  • In today's video we attempt to make Blue Milk from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at home. There was a bunch of different recipes online so we just picked one and hoped for the best. Watch to find out if it was an epic fail or not. Here is everything you'll need to make this recipe:
Galaxy’s Edge Blue Milk - Ingredients:
    1 cup Rice Milk
    2 cups Canned Pineapple
    1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk
    9 drops Blue Food Coloring
    1 cup Watermelon Chunks
1 ½ teaspoons Dragon Fruit Flavoring Drops (or 1/2 cup fresh/frozen Dragon Fruit)
A handful of ice (our addition)
Fine Mesh Strainer (optional - we didn't use one)
Blend all ingredients and serve chilled!

Here is my recipe for blue milk, which I made back in 1977...
In a clear, round glass, mix:
    1 cup milk
2 drops of blue food coloring
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 tsp sugar
Alter to taste. This is how I always imagined blue milk tasting, so from what I've heard, the kind they have on Batuu is very different than what I call the Tatooine version. :-)

I saw the video and contacted some relatives who are friends of many cast members in Disney and they told me that you can try these ingredients
    1 cup pineapple chunks
    1/3 cups of pineapple juice
    3/4 cups coconut milk
    1/3 cups rice milk
    4 tbsp sweetend coconut cream
2 cups of ice or more
6 to 8 drops of blue food coloring
I hope you like the flavor and if you can repeat the video with this recipe I would appreciate it very much

@@OrdinaryAdventures The easiest one I've done is to pour some cream soda in an ice cube tray and blend it with some butterscotch ice cream topping. Pretty tasty and really easy. The whipped topping is the really complicated part to making true butter beer.

    • @dianayvette22
      @dianayvette22 4 года назад +3

I’ve done many of them they all call for vanilla ice cream so I decided to make my own version you blend just ice and cream soda and you add butterscotch sauce or syrup to your tasting and blend again and for the topping whip heavy whipping cream with butterscotch sauce to your taste as well and I think it’s honestly the closest if not the same. 💫💫💫

Kitra, when using food coloring you need to blend the drink and add the drops slowly. For instance, try 2 drops, if it is not the color you desire, then add another drop... do it until you achieve the color you wanted.
Food coloring brands have different concentration, so never go with the number of drops provided by the recipes. #TheMoreYouKnow

I imagine that someone linked or commented on the Butterfly Pea Flower bit since I'm late to the game (I'm catching up!), but... check out Magic Potion tea from David's Tea. It supposedly has some in it. I can't really remember how the blue milk tastes much. The only time we had it was in Oga's with the cookie and I think it really changed my perception of how it tasted. We're the weirdos that preferred the green milk though. I'm convinced guava is the main flavor or that one.

When I first tried the blue milk, I was so disappointed because I was expecting more of a flavored milk, not a fruity slushy. You know like the smooth banana-flavored milk or strawberry milk or even the sweet potato milk that I had in South Korea. I haven't tried the chilled variety at Olga's Cantina yet. I got it from the milk stand where the texture was disgusting because it was partially icy and partially gloopy like pancake batter. And that taste was like melted plastic. I through half of that $8 drink away because I decided it wasn't worth the calories. Then another day I had to try again with the green milk and the flavor reminded me of a fake lime flavor mixed with some pine sol cleaner and sunscreen lotion. So disappointed. What you made was probably better and with the rum maybe an exotic Pina colada.

i haven't had blue milk so I can't comment on the taste. However I think you guys had the strong pineapple flavour because you added the juice from the canned pineapple. Perhaps only add the pineapple chunks. As for the colour and thickness id suggest adding yoghurt. (plain or vanilla)
I wonder why Disney went for a fruity taste.....when imagine what blue and green milk taste like, id feel like it would be a sweeter version of regular milk. Maybe you guys can do a video where you create a recipe based on your own interpretation of what you originally imagined blue and green milk would have tasted like.

Try freezing the pineapple and watermelon. Don't use the pineapple juice. Also use crushed ice. Add the food coloring before the ice. I use
    1 1/2 cup rice milk
    1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 a cup of frozen pineapple.
1/2 a cup of frozen watermelon.
1/2 of a fresh passion fruit or 1/4 cup.
Hope you find the flavor that you are looking for.

My family and I reallllly enjoyed the Satu'li Canteen's menu at Pandora in Animal Kingdom. I had the Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl, with red and sweet potato hash, and charred onion chimichurri to top it off. It was the best meal I ate all week, and really fit in with Avatar and Pandora as the restaurant was themed as an Army Mess Hall. Thanks guys :)

I'd call that a WIN! It's not Disney's blue milk, it's the outer rim version

    140 grams of blueberries
    100ml milk
    120 grams of plain yogurt
    2gram vanilla flavor
    18 grams of fine sugar
Put all ingredients together in a blender and mix until a smooth milk mass is obtained. Then pour the mass through a sieve into the glass and the blue milk is ready. The recipe is from a German Star Wars scrapbook. I don't know if it taste like the Blue Milk from Galaxys edge. But it taste delicous😊

@ordinaryadventures: not even joking, when the video started and I saw Kitra I automatically thought about Kitra's kitchen, then I heard u guys say it and I thought, 'oh well, so long actual good thought'. Just a question tho, but you guys have really made me want to go there NOW (although I can't) but its really expensive, is everything there, in your opinion worth the price?

It is fun you guys have the Kitra's Quarintine Kitchen and Peter Pandemic Bar, love to see more. One thing that I'm curious about is the food that Luke eats in Dagobah... always think it tastes good. Or maybe Yoda's stew? I'll wait for it!
