I know it's a minor thing, but one thing I really like about the story is that is gives a believable reason for why your character is "so good with pokemon" even amongst these seasoned adults: they're from the present day of this world where pokemon catching has been a staple for hundreds of years. Meanwhile pokeballs are so new in this time are so new that hardly anyone can use them properly, or even approach pokemon for that matter. It's a much better plot than "you're the main character/ special child".

My theory is they are the diamond pearl protagonist and had their memory wiped but their instincts with Pokemon remain.
True. The people are even scared of us at first glance because we came out of nowhere wearing strange cloths and for some reason better with pokemon. They have a hard time grasping our nature, slowly but sure they accept us and ask us specifically pokemon related favors because we make it look so easy.
We came from a time that not having a pokemon partner is weird, and the concept established hundreds of years ago, the locals make use of it without knowing we are actually from the future.
Yeah, it seems that your main character, whoever you chose, is a Fallen from the future, that lost their memories but retained their experience, ability and instinct from the present day. Seems that for some reason, Arceus enjoys ripping people from their home and time and dropping them when and wherever he feels like.
Also by doing this, he completely screws up the canon timeline. Kurt created the Pokeball in the modern era and Oak was the very first person to develop the concept of the Pokedex. This means, in the original timeline, these settlers, even if they tried creating their own Pokedex, would have all died in their attempt and the dream with have been lost for centuries.
But now, since you're completing it for them, you're basically taking that dream away from Oak and Kurt, the founding fathers of the current age by preforming their dream, hundreds of years before they're even born. That's really messed up and kinda trippy. Even worse, this may actually just be one of the countless alternate dimensions in the Pokemon Multiverse too so Arceus ripped you from the core universe, dropped you in this alternate one and completely messed with the timeline of that reality.

The fact that Pokémon writes down Kricketune's cry as what fans do, "De-le-le-wooooop!" is amazing, it is something that I never knew I needed.
They fact that they made that reference not once but TWICE is absolutely hilarious and perfect.
In terms of you wondering about Luxio's size compared to Bibarel, it actually looks like Pokemon are TO SIZE here. Like Luxio is 2'1'' Bibarel is 3'3'' but that's on its hind legs. On all fours, it seems to be around the same size of a regular ole beaver. Makes sense.
It may also be because of the size variants in this game, but you do make a good point!

@@aurarip7t81 I don't think so - Bibarel is usually depicted sitting up on its hind legs, while Luxio is only ever drawn on all fours. I think it's reasonable to guess that Bibarel's height is more of a representation of its length because of it typically being in a sitting up position.

@@EJ_hobbies I think you misunderstood - I agree that Bibarel is measured by length, since it's height would be it's height if it were standing on two legs. It went from usually standing on two legs to standing on 4 in the jump to 3D, but the length is still the same.

The strange/cool thing about this game is it’s the first time you really see NPCs fear Pokémon and the game makes you feel it too. This has to be the closest thing to Pokémon living in our world.

This could be the ORIGIN STORY for Team Sky. Sort of a self-fulfilling prophest time loop thing where the team sky leader from the future comes back and sets the foundations for the team as it will be in the future, therefore inspiring himself to become the leader of team sky as a kid.
I just realized something: with Legends Arcoos adding in new evolutions and regional forms, Michael's probably gonna need to update a lot of his Then vs Now videos to get them up to date
I cannot wait for him to see Gyarados flying in the overworld. I was blown away then immediately laughed. Pokemon proved Mikey wrong! Gyarados can fly!

Edit: When I did the Kleavor battle, I didn't know how to send in the Pokemon and I actually won first try w/ just throwing things at it

I was hunting Eevee for like 30 minutes with no luck, and as soon as I put Mikey on, she spawns 🤩 can’t be a coincidence right?
I'm still hunting for a shiny female eevee. Probably stupid to try for it instead of just enjoying the game, but I will not falter!

The double hit got me too! Also if you go a certain way, there's a snorlax blocking a path. Don't go near it though, it'll hyperbeam your ass.

I was planning to hide in the grass and throw a heavy ball when it got close, but it was level 40 and I had already ko'd the alpha parasect (on accident) so I super overleveled my team for the main story I didn't like that. And the exp is auto on for the whole team which I mean I wish I had the option to turn it off

Had to go to my mom on the day of despite pre order
I begged my mom for this game and she thankfully got it for me!
I have beat the game on day zero because I was the lucky people who got the leaked copy
I ended up being underleveled for Kleavor’s fight (my strongest was 14) and seeing Michael being a somewhat overleveled and getting the same treatment was both funny and terrifying
I’ve been wandering around too much to know but what level is Kleavor?
I was on the other hand was way overleveled. I was already level 35 before this bc I loved exploring and doing all the requests. Makes me kinda want to switch my team out to weaker ones for temporary

And I don’t have else planned for my team, I have an Eevee I plan to be a Leafeon. And maybe a Garchomp and Hisui Braveary. I want Zoroark but I heard you can’t get Zorua until the last area
@@regulusking4299 adrive has a good compilation video recently that covers what can be found in what area if you want to check that out. I’m very jealous of your eevee though. I’ve yet to find that one and basically am just trying to find that one before Kleavor. No luck yet though. There is the mossy rock over close to where Kleavor is, if you haven’t found it yet for Leafeon. I found it this morning when searching for a female combee. Just don’t go too far or you’ll run into an alpha lopunny.

@@ojehchildren3555 There are 5 lord pokemon, which are (spoilers) Kleavor Lilligant Arcanine Electrode and Avalugg. You could also do the same thing with all 5 rideable pokemon instead of the lords
@@migo1559 thank you for explaining, I was also thinking to include the Starter since they would be considered a Lord to your character, Lord of Prelude, a new beginning for your character in this new world
@@JM-dr4kj I wasn't fully convinced if the protagonist would fit as a warden but the name sold it for me, Lord of Prelude sounds amazing. Seriously though, remember that lords and wardens are a different relationship from trainers. They are more like a deity to them, and the warden's job is to keep them healthy basically. And most importantly, they descend from the "almight Sinnoh"'s partners

You get your starter, for this I’m gonna have to choose Samurott since none of the Lords are water type, and you play through the main story and until the Superboss, I won’t spoil it
Plus a limitation I’m putting on, you can’t use any other Pokémon until you beat the lord, so until I beat Kleavor I can’t use anyone else on my team, after beating Kleavor I’ll be able to catch Scyther, so on and so forth, same for if you do the Ride Pokémon, until you get that ride Pokémon you can’t use any of the Pokémon until to get them as the rides
Whatever other rules you want to add are fair game as long as you follow the main ones
1. No using any other Pokémon
2. Once you beat a Lord(Lady for Lilligant) you can use them
Same if you choose to use the ride Pokemon, until you unlock them you can’t use any of their line
3. The main goal is to beat the Superboss in the post game, and if you so choose, the final boss as well
I think I would love the evolution animation even more if the vortex involved their main type, like grass type has leaves and fire types are covered in flames
I really like how it gives you a solid 5 second where you can only see a silhouette of the pokemon to give extra exitement

When I fought Kleavor, my immediate reaction was to dodge behind the giant tree in the centre. He kept dizzying himself every time he charged into the tree and I just pelted him with the food and ran back behind the tree. Made the fight insanely easy. I had no idea you could battle the frenzied Pokémon until the Lilligant fight lol.
I was a bit iffy about watching this since I haven't started the game yet, but after seeing all this, I am GLAD that I did. Knowing all this ahead of time is going to be massively helpful.
For anyone fighting kleavor, hide behind the tree, he bonk and you can fight, also he's level 18

You should really look up the mass outbreaks technique. You can find a lot of pokemon at once and find more common shinies

6:15 The reason for that is based on your base speed. Since Pikachu is faster than Rowlet, it always attack first.

I just thought I would mention that because of the game’s nature of being somewhat grindy, I actually managed to get a shiny starly while killing some wurmples. If there is any game you can get a full odds shiny on your play through is has to be this one.

Double hit has changed, it now boosts your next move by 50 i think, so u could use agile style Double hit and another hitting move, maybe in strong style to make it devastating.
This game answers many questions I've had about the pokemon universe, such as the move minimize being weird and how a pokeball works. It never occurred to me that the two are connected, but it makes sense.
Your reactions pretty much match all of mine so far, I'm enjoying the hell out of PLA so far. Also, I keep expecting Grunty Boy to jump the shark and get tiresome, but I'm still laughing every time he pops up, A+ ad reads every time
I had my hopes up for this game, but my god they were blown wayyy past that. Genuinely a fantastic game, 11/10 would recommend to anyone interested

I've been playing this game so much and I'm quite far. In one of the areas there is a level 50 alpha Walrain. I was going around to get points for my star rank when I noticed it was pink. I had also swapped out most of my team for some pokemon that I needed to complete. Through a lot of testing and stress, I learned that I could go to base camp, heal my team, swap my team, go back... And spend the next 2 hours trying to catch it with my team of 30s. I did catch it. Now I have a pink walrain
This was so fun to watch! Cant wait for part 2!
I was just watching Moxie2D Part 1 Legends Nuzlocke, and people have already said Legends is next to the Alola Games in terms of how difficult it is to nuzlocke. And to that, I say, ballsy to nuzlocke a game that release yesterday where you can die in the game.

My theory, is us getting sent back in time, is what causes a WHOLE SHIFT in the timeline-think Flashpoint Paradox. Change one thing, BOOM whole new timeline. And there's IN UNIVERSE CONFIRMATION of multiple timelines. Ones where we don't exist, where the evil teams win, one where there's no mega-evolution, thus perhaps no z-moves, or gigantamax.
Us going back in time, is what CAUSES things like mega-evolution, gigantamax, z-moves to exist. The people of Hisui aka Ancient Sinnoh didn't have a CLUE of how pokemon worked. Akari asks how Pikachu is able to fire electricity, when we in the future, know by studying them it holds electricity in its sacs on its cheeks. Thus by us going back in time, is what causes the people to want to learn more and more about Pokemon. Thus leading to all sorts of crazy things like the DNA fusion in black white, and other mechanics.

Btw, moves work differently in this game. Double Hit, for example, doesn’t do damage but your next attack will deal 50% more damage.
This game seems pretty fun, and i am picking Rowlet as well when i get the game, because Decidueye's my favorite starter Pokemon, and Hisuian Decidueye looks pretty sweet imo.

I also like hisuian decidueye and I’m sad not that many people like it. I like typhlosion and samurott as well but I like how they did decidueye. Definitely the opposite of ruined in my eyes, way cooler than people think. (Maybe not stat wise but I just think it’s so amazing)
I've played through legends using rowlet to decidueye and I can definitely say he has a really good move pool and can be either a physical or special sweep as well as have natural recovery from your moves
But typing wise with everything you encounter rowlets is the best choice
