first step
Same. It was my first thought. "Oh this log in screen is going to be my house one day."
I really like the idea of 'farming' out new backgrounds/houses for your select screen. It can give old raids/dungeons/zones an extra option to go back to
I really like this idea too!
War Bands effectively makes you no longer feeling compelled to sticking with a "main" you've done everything on, allowing you to expand to other classes and roles.
Now if only they did the same for professions -- at least have learnt recipes become account wide, and have your alts still level them to keep the demand for mats.
I love jumping out and trying out others classes, like my typical cycle is Melee -> Range -> back to Melee, repeat
Each jump makes me appreciate the other more and makes me more excited to return to it.
However, when it guts my reputations? It slowly kills my motivation.
i cant wait i want to go back to my lock but with every rep maxed out on my main im like nah not worth it.
Wow doesn't lack campfire scenes. It lacks scenes of characters sitting over a pint of beer at your local inn, next to the warm hearth, with the music and a treasure map, like the DnD settings WoW was inspired by. If we do not get a Warbands background of them hanging out at a tavern, I will RIOT
Also, crafters should be able to make transmog items, like the things that you get at the Trading post
It’s funny the “campfire scene”, is brought up because I feel like both the centaur and the tuskarr were sort of the embodiment of that ‘take some time, learn our ways, talk to all of us’ storylines. Those cultures were really thought out. I really enjoyed being introduced to that in game. Also I’ve felt more compelled just to hang out in the various taverns in the isles. They feel more populated, and there’s so much more detail.
To be fair to the people who would have trashed it in MoP, there was a time in WoWs history where reputation gains were directly tied to player power. Sentiment towards account wide rep has only really increased since Blizz decoupled the two
I really hope so! Warbands is very cool but so far it's technically just aesthetically pleasing BoA. Player housing being a warband camp with my alts would be so sick. Camping with my alts, eventually building houses.
No it isn't. It also works with reps & flightpaths & map discovery -- and it works across your entire Blizzard account, even if you have multiple different subscriptions.
@@dr.zoidberg8666 ? That’s BoA.
Orgrimmar & Stormwind get destroyed during the Worldsoul Saga. The players must work together to rebuild their capital cities. Gathering resources through combat, exploration & farming and crafting items for npc crafting orders for example. This allows to revamp the cities and update the social hub experience. Sometime early throughout this process players unlock their own instanced homes in or outside of the city.
I think that will happen after the world soul saga since they are targeting TBC revamp with midnight and wotlk revamp with last titan . And the 4th expansion that is unannounced with be the cata world revamp . We got a long road ahead but we can only hope for the best
love this idea
@@Thrall966 that actually makes a lot of sense
@@g59dillonmeh I know 😂😂 I’m surprised how any content creator didn’t realize this
Honestly? They could even just do a phased version of Northshire Abbey and Durotar. Let us take command/ rebuild the old secluded starting hubs similar to how we built our garrison in WoD. Slap a meeting stone next to the entry to pick the instance of you or a friend/guildie, and presto. I mean, we already have legit reasons in all the armies being depleted over the years, so time to go back and man those old bastions again!
I did the orc heritage quest a bit ago, and the banquet at the end was the single most immersive experience in WoW.
having house in the world may be based on delves tech to let you enter instanced zone without loading screen
In the Q&A they said they plan to do changeable backgrounds because of the players asking for it -- but it won't be ready for 11.0
Sounds like the player base wants something more like the Stronghold System from Star Wars the Old Republic as their Player Housing. The shared bank system of the Warband already reminds me of the Legacy Storage and crafting bank from that game as well. :D
Having a cozy side of WoW to do before you log off at the end of the day sounds awesome, like an evergreen garrison but with more customization. I honestly didnt hate garrisons, they just need to be less useful so you still have reasons to be outside of them.
As someone whose first intentionally acquired title was “the Fabulous” and learned the layout of Undercity to do it (running back and forth from the tailoring trainer to the 8 auctioneers, shout-out to Naxxremis, she was always the coolest), transmog is the avenue that led me to all of the rest of the game, like joining guilds so I could raid their bank of transmog, to finally raiding purely because I extremely fell in love with Uldir’s cloth gear being fully metal armour, which actually led me to the first ever time tailoring gave me a gear upgrade, the craftable Uldir hands
This is one of the things I always wanted in my WoD Garrison. It would've been awesome if you just had one Garrison for all your characters, and when you go there on a character you can see your other characters doing things.
The fun thing is, I've been using /camp to log out for as long as I can remember. If you didn't know about this, the command "/camp" logs you out. Because you're setting up camp for the night.
it's funny because in pandaria i would had thought the same thing, but i was in school, no bills and real responsibilities except school and pixels were important apparently, but you grow up, jobs, responsibilities, some responsibilities are being a parent and MAN, you NEED these systems now.
The Warband login screen was taken directly from Lost Ark, and I loved it there...gonna love it here. Once again, WoW does itself justice by yoinking other games' best features.
Listening to 5:07 it just came across my mind "Just normal innocent men"
I'm ambivalent to player housing, but if we get it, I hope we get farming as a secondary profession.
I loved my MoP farm so i'd be in for that.
I'm ambivalent as well on housing.
I'd go for a Carpentry Profession: allowing us to finally harvest those trees in the overworld for Lumber needed to build new house additions like new rooms, furniture, and entire floors of your house.
There is a campfire scene in Zeralek Caverns with the dragonscale expedition but yeah it would be nice to see that kind of thing with main characters
Solo player housing would need to be a thing since not everyone joins guilds. I don't because i choose not to and like my 'solo' play while not feeling alone while playing.
Eso has guilds entirely dedicated to housing competitions. I used to be in one, it was a lot of fun!
Housing would help bring in a lot of new players and retain them longer.
imagine if that drakthyr just gets up and goes to pour himself some more water if you idle in the login screen for a minute.
Any interaction between my alts would be amazing
Imagine if your Garrison in WoD had been more like this. I feel like if you take that Garrison tech and Warband tech and meld them and it's a great foundation for not just player housing, but a player warcamp!
Changing the infrastructure to allow for items to be shared by all toons (like xmog) makes sense. You can collect new things on any toon to put in "your" space.
A player housing system similar to ESO's would be delightful. I played ESO for years and I think I invested more time, money (in game and real) in that system than I did anything else. And I was a hardcore raider!
I really wish you could use your alts as NCP companions. LIke how you had a NPC companion in Legion.
This entire scenario hinges on the notion that the entire "we've had to break down and rebuild so much" to make more stuff account-wide is true, though. Which... could be true for sure, maybe they've had to bandaid the code years ago to start making a few things account-bound and have dragged that workaround since, and finally decided to clean it up.
But it's just about as likely that it was essentially a matter of changing a few lines of code (solely for the account-wide aspect, presumably there will also be some sort of UI), and they had to justify not doing it until now. Which, let's not fool anyone, happens literally all the time in computer programming. Not saying that makes it more likely, just not implausible.
I would agree player housing would finally arrive but I don't think it would come during The War Within. If anything, it'll be a feature in Midnight.
I would love the characters doing stuff at the camp. Like playing cards or dices, telling jokes, sharpen their sword, craft arrows, to carve something out of wood or stone...
one of the biggest hurdles for player housing was the excessive data requirements for it. FFXIV encounters this issue as well, and they solve it by just limiting how many ppl can have a player house at one time.
Warbands essentially solves this by allowing them to make player housing an account-wide feature, instead of a character-specific feature, drastically reducing the amount of data storage needed on their end.
As soon as they announced warbands I got super excited
Granted, one of the reasons it is so heavy on servers, is because how insanely detailed it is, it kinda surpass most games that center around this feature on a single player or dedicated server. I doubt they will go for that level of detail, because housing like environments in WoW aren't that meticulous detailed, so it shouldn't be that big problem
I said this during the stream as well, Dracthyr are starting from level 10, and they do not get mail until later, which is why they have to wear leather before hand :p
They came close to the 'camping with your buds' feeling with the garrisons. This really feels like a very upgraded version of that, but with your alts instead of all NPCs wandering around and responding to your character. I'm SO looking forward to seeing what's up with this warbands thing.
So , would you want a library of all the books from WOW that you collected and found then you could open the story and a narrator would read the book aloud while a few pictures pertaining to the story was shown?
Also the backgrounds for the characters in the warbands should be the ones you earned like in the game, Lost Ark. As you progress in the game and/or earn achievements you unlock the backgrounds for your roster.
One of the initial complaints of the Garrison was that it wasn't account bound. I think warbands are foundational to player housing too. Ian said something about it too, like "it enables us to do a bunch of stuff".
BUT, I think it has a good chance of not being released until after the Last Titan, because I think the birth of the world soul will give us a proper "world revamp", and that revamp will include spaces for player housing in the world. Non instanced housing in the vein of Star Wars Galaxies, with player built and driven towns....well that's something worth waiting for.
In my opinion the game needs a feature like player housing, especially for guilds. At the moment so many in my guild only log in for raids or m+. It could be another pillar for gameplay and communities to unlock achievments. WoW lacks so behind in Guild features in comparison to other MMOs and it gets harder every Add On to maintain a active community. Blizz plz give us guild housing and Guild missions or something like that..
Speaking to your comment, about the fact, they put things into the game and then use them as building blocks for other things. Whilst in 11.0 we might not get player housing as they ironed out the kinks in war bands. The fact that warbands exist. And garrisons exist. Shows that they have the technology to do player housing.
I made the mistake of watching this right before bed yesterday and my head was just swimming with wishful thinking. named warband, tabard, and customisable background. Ultimately actual in-game warband housing: What if there was some progression in that where you unlock more slots/possibilities for the camp? So basic camp is just your characters, incl. warlock/hunter pets - The you can unlock an upgrade to customize, where you can maybe choose a mount and pet pr warband loginscreen character to chilling in your camp when you're there, bigger/more tents. So maybe 4 or more camp options, where you can of course opt out/leave slots blank to fit your own roleplaying fantasy: basic camp -> camp -> outpost -> ... fort (let's avoid the word garrison). There could even be some unlocks for tent/building designs that were race specific, perhaps earned through heritage quests. So you can choose to have a outpost in pure tauren architecture if you've done a heritage quest on a tauren, and maybe you can even choose to design a multicultural camp where it's a mix of buildings.. Tauren, Night Elf, Pandaren and maybe even race architecture from non-player races like murloc :D
sorry for the long comment, I just had to get the thoughts down so I can sleep tonight
Would love to see us collect warbands BGs like we did music scrolls for the Garrison music box
I really like this idea of Warbands. If we could have multiple Warbands with 4 characters each, with different backgrounds, and you could name each Warband, it would be sweet.
Housing in ESO is one of the best housing features I've seen in games ever. If WoW plans on adding that feature, they need to do it the same way.
Star Wars the Old Republic had a "Legacy" system in the game early and it eventually lead to player housing. It allowed for a few benefits for players namely you got to unlock all the races for any class. Maxing out a character gave all your characters a usable cooldown ability, some really good CCs and AoEs. The silliest thing about it was creating the "family tree" and explaining how your alts are related.
One problem I will raise with ESO housing is the monetisation. The gold prices on most houses are through the roof, and many are Crown-only, many of those time-restricted, with some costing more than some AAA games.
I don't trust current day Blizzard to not also monetise the hell out of housing. Maybe not to ESO's extent though.
For me, I wish warbands could allow you to invite warband members to a 5 player dungeon but is Ai controlled, or the ability to invite a warband member into the open world that is Ai controlled and quest with you. Give us Warband halls, you know… kinda hard to come back home when you haven’t given us a home in game Chris Metzen!
That would make WoW mostly a single player game, which I would love with everything I have! haha I have no friends :(
@@oswaldovzki still have raids, and pvp that wouldn’t hit that niche. Your characters exist in the world, yet they are limited in the one character you run with. Why not allow players to have their alt run with them. Of course you could put a scaling system on this so that players don’t power grind with their alt warband character moping up the scene.
The Nyctermoon private server has a BRILLIANT system of AI where you can do exactly this. You hire companions and they party with you - so it can be done. I think it would be a great option for at least normal/heroic dungeons.
@@AlphaEthan I just think of it like ffxiv’s single player dungeon experience. Rather then it being random heroes through out the story, I’d rather see my own alts playing together. All my hard work, on one screen working together.
no
They should make your war band follow you and assist you in game. Like npcs, copies of your war band characters, same specialization and mogs, following around and assisting you when you call them in all solo game content. That! would be awesome. So, solo delves with your warband.
I REALLY really like this idea!
This is kind of what I thought “followers” in WoD was going to be: meet followers in the world, they come to your garrison, and then you either send them on missions and they actually leave (and weaken your garrison defense) or you tell them to follow you and they assist you in the world and dungeons. Instead, we got a table with some buttons to click and a garrison that had no impact on the world.
I like the idea of this happening *sometimes* but not too often. I’d still like solo play to be somewhat challenging.
somewhat unrelated, but starcraft 2 has it's background based on various co-op commanders. You can choose which theme/background you want or even hit random for a different theme every time you log in.
Valley of the Four Winds has campfire moments, especially if you do the Li Li quests. I would love to see the character return, especially since she is probably grown up by now
I’d imagine end of dragon flight starting patch will probably be home based or camp based. I doubt we get a full grown home but a camp system is already there I believe it will go camp>fort>then fortress>castle a mini version of what we had in WoD
Having a character separate Outpost in WoD was so much player work (if you have alts), with Warbands as an account Housing would greatly reduce the amount of player upgrade work and server info to store.
I want my other characters in my warband to be potential companions in delves
I just really hope they do not shit on it like garrisons. Garrison had such a large potential if that is the case. Different guards ( think they had like only two choices for this) , but I really was hoping for different race housing. Like Blood elves with their style of barracks, or Gilneans with theirs but it was such a high missed chance due to development rushes and cuts. If they did do this, I really hope they add in in patches more buildings for us to mess with if that is going to be similar enough. I'd much prefer them say "What we're giving is an option but there will be more later coming in different patches down the road to keep you invested." The display shelfs in the garrison for archeology and Dalaran was fun it gave a sense of pride for people who did that. Have an NPC with a mini-profession of 'carpentry',' etc to add more of a reason to collect items or use professions around the world. FF did it well I will say in regards to keeping to going for their own. Go for gold add a cosmetic vendor or the trading post guys in there why not? Even a scrapper to use materials to make said items would be wonderful bringing it back from BFA and add more old content mats to make it decorated.
Just please do not give up on a system that would of been great long term is all I want the most because garrisons had a hard potential and I do not wish for housing to be given up so easily like Blizzard did with garrisons.
And no garrison are not the same as housing. All the RPers are just waiting so much to finally have something they can work for an enjoy doing, and the RPers have been around for years trying to keep themselves busy even when the lore was at it's worst. It's a simple thing they ask for and I understand why.
Imagine outside of the main four you see on the login screen hanging out by the fire you could also occasionally see some of your other characters walking around in the backround doing shit around camp
I really hope War bands act as surnames as well. Naming toons these days is just ridiculous.
I've always wanted surnames, not sure how difficult it would be. If Warbands allowed a "last name" I think that would be a step in the right direction, but I'd rather they just do a 14-20 character name limit, but allow us to include spaces. The problem would be solved.
What would be fun, is if you were able to see your own characters camping in-game where they logged out (and perhaps even be able to trade with them directly, skipping mail altogether).
Don't forget, Dark Elves are now seamless instances. That'd be very important for player housing.
i honestly think. they should take a look into how guilds function and the rewards that can come together with them. guild quests. guild scenarios. passive guild quests. MORE interesting achievements even if small. tons of rewards and better ways to represent and customize your guild.
Emet Selch made really good use of his screen time, and he got enough screen time to be able to make good use of it.
making the backgrounds like hearthstone boards with little interactive clickable things could be quite fun too
0:35
That's because it was a different game back then.
It has changed so much that there is a decent argument that "warband" and player housing is actually appropriate now.
I like it. Makes sense lore wise (we've seen cross faction npcs working together for specific non faction related goals all the time) and it's cool. Also as someone super casual these days, I love this. It'll actually encourage me to play my alts. Right now, I kinda feel *obligated* to do a check list on every alt, so I just haven't been playing them.
I think player housing would be better if there was exclusive plots you can purchase just because having it effectively be a garrison will separate the playerbase weather we like it or not. If they were to make enough plots around the world, say like all capital cities in all factions and neutral capitals, major neutral cities like the goblin cities, as well as rural options in smaller towns and if they go crazy warships and airships. Make it so there is more than enough options for people to pick. Make some of them personal player housing, while others are warband housing like a barracks or campsite in the wilderness, and make some like the airships, warships and biggest plots in the major cities into guild halls.
Then they would just need to make it so the owner player has the ability to restrict access like the alliance/horde districts in dalaran to other players based on their faction, guild, etc. Maybe make it so you can have some parts of the hall/command center/farm/castle to be visitor friendly while others can stay restricted.
Making individual plots exclusive means players who need to go to specific other player's houses will need to be out traveling the world to get there. Maybe your server group has all the major cutting edge hall of fame guilds with their bases in the same city that isnt the major capital; all of a sudden that location they are based on is now a much more desired location to be in and people will flock to it.
I don’t care for player housing but the idea of guild housing sounds fun. If everyone can make a contribution to a guild house with the individual things they do. Maybe 1 person can unlock a decoration because they do title. Or another person does pet battles and unlocks cool pets that walk around. That to me is appealing because you can contribute to a group and still play the way you want to.
This could easly work with ships. Every player has his own customizable ship and the Guild has a Flagship and as a Guild you do "Fleeting" instead of Housing where players can meet with their ships at the Flagship. With Group content you do as a guild the guild can unlock more customizable stuff for the flagship.
I think player housing will come in 12.0 when we go back to Quel'thalas!
Player Housing should be a NEW transmog collection system. You would go out and explore the world... and find scrolls that allow you to add that item to your housing "build" collection. aka... chairs... desks... paintings... beds... etc etc. Items using professions would be able to craft a number of items as well... possibly adding a new handyman profession that can make furniture and whatnot... etc. The interface would allow you to use your collection to add customize your housing as you would like. In addition... the achievements would have a physical option to be displayed in your housing... in some fun "show off" manner.
Guild hall/housing would be a no brainer... and should allow the Guild master and designated officers to decorate the hall. Banners and other indications of what the guild has accomplished could be displayed in a "trophy room".
I personally think that housing is a part of this saga but not The War Within, perhaps Midnight is better suited as where you usually spend your midnight at? In your bed in your house, and seeing that the title of War Within has multiple meanings, makes Midnight more legible for such addition, but also Midnight might end with literal midnight and The Last Titan may start with us getting a housing
Player Housing should just be a player museum. Like the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod from Skyrim. Radiant quests can be transmog fetch quests.
I had the same thoughts as you but my guess is that it comes in Midnight. Silvermoon is top 5 places where people want to live, so a silvermoon revamp with a silvermoon neighborhood would be hype
I really like your Spirit when talking about this its nice to see and hear.
I am kinda in a dark spot in my life right now and this video makes me feel a bit better.
Its nice to just watch a video about a game i have loved for almost all my life now.
I would say not 11.0 feature, they would for sure blast at blizzcon if there ever was a possibility for 11.0 But for midnight 12.0 if your rumors are true. It's possible. It would also keep up the hype for the next blizzcon despite knowing what the expac is about. It would also give possibility (if they went with few possible locations for housing) of giving beside stuff like orgi or stormwind, the Silvermoon housing, since Silvermoon will be possibly remade.
I wonder if they will combine the existing rep each character has. Like if i am revered on 2 characters, will the points be added together? Also... What about competing factions like Scryers vs Aldor? Obvi that's past expansion shit but if everthing is shared then what happens if I go back to those zones?
You're right about the implications of rebuilding the game. But I don't think there is any way they would put player housing in War Within. Player housing is enough of an expansion feature on its own. They don't want to waste the impact they're getting with Warbands. I also envision housing to be their justification for revamping the old world. They are going to refresh all of the zones throughout the expansions for when you pick where you want to live, starting with Quel'Thalas.
I have 2 full servers of alts. I hope the campfire scene goes 360 around the campfire to show most(all?) of my alts
The campfire scene shows 4 characters that you choose. The warband system applies to all characters though, of course.
I would literally be more exited about Drakthir having any expansion to available class options than I could ever possibly be about a slightly more rocky dwarf allied race being added...T_T
Nah, Earthen have been one of the coolest groups in the game for ages & ages. Plus the brief cultural discussion of this particular group of Earthen was really interesting.
That's why Dracthyr are so unappealing to me. They've got no history, no culture, no civilization. They were cooked up in a lab, used in a single battle, then put on ice for tens of thousands years until 5 minutes ago.
@@dr.zoidberg8666 I’m glad you like earthen and I would never take that from you but I don’t care that they exist is a really strong way. It’s like your boss trying to bribe you to not unionize by saying he will give you new office supplies. Omg I don’t care… T_T

background logout at last time - nearby outhouse 🤣
Just imagine Warband PVP - your people vs my people. Lets goooo
What I see first is the Shop button, the fact that it's the first button in the row shows they're likely to try and push for more mtx's
The Backgrounds are being sold in the Store ;)
I never realised that before, but the only character you can play roleplay as is some kind of lone wolf since no character in the game has any relationship with you. You have no friends, no family, you are just an adventuring service provider to the NPCs in WoW. The closest we got were Order Halls where we at least got colleagues.
Since you mentioned having a feeling about player housing, since they won't be announcing a new expansion with wow next year since TWW will have launched by then. Imagine them saying for 10.1 there will be player housing added to the game. It would make a helluva deep dive with them explaining it all.
They should do player housing that's account wide and all your characters hang out in a barracks that you could theme war like or drunken mess hall etc
Honestly as excited and desprate for the possibility of being able to have player housing I equally want the option to give charters last names and its something I can honestly see being an option in the next few expansions
I’d like to see player housing as both guild and individual housing. Players could buy an apartment in a city of their choice (stormwind, silvermoon, dalaran, etc.) and the decorate it out through achievement awards, crafting, boss/NPC kills, whatnot. Inviting someone to your group phases them to come to your house or w/e. Additionally Guild Halls could also offer apartments for guildies and have major open spaces to be decorated for guild activities, achievements, etc.
I want a place in Silvermoon so bad!
I would love guild housing. That would be really cool. You could still have account wide banking which is what I am looking forward to. Having housing is just like having a garrison and that was just meh.
If we ever get actual player housing I hope that our house is a place that we can set our Hearthstone so that when you hearth you hearth directly to your house and while you are there, you get rested experience the same as you would at any Inn. I would assume this would be a given, but this is blizzard we are talking about. Especially if we had the option to not have our house in a capital city.
if player housing comes i hope its like sw the old republic where its just a house that is personal and is just for show off not something that you get resources from or gear
Id like the ability to place my camp anywhere. So my camp background is my favorite place
Will the shared reputations add together beyond multiple paragon levels? Will your alts just be raised to exalted instead? Will they add paragon levels to all the old reps, specifically Darkmoon faire? Checkout player housing for the game, New World. That's what I want for WOW.
I played the hell out of MoP. Theres no way I would have been upset about account wide reps. Thats mental to even believe.
I like the idea of it being "Hardcore" and all, but I have a full time job, other hobbies, and other games I enjoy. There's a lot of great games out there! I love alts and trying all the classes, but the game slaps me in the face with my sub because the game hasn't been built to play how I want. Been playing casually since mop and this and delves are easily the best features they've added since in my opinion.
Ive been thinking this since i heard the deep dive on warbands. Warbands + garrison = your own personal hamlet/house/farm
Level different proffessions on different characrets unlock different areas of the "farm". And achievments and other sources for blueprints.
I would never stop playing if we got player housing.
Okay, but what's player housing gonna do to capital cities? Public spaces are gonna be ghost towns because everyone's cloistered away in their private spaces
I feel like everyone was using the phrase "coming Home" and I thought they would announce player housing for the last patch instead of the fated season.
final fantasy 15 had some awesome campfire scenes with the bros!
I fully expect Warband Garrisons in the future. Place your alts around so they live and work there. Purchasable buildings and locations, craftable furniture, other decorations as drops and trader’s tender purchases. It’d be a great way to monetize the game after it moves free-to-play (with sub option), probably alongside console release or game pass inclusion.
WoW is not moving f2p lol
Folks have been acting like that was a thing since Cata & Blizz have always made it clear that they're not gonna be doing that.
I seriously doubt a console version as well. There's too many addons/keybinds etc to really make it work. While it could get a larger audience, I think putting it on game pass but still PC based would accomplish the same goal.
Now that you mentioned it, I kind of get that feeling too about player housing potentially coming. Because, we're getting the warband's shared bank and such... where better to host it, than your character's own home? Would make sense in a lot of ways.
I wonder if play housing will be personal before you log into the world kind of like a lobby before entering WOW or if player housing would be some sort of phasing garrison/guild house
Thought I was watching Lost Ark when I first saw the character screen and the account-wide progression. Now they just need to put it into Unreal Engine by the end of 2034
Look at the money SWTOR makes from player hours and guild hall / ship decorations. Imagine having a guild hall in every major zone, decorated how guilds want etc...
I just assumed warbands were gonna launch with garrisons lol. Expansion is still a long ways out. Blizz have been making massive moves month to month lately so we never know.
