I picked them because they look like mini reindeer! I'm going to build a sled looking Christmas cart and teach them to pull (drive). I want to give free Christmas rides to the little kiddos in my little town in Oregon! I will also teach them these tricks so I can do little petting zoo and short circus act on my farm! How fun! @@StacyAlan77 what I did when they were babies is just train the one that took to it soonest because he always remembered even as he grew bigger that when I stuck my hand out and said shake he would give me his hoove. What I did was just continue to lift and place his hoove in my hand right after I held out treats to his face I'd swiftly place his hoof in my hand say shake excitely and give it a quick shake with treats in my other hand. His hoof was still in my hand shaking mine while I fed him treats with other hand. Eventually all I had to do was hold out my hand. He learned this trick faster than dogs learn tricks lol

    I'm excited watching your videos. I have a goat kid 4 months old but she likes Biting anyone or anything around her. I've done the Calcium Leaks hoping to stop the behavior but still in vain.
    How can I get rid of the bad behavior?

    • @StacyAlan77
      @StacyAlan77  10 месяцев назад

      I honestly haven't heard of calcium leaks before so I'm not sure exactly how to respond. I do know that too much calcium can cause issues like stones in the bladder and urethra (I actually just had a goat undergo surgery for this). So if youre adding calcium in some way, it may be unhealthy in the long run.
      As far as her biting, is she nibbling to play / for attention or is it more of an agressive bite?

    • @josephinekarwitha7439

    I am not sure you check these comments anymore, but I just watched video and I loved it! And I had a question. When you were introducing your goats, two of them had broken horns. I am new to goats, I have three. And I was wondering when their horns broke off did it leave a hole to their brain? Lol I just heard that and wondered if it was true. What did you do to keep it from getting infected?

    • @StacyAlan77
      @StacyAlan77  Год назад +1

      Thank you, yes I have had issues with horns breaking off. Lily and Buttercup both broke their horns off part way. On both of them, the outside hard part is what broke off and it left the core. They call that “degloved”. When a horn becomes degloved, it will grow the hard casing once again, but probably won’t be as strong as the original horn.
      Now I did have a goat who was disbudded as a baby and he grew scurs. Those scurs broke off when he butt heads with others. In that case, the broken scurs did leave a hole to his sinus cavity and that could be bad for ingestion and affect the brain. He did have to get surgery to remove the scurs and avoid any more possible issues.
      I think I talked about that a little in the Training Your Goat Not To Butt video and also, you can see what Buttercups broken horn looked like briefly in the Abandoned Nuclear Testing Facility video.
      So to sum it up, yes it is possible broken horns can cause infection which could affect the brain if it’s bad. Hope this helps.

    • @StacyAlan77
      @StacyAlan77  Год назад +1

      Infection, not ingestion. And when Lily and Buttercups horns became degloved, I just had to keep using an antibiotic spray and fly spray to keep bugs off.

    Just got our first goats today they are so cute and perfect. We got 2x 2 week old kids and their mum. They haven't been handled by previous owners and were more breeding them not as pets, we are not bottle feeding them but we will be spending everday with them and are going to be 10000% pets. We want to teach them tricks and to walk on a lead. The mum digs her hooves in and won't move, any tips. She is already starting to trust us but what should we do to teach her to trust us and walk on a lead as well as do tricks. Great video loved it btw!!😁😁

    • @StacyAlan77
      @StacyAlan77  3 года назад +1

      Congratulations!! The more time you spend with her loving on her will teach her she can trust you. Eventually she should warm up. I'd take all 3 out on a walk around the yard, maybe put a lead on the kids and the mom should follow or vice versa. Food is always a good incentive to get them to do things.
