Lol, I'm sorry, but did you stretch before making that reach? "This dog" was not a complete terror compared with some of the other dogs we've seen Vanessa groom! She was just behaving like the typical melodramatic Husky! She was moving around a lot, nipping a little at the hose, being vocal... but that is nothing compared to the dogs who have to wear huge muzzles to prevent them from biting! Maybe *you* have a different definition of what a "problem dog" is if you truly believe normal Husky behavior equates to "hating the whole process" and "other groomers MUST have been lying about how good she was".
Next time, just save the rest of us our time and energy, and preface your post with an acknowledgement that you just want to bitch and be judgemental of complete strangers, because that's really what you're doing. You aren't really interested in a conversation, you just want to be nasty.

My mom was a groomer and was told that as well. The idea is that the owner might not take their dog in for another visit if you tell them their dog is behaving badly. The other reason is that the owner may blame the groomer and believe it is the groomer who is bad, not their dog. Let's face it, not all groomers are saints. Some can be impatient and rough. My mom loved dogs and treated them like young children, but she worked with groomers who would get frustrated and yell at the dog or pull them by the leash to "correct" them, etc. From all the stories I heard about grooming salon mishaps and mean groomers, I decided to never get a dog that required pro grooming.

@@mygirldarby People need to start SCREAMING while advocating for behavioral training. It’s absolutely mandatory. It’s not an optional thing. Grooming is a TEAM effort. The owner needs to do their part. The groomer is simply there to perform a service- not go to war to perform said service. I’ve been involved in animal rescue for 33 years and I don’t blame groomers for losing their patience and yelling. Groomer burnout is so real and it’s heartbreaking. Can you imagine a child attacking its hair dresser? The parent teaches the child how to behave….its no different for dog owners. Idk where they genuinely got the idea it’s all up to the groomer to just deal with the dogs bad behavior. I’ve met less than a dozen decent dog owners in 3 decades….seriously a damn shame

@@xobelladonna2443 I completely concur. Dogs are wonderful animals, but I personally have only known a couple of really responsible dog owners in all my life: owners who made sure their dog was well trained, healthy, properly fed and not fat/sickly, etc. and regularly walked/exercised. And I've known MANY dog owners. The worst was one who acquired a neurotic German shepherd who had been neglected and likely abused. She was fearful, mouthy, aggressive and dangerous. I told him that he absolutely had to get her retrained, immediately, or she would bite not only his small stepdaughter but likely a neighbor or their animal, and that when that happened she would lose her life. I used to visit regularly as his wife was my lifelong best friend. I could not visit them for months because of that dog--I couldn't be in the same house with her. She was a terror. He pooh poohed me and refused to deal with the dog properly. Within less than a year she had gotten out, attacked a neighbor, been seized by animal control and euthanized. He refused to admit that he had been wrong and blamed everyone but himself.

We had to keep an eye on him after a bath because at the first opportunity he would go find some dead and decaying animal and roll on it until he was satisfied with his own smell. He knew he had to put up with the bath, but he was extremely vocal about expressing his displeasure. He NEVER got used to it in 15 years.

She did a nice job and I always stayed in the room to keep maggie calm for her. Maggie never bit her but she would be a little nervous and uncooperative. Well one time when I went the groomer wasn't feeling well and really shouldn't have been grooming any dog. Maggie wasn't behaving like she thought she should have and she keep saying she was gonna call the police and report her as a "bad" dog. Then before I knew it she slapped my dog across her head. I was completely speechless I couldn't believe she would do that. I cried all the way home for my sweet Maggie. I don't see you doing that I see your patience for these sweet fur babies. Maybe it’s just me, but I ask my groomer every groom how my dog was and I’d be more offended if she was dishonest with me rather than telling me the truth. When my Mimi started being bad at the groomer, I asked the groomer what I could do at home to help. That’s just good parenting I think. You work at home to make grooming easier for the groomer and the dog in general.

That is a very smart dog. When the groomer's helper was clipped up, and she found she couldn't spin round, the first thing she did was look at the clip to see if she could somehow undo it!

At one point, I thought she’d calm down… by the end, I see a brat… Vanessa, you’re so patient. I honestly can’t tell if you’re naturally this patient, or if grooming made you this way. Either way, you are a saint.

Again, either you have to have the patience of a saint to groom this breed OR, be ok with a less than perfect groom OR love the breed so much you can identify with all the feelings the dog has and basically see the world from the dogs point of view.

I think calling a dog a brat is a little bit wild but huskies are known for being talkative and stubborn.

Loved the little block/tap dance she did during her wash. 😂❤That side eye when you told her to keep the happy hoodie on. 😆The look on her face when you said you were going to use the groomer’s helper. 🤣😂Listen sis, this isn’t your first rodeo with huskies. 😂 When I tried bathing my previous huskies, it was like wrestling a greased rolling alligator.
