Typically most paints that are sold in basic department stores so like don’t go to the act CRAFT stores go to like Walmart. Any of the non toxic paints should be safe just make sure they don’t DRY on the pets fur. So like non toxic acrylic paint that is made to be safe for idiots like myself who have accidentally drank my own paint water. This should be ok. I just say don’t go to a craft store bc you could pick up the really high high quality paints which while they are high quality… they can often be high quality bc they have ingredients in them that are extremely toxic to consume or get on your skin. But something from Walmart should be ok for doggy
It is so empathetic to understand not only the humans' stress from a move, but especially Elton's transition to this new home. I agree that a perk of moving can be the gifts that you give yourself in order to set up the new place. BTW even though I am only partially blind, the head bumps into open cabinets and knee hits when someone moves the table slightly (actually I think it was me when I last vacuumed) are real. So happy for you all. Looking forward to the tour.
My Chi and I need to have a long talk about his need for 15 beds in our 1 bedroom apartment. He steals all my pillows but has learned that Mom gets her bed/night pillow. He only has one eating station though.

I feel like if I ever get married again that is what I would love to have as well. I am a very light sleeper and I feel like I would need my own space a few times a week. I wonder if that’s a thing with most blind people I feel like because we have nastiness our brains. Moving can be so stressful and confusing to our animals. I moved with my dog who has generalized anxiety, and to avoid her getting overly stressed she stayed with my parents while I packed, moved, and unpacked, so when she got to the new place it wasn't complete chaos and it smelled and looked like home again. Not everyone is able to do that kind of thing, but it really helped me and I was lucky enough to have the support of my family through it!
My family has a pet cat (different but an animal), and we had to live in 2 hotels (3 rooms) between two places. Poor girl was so scared and stressed out for months

Oh my goodness, gracious, moving and like trying to get all your stuff one place to another box and stuff up and you had stuff all over the place oh it was it was a nightmare.
Oh I feel so bad for your boyfriend. Back problems suck. I have axial Spondyloarthritis. Also called ankylosing spondylitis. But being female I have a lot of peripheral involvement as well. But I’ve had 2 huge back surgeries and I’m going to need a third soon. I now sleep on the highest level “purple mattress.” It is the best mattress I have ever owned.
You can add shelving below the bar as either drawers or opening shelving like the Billy Bookcase. Some of them you could lay horizontally if they were pictured vertically in a space.

Years ago when I moved out of my apartment I moved what my cat considered her bedside table out of the bedroom and as I started carrying it down the stairs she jumped on top of it like she was trying to stop me from taking it
So excited for you, and so glad that Elton is settling in! My service dog gets really anxious about moving, and It's oddly comforting to know that we aren't the only team that has a tough time with moves. Our dogs are incredible, but they aren't robots, and we wouldn't want them to be, but sometimes I need the reminder that we don't have to be absolutely perfect 100% of the time to be valid.

Add in some shelving units with cubbies and put all the tees and leggings and the like into the cubbies and the cubbies boxes. You can have all different colors of boxes and make it look fun, and all your underwear and socks can even go in there. Just make sure you are anchoring furniture to the walls, especially the super tall stuff as this is California and you don't want it falling over on you in an earthquake. Born and raised in California, living in the South and I am sure the Southerners think I am weird anchoring my furniture to walls. That will give you more space for your clothes.

Awww poor Elty!!! We wanted to do an empty walk through with my niece at my brother's old place, but the timing didn't work out. Thankfully she is loving the new place because it has stairs lol. For mom and I, we paid rent through the end of our lease at the end of this month. We have been trying to move things in from their place at the old apartment, to their place at the new house, but still THERE'S SO MUCH STUFF!!!!! LOL. I spent a long time looking at bed reviews and ended up spending thousands on a Saatva Solaire. Worst. Back. Pain. Ever. I finally got them to send a different model, the “classic” instead (we were past the return point) and I find it way too firm (I got the “soft” firm.”) I am convinced the positive reviews are paid for. Hope you like yours, but man do I wish I’d gotten mine for free lol.
You'll definitely need a 2nd bar in the closets. It's bizarre they don't all come with 2, really. Confused about the mismatched bedroom walls. The one the bed is on is light blue, but the other walls are light grey? Do you not have to repaint the walls white when you move out of a rental? I was surprised they let you just leave them all those colors. Elton will be ok in time, poor guy. here's hoping you're settled soon so you don't have to get bruises anymore. So happy for you! The BF sounds so happy too!
Whenever I move my cat and his belongings stay in my old place and I move him and his things last. He always gets anxious when he sees stuff leaving but then when we open his carrier in the new place, he's so curious and happy to see all our stuff! I'm sure it would be so much more confusing without seeing all the stuff leave the old place first. I'm glad Elton came around!
I have had back pain from the time I was a child. I was finally diagnosed with a congenital spinal disorder after decades of sciatica and years after a ruptured disc. I have Bertolotti Syndrome. I always tell people with chronic back pain to get tested for this syndrome, it is very often undiagnosed. Molly's boyfriend should specifically ask about it and get tested (usually an MRI or MRA can diagnose it) by a doctor who knows about this condition.
It could be just the way he was sleeping too. The new bed and especially the side sleeper pillow will probably help immensely. It did me, and I have arthritis in my entire spine.

We got a new one (the firmest I could find) and it was great for me but created back pain in my husband. We had to get another bed for him that was a step down. I’m a stomach sleeper, if it matters.
Be careful with overloading the closets. When I first moved into my husband’s home, I hung all of my clothes. A couple days later I heard a big crash. Yep, it was the closet. 😂

Moving tip! Walk around your house with a box/basket and ask yourself, can I live without this? If the answer is yes, put it in your box/basket. Sort donate and trash. Decluttering saves so much time!! So much less to pack.
My last move was in 2011. I fell down the stairs at the old place and injured myself so bad that i could bsrely walk for weeks. My MIL came in from NY and she's the one who organized my kitchen. Ohhh man i was ticked off but funny thing its still that way. I need to know where th8ngs are and whats going on or I never find things again their just gone. I hate moving.

....Ohmigosh! I. Hate. Moving! I grew up in the house my dad had built back in 1938, and never moved in my life until I got married the first time. Then the moving around began. After my divorce, I bought a condo...All DIY projects until the very last move, to where I am now, with my late husband...and that time, we decided to pay movers to do it. It was a LOT. Cost us $5K, and they were great, but I think they were surprised at how good we were at cramming stuff into places to store...they probably under-bid the job! ....When we moved here, we said we weren't moving again until it was "feet first."
What’s the make of the side sleeper pillows? Asking as I have a really bad back problem, but in the uk have never heard of side sleeper pillows till recently, and I’m wondering as I have to sleep with 2 on my side or if I’m on my back I need 3 behind me, but like molly shows, but with one on top and then one under my legs to support that area too. And I just can’t get good pillows without spend $ hundreds

When I moved to my husband’s house I had bought myself a house. It was so hard to leave. I had a goodbye party for that home before I moved.

Be careful with overloading the closets. When I first moved into my husband’s home, I hung all of my clothes. A couple days later I heard a big crash. Yep, it was the closet. 😂

Every piece of furniture in your new fabulous bedroom is EXACTLY the kind I need and have been dreaming of, but didn't know it existed!!! 😍 I have fibromyalgia, so everything with a hard surface can hurt me...and does. 😫 I clicked the Saatva link, but sadly, they don't sell or deliver to Canada anymore. 🙁 I wonder if the other cute, rounded and padded furniture is available in Canada. My last move was in 2011. I fell down the stairs at the old place and injured myself so bad that i could bsrely walk for weeks. My MIL came in from NY and she's the one who organized my kitchen. Ohhh man i was ticked off but funny thing its still that way. I need to know where th8ngs are and whats going on or I never find things again their just gone. I hate moving.

....Ohmigosh! I. Hate. Moving! I grew up in the house my dad had built back in 1938, and never moved in my life until I got married the first time. Then the moving around began. After my divorce, I bought a condo...All DIY projects until the very last move, to where I am now, with my late husband...and that time, we decided to pay movers to do it. It was a LOT. Cost us $5K, and they were great, but I think they were surprised at how good we were at cramming stuff into places to store...they probably under-bid the job! ....When we moved here, we said we weren't moving again until it was "feet first."
What’s the make of the side sleeper pillows? Asking as I have a really bad back problem, but in the uk have never heard of side sleeper pillows till recently, and I’m wondering as I have to sleep with 2 on my side or if I’m on my back I need 3 behind me, but like molly shows, but with one on top and then one under my legs to support that area too. And I just can’t get good pillows without spend $ hundreds
