My goats LOVE getting loved on and sung to. They each have their own song that I sing to them and they know their songs When one of them was in labor, I sang her song to her and she came over and put her head in my lap ... and squirted out triples. "Thank you, human. I needed that." (Her song is Lydia the Tattoo'd Lady.) Great video and love your sense of humor.
Thank you for this video. I will soon be visiting some goats and wanted to know how to pet them in their favorite way! I can't wait......I just love animals! I will also be lovin on some baby pigs, so I need to find some favorate strokes for them also! Thanks again for all of your petting tips!! I will be using those suggestions! Wish me luck so I do it well!
LOVE what you have to say about checking them regularly. I encourage people who buy from us to HANDLE, HANDLE, HANDLE them every day, all the time. I've got a little home made milker and find I get to really feel the goats over while the machine does the milking and it's meant I've caught little things like nicks and scratches far sooner. GREAT VIDEO...
Loved this video, you've got quite the sense of humor! what do you do if one goat is so jealous of you petting the other that he butts the other one out of the way?
If I may, why did you specify to only stroke the beard if they're fixed? Do unfixed bucks react aggressively to that, or is it just to keep your hands clean?
@@StacyAlan77 I had a link to an competitor site to youTube and they erased my comment. LOL. I've now uploaded the video to my channel on RUclips. It's called "What Happened on this Land 250 Years Ago", and it shows a goat cart from the 1860's.
i've never seen a video about petting goats explained so well and funny at the same time XD love it
Glad you liked it!

thank you! That does happen a lot here, so I have to sometimes pet the others when he is not looking...

in tact bucks pee on their beard and will make your hands really stinky
"making popcorns" :D

I just got 3 Boers, yearlings…. Only one allows pets. What’s the best way to get them use to people?
Just keep spending time with them every day. try feeding from your hand and petting them when they're close.
@@StacyAlan77 Thanks, enjoying your vids. See my comment on your goat cart vid too!!

I'll correct your anatomy lesson in saying that the front teeth are called Nibblers. It's the back teeth that are hay (and finger) shredders!
😆😆 yes, nibblers. How could I forget..
