The next Champion Orange playthrough should be him ending up sent back in time to Hisui, but he thinks he's at some kind of historical reenactment camp and everyone is just *really* dedicated to the part, before slowly realizing he's actually trapped back in time.

When you say "genwunner" are you refering to someone who started back in Gen 1? Or someone who dislikes all later generations after Gen 1?
Cuz technically, I am from Gen 1 and hold a lot of biased nostalgia toward it. But I also like all the newer Generations. Even some of the less liked ones, like Trubish, Vanillite and Klink.
I think it would be hilarious to see Orange in Galar. Constantly getting undermined by the npcs to do the important things with, "just focus on your challenge", and "nah, we don't recognize you as a previous champion, but the current one will give you a letter to give it a shot".

His rival would be "the youngest champion" of the region, he would have to help someone who is relative to the Professors (like Blue), and seeing him reacting to the BS the previous school staff did trying to erase the bullying / operation star would be so fun.

Mikey's storytelling and acting is amazing. Being a parody of genwunners without necessarily being abrasive to either side is an accomplishment. Of course, Orange is still arrogant, but not gratingly so.
Orange does somewhat adapt to Alola's mechanics, albeit slowly, after being in retirement for 20 years, still being salty towards Blue. He needs therapy and someone to show him how much he missed in the Pokemon World slowly, to at least have him be less of a genwunner.
I certainly hope he'll learn more about Fairy Type Pokemon in Kalos first.

That last little bit about therapy, imagine Orange, Grunty Boi, Mikey, Team Sky, and Team Night Sky all going to go group counseling sessions.
Since this new character is, essentially, a genwunner, it would've been real funny to see him use a psychic type (because it was so op in gen 1) and be SHOCKED that ghost types are super effective against psychic now

I’m starting a petition for Team Sky to venture into Unova. It’s honestly a perfect next step on his journey as a…team. The towns and cities are named after clouds, there’s such a diverse cast of flying types in the region, and I think his interactions with Team Plasma could allow him to grow more as a character!

Okay, I love this! For many reasons! First, 39:40. Very few people actually know about this, so it’s great to see it. Second, your nod to Team Sky, and how that Mikey WILL be upset by the Ultra Wormholes (27:04). Third, your nods to the postgame. Hope Orange won’t freak out too much by seeing his old successors again.

Berries are quite hard to get in fire red and leaf green, and there are a few double battles in fire red and leaf green, so it would make sense. Also, the occa berry was introduced in gen 4
@@desktop-ini fair point about the occa berry, but he should still know about berries. He doesn't say he doesn't recognize the occa berry, he says he didn't eat berries, period. Plus, out of all the Kanto games (in which Blue was champion, therefore not including Let's Go), the majority don't include double battles.
@@unitds27-delta I forgot that the elite four and champion have sitrus berries on their aces. There are a few trainer classes who battle you in double battles however, such as the crush kin and twin trainer class.
Does anyone want to see Michael play DnD? His ability to play characters and stick to them is unbelievable and I personally would LOVE to see a campaign with him and PM7 sometime in the future.

I feel like all these themed playthroughs are the spiritual successors to Pokemon Talk. They really showcase Mikey's talent for creating hilarious characters and dialogue. I laughed so hard at so many points of this video. They never fail to entertain!
i laughed at the "shiny grimer" part, but it actually makes sense. alolan grimer is literally just taking shiny grimer and adding teeth, so it is not only funny because of the genwunner personality, but because it actually makes sense.
Yeah, I agree! Grunty Boi is basically Squirtle, he has the same voice and same goofy behavior. It's so sad that Mikey stopped making Pokémon Talk, but at least he's creating new characters like these which are as funny as the ones in PT.

I love the choice of Orange because it’s the complimentary color of blue (whom he has the most hate towards) which means they’re on opposite ends of the color wheel. Possibly unintentional but I like it

At one point, I didn't play pokemon for about 8 or 9 years, and please believe this is exactly how it went for me in gen 8. I had no idea what was going on.

After proving himself I think Orange should relax and go on a world tour. I heard of this great place called Galar that apparently also has some kind of big pokemon. They're pretty strict at border control so he might have to leave his team behind but apparently there's lots of pokemon there that'll remind him of home. One weirdo even said the legendary birds are there but I don't think so, he said Zapdos runs around on the ground which is ridiculous and clearly Orange already caught it, but either way it sounds like a nice place. At least there shouldn't be any world ending threats occurring.

Can confirm, galarian here, border control is so strict when my friend came to visit me they had to keep his shiny gengar in a locked pokeball for the entire week.

This nonsensical backstory is pretty funny.

You know, maybe being Champion just isn't for Orange. I mean every time it happens, he just gets it taken by a little kid. Maybe he'd do better in a job that's a little lower-stakes. Like, a job where you still battle trainers and win most of the time, but one loss doesn't result in you being fired. Maybe something like, I don't know... a gym leader?

As someone that just recently got Violet and last played Gold when it was new, I loved all the "back in my day" comments. 😂 This is also the first video I'm watching on this channel, and it definitely got a like and sub!
I honestly don't have a good reason why, but I put this video on when I'm having a hard time sleeping. Something about it is just really nice to listen to, and makes falling asleep so much easier (it's not a boring video, my brain just likes it!)
