Hi, my daughter is a 4-Her and is trying to train her goats to drive. Where do you find the harnesses?

My goats all have their horns - that’s how God made them so I’m not messing with His perfect design. I did buy a buck once who had been dehorned and ended up like your’s. He was a great buck but took a long time to get him to enjoy being petted because his head was uncomfortable. I think they are beautiful with their horns and you just have to watch them. I have a grout brush I use to scratch between their horns, which they love.

Thank you for this. I have to Australian miniature goats the boy at 16 months is trying to show his dominance over me the last few weeks. He has his horns as I agree with you, it’s too cruel to disbud for our convenience. I’ve been using a squirt bottle but I love this technique. It’s exactly what I did with my male Rottweiler when he was getting a bit aggressive and I never had issues again thank you so much.

I got my first two goats I think one of them is a miniature I would sure like any advice I can get.

And now they regulate ALL antibiotics. Ridiculous.

I know this is an old video so I doubt you'll get this comment but I'm going to put it in here anyway I just wanted to tell you how much I respect you as to the way you were with the little goat and he's awfully cute you were so gentle and so caring and talking to him through the whole thing and I know that calmed him and you know knowing that that medicine and you have the empathy about that I was a nurse for over 20 years I'm now retired and that's the way that you do the patients you have to have that much empathy and you're just awesome if I were an animal I would want you to be my owner😊

Well, that definitely did scare me. I don’t usually let the goats out to run the whole property, but I have occasionally. I have probably five or six of those plants growing somewhere on my property our Goats smart enough, not to eat those plants? I was giving chickens the scraps, and I had an avocado that we couldn’t eat with the chickens. The goat was smelling it and licked it, but then didn’t eat it thank goodness because avocado was poisonous. I could’ve killed my older.😢 thanks for the video Teresa and Charlotte Tenneessee

I play with my wether as well because he is our only goat & we are his herd. He plays like this as well, but I put my foot up & he will butt the bottom of my foot. (His horns hurt my hands lol). His behavior issue is that when anyone that isn't me or my boyfriend try to touch him he swing his head & tries to hook them with his horns. Any suggestions on correcting this behavior? (We take him places with us a lot & would like him to be more accepting of other people being near him)

Disbudding is HORRIBLE, I am so glad you won't do that again. I have a rescue goat that I've had since he was a few days old & watched videos of people using the hot iron on the babies & it was so sad.

I am glad I came across your video. It is hard to find anyone with common sense letting you know how to stop your rams from hitting you. I recently acquired 7 sheep. 5 ewes and 2 rams. They are Katadin hair sheep. Only one of the rams wants to constantly hit me. I found that using a loud stern voice will stop him dead in his track and will also run away. Thanks for the advice using common sense.

I just found you on YT and appreciate your videos. I too think it's cruel to take their horns off and I'm glad my goats still have theirs. I got them when they were about 6 months old. I've trained them a little bit but will keep working with them.

Love it! Do you share plans for your barn build? Or do you know a good resource for finding them? I'm moving from the city to a rural area and taking my two Nigerian Dwarfs with me and I will need to build them a shelter. I'm in the process of planning ahead and trying to estimate costs.
