HI, im going to disney in a few days and it is my dream to go to galacies edge! but sadly galaxy's edge was fully booked 😭😭😭😭💔😓😥, i wish i could do something to get in
@@charlieallen8571 it’s booked all the way up to July there is no getting in you must book and reserve months in advance sorry friend maybe next time :/
Hey If you want to see mubo Or a lot of galaxies edge, and you to have an oculus quest, I suggest getting the game Star Wars tales from galaxies edge. It takes place on actual batuu
My biggest wish is that the two parks were two different planets with different experiences. Then they could have included more of these very different ideas into the two lands.
You gotta wonder if they could find a way to pull this off somehow with an expansion/overlay at one of the two that puts you into Battu but the earliere Mandalorian timeline. Same basic physicality and architecture but different ridefilms/costumes/characters. And Smuggler's Alley, of course 😉
The problem with this is the most expensive part of making the land is the R&D. It’s much much much cheaper to replicate a land and attractions than build two different lands. It’s why you see Disney doing this all the time with attractions rather than have exclusive attractions in each park. That said, I’ve always said that it would have been cool to have the same Batuu planet and attractions in both parks but set in two different time periods, one sequels, one original trilogy. That way you could make it slightly different with basically the same R&D
Yeah, or at least maybe make them two different outposts on the different sides of Batuu. Kind of like how there's Mos Espa and Mos Eisley, there would be BSO and something else like Bright Suns Outpost. They could keep the rides, but tweak them a little. For example, smugglers run can stay since you technically go off planet. Same for Rise of the resistance because it also takes place outside of the outpoast in the secret temple and later outer space.
I love how with every video I get to learn some new things, whether it’s fun facts, Peter telling us something he knows, Kitra’s energy and editing skills and the community that shares the love for Ordinary Adventures. There is so much and that’s why I really enjoy their videos!!!
Ordinary Adventures is my top 3 Vloggers! Both Peter & Kitra sooooo fun, funny, cool and down to earth at the same time! With lots of knowledge too and genuine people.💕💕💕
- They had to change out the TIE fighter (or the shuttle) at the garrison because those big wings would not have handled Florida hurricane winds very well. - Elee, the big Bantha-like creature, was going to be EXTREMELY interactive. She would react to people petting her, for example. And in addition to having a very low capacity, as you mention, they also had the idea that there was no way to wait to ride her. There was no queue. She “selected” who could ride her as she walked around the land. That would be tough to implement, of course. Many children (and Kitra!) would be heartbroken if they weren’t selected. - The alien street performers may still happen. They had to be cut when the project went over budget. Those performers have to be paid actor salaries, so they don’t come cheap.
Didn’t know that about the tiefighter, although not knowing any engineering I bet they could have made it structurally sound to withstand a hurricane. I don’t understand how Elee would have possibly worked. People would have just been chasing it all day hoping it would pick them for a ride. I hope the aliens come someday

I'd like to see a "miniature" land expansion, perhaps in the empty lot behind Oga's, where they add the Smuggler's Alley and Spice Den. It could have one little shop or a stall and finally make use of that big door just beside the cantina. Edit: It would also be cool if they could make a larger expansion in Florida, similar to the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, where there's two lands and a travel system. Instead of the Hogwarts Express, they could utilize the creature attraction and have it drop you off at the stables. Then you'd be free to explore a more substantial Smuggler's Alley complete with a Spice Den and Swoop Bike Races. I doubt they'd do anything this extravagant though, since they're already putting in the Starcruiser.
Just discovered this channel and its awesome. Im from Chile and in February 2020 I went to Galaxys Edge and I bought that T-Shirt that you're wearing for my Father. Sadly he passed away in 2021 but he was so happy when I gave it to him and seeing you with it got me emotional. Keep it up guys you're an awesome couple!
@@OrdinaryAdventures True. But even you admit that it makes you a bit sad seeing how close some of those ideas came to reality. That had a working prototype of the ride-on Bantha, and the stunt show was shown during the media preview event.
I was at the media preview and saw the stunt show. That stunt show was definitely not something planned for the park, it felt thrown together for that one night and doesn’t reflect any of the concept art. I do think they could eventually do more entertainment, post pandemic, and I hope they do. But I don’t think what we saw at the media event was what was originally planned and I’m not sure many of the concepts in this book were so close to happening. Even the creature ride was abandoned after they announced stuff but years before they opened the land.

Creepy back alley, with the explorers shop, wow. Can but dream. I do like the travel shop with local souvenirs, I always find something I seem to suddenly need in there.
I cried back when this whole park was a concept still and was so excited to see it come to life. I really was hoping that the Empire Shuttle would have gone up, but I like the look overall. Hope to go sometime next year. The possibility to ave more creatures and droids roaming around I feel still could be possible.
My daughter, Emma, has to go to school as her favorite character/celebrity, and she decided she's going to wear her Ordinary Adventures shirt, her mini backpack with Grogu on it, with sunglasses, to go as Kitra.
This book is amazing and kept wanting to see all of this come to fruition. It’s hard for that park to expand with all the major roads it has in between it.
They have an expansion pad to the right of smugglers run and I think they could expand to the left if they ever wanted to replace Pooh (in Disneyland this is)
Cool stuff! Agree that “Nocturn Alley” should also be a secret passage to Sabi’s workshop. And yeah, love the idea of a Flight of Passage-type ride, but on speeder bikes (or pod racers).
Haha! The slow zoom to Pixel. 😂 Also, Kitra I just found that shirt on Etsy and ordered myself one! It just needs a Stitch on it and it would literally be the perfect shirt! ♥️
The speeder bike ride in the format of Flight of Passage would be so sweet. Also a sit down restaurant with bounty hunters and other characters would be cool.
I remember shortly after they announced they would build a "Star Wars Land" way back when, I had heard about the Kalikori Club from a couple of my friends. And when my friends told me about that, I said, "When are casting calls? I'm gonna be a Twi'lek dancer now!" And my friends just laughed at me because I'm a school librarian. xD I wanna go to Galaxy's Edge sooooo bad! Haven't been yet, but someday! Maybe by the time I go, they can revisit the tailor shop idea, because I would LOVE something like that!
I was really interested to hear about where there's space to potentially add to Galaxy's Edge! Something like street performers would be really cool and relatively easy to add at a later date. I would have loved a "petting zoo" area with puppet/animatronic creatures guests could interact with (maybe not petting, as I'm sure that would mean a ton of wear and tear), and the sketchy alley would have been fun. Elee would be amazing, but the logistics are definitely tough. It seems like rather than a traditional attraction, you'd probably have to select guests at random for rides (I feel like at one point they did that for interactive parade elements?), but I love the idea that people could pet and interact with her while she was walking around.
In the Before Times, how many days would you recommend spending at Galaxy’s Edge? I’m trying to plan a trip for after the pandemic. Great video, by the way!
I think it will happen someday. Remember because of the pandemic most people haven’t had the chance to visit batuu yet so I’m not sure they feel it’s necessary yet.
This totally jives with my feelings upon first seeing Galaxy's Edge, in that there was a lot of "infrastructure" in place that (if you can ignore the people) you can almost feel like you were somewhere else. But I think there was pressure to keep both park size and more importantly, the COST down. That being said, I hope they do not exhibit such restraint on the upcoming Halcyon experience.
You guys should really try tales from the galaxys edge on the Oculus Quest 2! Mubo, the owner of Droid Depot is even in it! He looks just like the concept art. Also, on Friday they announced the next update will have Dok Ondar in it
These books are so awesome to look at!!! I think you could still have some of those items slipped in. Like, take that wandering musician, and have him serenade from that top apartment up the stairs. DCA(pre pandemic) had the small quick grab shop w fruits and veggies there could still be a quick grab cart at certain times of the day. Am breakfast style, pm lunch style.
As non Cali residents, I think it will be 2022 until we get to check out Galaxy's Edge, so looking forward to it. Fun video because you guys know so much about DL & DW Batuu
The building across from Oga's has a lot of undeveloped interior space (currently used as retail storage) that could be used as one or two shops/experiences. One is a round room with a very high domed ceiling (like Dok Ondar's), and the other is a square room with a tall ceiling.
I feel they bit off more than they could chew when they realized the size constraints of the land and they wouldn't be able to make it AS immersive as they had planed so they sacrificed A LOT of interactive features like extra characters, a show, a restaurant, more smaller areas within the land, etc
We need the Space Melons and Pickles🤣🤣 I love the artwork. Although I’ve not been yet, I’ve watched all your vids and it is a shame some of the ride ideas never made it.
I think the creature stuff would have been amazing. Seeing a rancor would have been amazing. Feel like adding some anamatronic animals wouldn't be that hard either.
I think in some ways having Batuu set towards the end of the skywalker saga time line is a great way unintentionally to stay relevant as they dig into expanding clone wars, and classic trilogy productions. Those are legendary points in history for the galaxy, so you can pack the references in without breaking the world. The toymaker shop making all those wooden character dolls is a great example. I almost think you could bring the razor crest into batuu, it would just be cannonicly a lot older ship, and not exactly the one that blew up, maybe jokeingly they replaced a lot of parts. I agree it needs more outdoor activities. Like the rumored bantha ride that Kitra would love.
Oh we agree, I think setting it in the sequel era was the smart way to go. I think the razor crest would be far too big to fit in the current space but I’d love to see it but honestly if they did, by the time it was built it would be far less relevant as Mando will probably have a new ship
Smuggler's Alley could be the place where they sell alcohol. And the moment I heard 'Alkatraz', the first thing to pop in mind was 'Star Wars themed escape room'. And Renfaire-esque quests would be just so awesome. (And stormtroopers who are a little better at improvising their lines.)
Only having been to Batuu one time right before 2020 I was overwhelmed by everything.....we made 3 trips in one day to see everything but we still couldnt....hopefully when we go back I'll look at the stuff more in details.......cool book & art🥰🥰🥰
So awesome! I would love to see them expand Galaxies edge.. I think 2 more sections are a must..... Mandalorian and the original Star Wars series up to Return of the Jedi ( and including Rogue One) sooo many cool things they could add. We can only hope and dream!
18:06 I like how the movie “Gremlins” was the inspiration for Doc Ondars. If only someone had made Star Wars movies or TV shows that the imagineers could have drawn inspiration from instead…
I actually work here at night and see the park in a whole special way but this book shows so much possibilities that I would love to implement throughout the park
I'm so glad you guys made this video! Saw this book advertised to me the other day and was very intrigued! So happy I got to flip through the book with the two of you! Just purchased through the affiliate link. 🙃
In the book, Galaxy's Edge Black Spire, I seem to recall a secret way into Oga's office, so I second the idea of a Smuggler's Alley or alternative entrance to Oga's. I'd definitely like to see more immersive opportunities like that along with more datapad experiences...something with a tangible "reward" upon successful completion of a level, too (I'd be happy even with a limited production of something cheap!)
As cool as that sounds I think a second entrance into the cantina is probably a logistical nightmare, unless the replicate another version of the cantina and you’re made to think you’re in the same one
Who knows maybe we will get some of these concepts later! That would be cool, and the tree would have been awesome. Can't wait to see the tree of life one day!
More food carts please! There is so much space between ronto roasters and rise of the resistance that would be PERFECT for carts or character meet and greets.
Oh my god i just got to go to hollywood studios today and i way beyond blown away i thought i was prepaired with watching your videos but it was more than i could have dreamed and yes i got to go to savis and i pulled a kitra and cried
Excuse the Pun , but some of that concept artwork is truly out of this world , but we can understand the reasons behind why Batuu is the way it is . Keep up the awesome vlogs and hope you both are feeling better 👍
I would love to get elee and the Alien-Species Zoo. They could just push up the price for a elee ride so it’s crazy high and only a core target group of Star Wars fans would be interested in doing the elee tour. Also since it would only allow so few ppl to ride on it, it would have to be expensive to cover the expenses to implement elee and the zoo into galaxy’s edge. Besides the zoo should be the focus. Also the zoo would have a lot of room and the crowd probably wouldn’t be too bad for a change (in comparison to Oga’s, Rise of the Resistance, referring to the long wait times).
I love you guys! You two are hilarious!!! GF and I heading to DT Disney this Sat … maybe we will see you guys if you go? I totally agree with you guys in these concept pieces. I want that book!
@@OrdinaryAdventures hey guys… so update … the dark saber IS NOT sold outside the park at the Star Wars trading post… only at batuu… if I only knew a couple of people that had passes that I could give money to to get it for me… hmmm 🤔… GF and I chow on down sandwiches at The Earl! Full Montecue!!! Yum!
and when they announced Galaxy's Edge would be a thing, i said on somebody's video's comments that i wanted a landspeeder ride that would go around the park i guess on a track and the outer rim of the park would all be desert landscape like Tatooine ,
I believe that the rarthtar concept evolved into the worrt in ogas because in the Jabba juice it says worrt eggs are in there and there’s a worrt in a tank in ogas cantina
At the veggie cart they could do smoothies. OR! They could do like those illusion chocolates, where something would look like a food/veggie from Star Wars but when you'd bite into it, it would be chocolate.
The Imagineers ideas seemed to be bigger than the budget, or reality, would allow. I remember the interactive 'choose your own adventure' idea that never materialized, but I still can't wait to check out Galaxy's Edge.
Hearing Kitra talk about a chill ride, reminded me of the first time my wife and I saw "star wars biome flyovers" on Disney+. Might have messed the name up. But i would love if the implemented that into the soaring ride. Thoughts?

Oh we agree, I think setting it in the sequel era was the smart way to go. I think the razor crest would be far too big to fit in the current space but I’d love to see it but honestly if they did, by the time it was built it would be far less relevant as Mando will probably have a new ship
Instead of a themed area, they would have needed to build an entirely new Park just for this
Ha true
@@OrdinaryAdventures remember that star wars theme park concept that was floating around a while back? That is what should have happened
Would all be so cool!
Only having been to Batuu one time right before 2020 I was overwhelmed by everything.....we made 3 trips in one day to see everything but we still couldnt....hopefully when we go back I'll look at the stuff more in details.......cool book & art🥰🥰🥰
Yeah it takes almost a full day to be able to do it all. And you still miss details
If they add the Kalikori club, I would want Figrin Da'an and the Modal Nodes to perform there.
I'd love a Smuggler's Alley! Bladerunner meets Star Wars!!!
I think Galaxy's Edge needs to incorporate something from the clone wars into the land.
I agree because the prequel/clone wars era is my fav Star Wars era
So awesome! I would love to see them expand Galaxies edge.. I think 2 more sections are a must..... Mandalorian and the original Star Wars series up to Return of the Jedi ( and including Rogue One) sooo many cool things they could add.
We can only hope and dream!

I like how the movie “Gremlins” was the inspiration for Doc Ondars.
If only someone had made Star Wars movies or TV shows that the imagineers could have drawn inspiration from instead…
I’d love to see that
I would of loves the idea of the smugglers alley that would lead to the sit down Twileck restaurant.
That would have been cool. Who knows, maybe it could still happen someday
The one I'm most disappointed they haven't done is a Speeder Bike ride. That would have been extremely cool.
That could’ve been cool
I actually work here at night and see the park in a whole special way but this book shows so much possibilities that I would love to implement throughout the park
😊🙌
I'm so glad you guys made this video! Saw this book advertised to me the other day and was very intrigued! So happy I got to flip through the book with the two of you! Just purchased through the affiliate link. 🙃
Enjoy!
I would have loved a speeder bike ride! It could have been set up like Hagrid's ride at Islands of Adventure :)
Agreed!
Posting on a Monday to get us through the week. 🙏
😃
I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for making this covid thing a bit happier for me!! Can’t wait to go to Disneyland
Awww thanks for watching
Yeah never say never.
I hope you both are feeling better today and I would love a table service restaurant or an animal ride.
We are, thanks
They should consider an aquarium of Star Wars underwater creatures
That would be soooo cool
@@OrdinaryAdventures That would be so heavy on the animatronics.
Bright suns, I really enjoyed this video. Kitra made me laugh out loud with her. This video is another reason I love your Ordinary Adventures 👍😎🌈🤣
Thanks Victoria!
Hope you guys are feeling better
We are thanks for asking
More food carts please! There is so much space between ronto roasters and rise of the resistance that would be PERFECT for carts or character meet and greets.
That’s a great idea
Oh my god i just got to go to hollywood studios today and i way beyond blown away i thought i was prepaired with watching your videos but it was more than i could have dreamed and yes i got to go to savis and i pulled a kitra and cried
Glad you had an amazing time
A shop with a former Trandoshan bounty hunter, Bossk? That would have been cool
Yup
Thank you Kitra and Peter. This is awesome I ❤️ Star Wars.
Thanks Victor, glad you enjoyed it
Concept art looked great, I would just love to see Galaxys Edge in real life... one day, very soon!
Someday
The art looks good where did you guys get the book ?
You can get it on Amazon, link is in the description
Thanks, such a interesting book . Loved the different concepts . Hope to get to ‘The spires ‘ one day! ❤️
You will! The force will make it happen
I agree with Kitra I really want to see smugglers alley
🙌
OH MY THAT ART BOOK LOOKS INCREDIBLE...!
It’s great!
Excuse the Pun , but some of that concept artwork is truly out of this world , but we can understand the reasons behind why Batuu is the way it is .
Keep up the awesome vlogs and hope you both are feeling better 👍
Thanks Mike
I would love to get elee and the Alien-Species Zoo. They could just push up the price for a elee ride so it’s crazy high and only a core target group of Star Wars fans would be interested in doing the elee tour. Also since it would only allow so few ppl to ride on it, it would have to be expensive to cover the expenses to implement elee and the zoo into galaxy’s edge. Besides the zoo should be the focus. Also the zoo would have a lot of room and the crowd probably wouldn’t be too bad for a change (in comparison to Oga’s, Rise of the Resistance, referring to the long wait times).
I would love that
That sentient octopoid/squidoid mixologist reminds me of the animated octopus barkeep in the Ink And Paint Club in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"
Oh ya
I saw what you saw Kitra with the castle! Neat book and ideas
Thanks Kristin
I love you guys! You two are hilarious!!! GF and I heading to DT Disney this Sat … maybe we will see you guys if you go? I totally agree with you guys in these concept pieces. I want that book!
I’m not sure we will be there Saturday but have a blast
You are correct and that’s probably how they just instead decided to put the rathtar in carbonate in the exit of smugglers run
At the veggie cart they could do smoothies. OR! They could do like those illusion chocolates, where something would look like a food/veggie from Star Wars but when you'd bite into it, it would be chocolate.
Some good ideas
Oooh I have this book preordered, hopefully shipping at the end of the week. Can't wait to read it.
Enjoy! It’s awesome
Yeah...I'm with you... I want the Smuggler's Alley! That would be an excellent tie-in with the interactive experience coming with the Halcion.
💯🙌
It would’ve been cool if that star destroyer concept could’ve been a hotel instead of the galactic space cruiser.
Maybe one day they will make a hotel too
I really hope we get that immersive sit down restaurant at Disneyland
Same
The Imagineers ideas seemed to be bigger than the budget, or reality, would allow. I remember the interactive 'choose your own adventure' idea that never materialized, but I still can't wait to check out Galaxy's Edge.
💯
Hearing Kitra talk about a chill ride, reminded me of the first time my wife and I saw "star wars biome flyovers" on Disney+. Might have messed the name up. But i would love if the implemented that into the soaring ride. Thoughts?
That would be fun
Can we not all agree someone needs to build a hole city just based of Star Wars
This is cool! I have never seen a book on concept art for a theme park or a portion of a theme park.
They’ve done stuff for classic attractions like the Haunted Mansion
Woulda loved that Twi'lek dinner show, would love to see more Aliens running around that park because it's so basic
Agreed
Hopefully they revisit some of these ideas in the future
I’m sure they will
