    Don't forget to clean your SENSORS too...I saw someone take their drone for a swim because of some dirt on their bottom sensors.

    I’ve got one: Do NOT fly your drone if there are a large number of seagulls overhead.

    You forgot > remember to check your screen ( phone or tablet) and make sure the firmware hasn’t automatically updated and reset back to default settings before you leave the house .because one of the thing it resets is altitude to like 39’ . yup I’m guilty of this and couldn’t remember my password to get in and fix what it did ..

    Even a full battery can drain quite quickly in high winds area. My personal experience is bring your drone closer and lower when battery dropped to %20. Sometimes really annoying.

    Basically, by reading your user's manual, you can begin to create a customized pre and post-flight checklist. I wrote mine in Apple Notes. The checklist should have a technical inspection/prep and operations component.

    Greg I hope you make a supplement deep dive video for the Mavic 3 Pro. I'll be doing the deep dive on the Mavic 3 once I complete my 107 test monday. That way I'm prepared when my 3pro arrives.
    As always a great video and good reminders for new and old pilots.

    ‘Owner’s Manuals’..and Quick Start Guides are NOT created equal. I got a cheentzy 3-4 page Quick Start Guide with the Air 2S. NOT enough to satisfy me..and “getting online” is a poor excuse for ‘SAVING ‘ paper! Nothing can take the place of a PRINTED copy..

    I am 77 years old, on my 4th drone and 32nd camera... You mentioned something I am not familiar with... What is a manual and what is it used for ? (On the serious side, I can't read most manuals these days do I download them and put them in a folder on my desktop, however if I need an answer I consult Google or RUclips, so don't remember the last time I actuallly looked at one. 🙄)

    Come on Boone County sheriffs Department. Giveing me my damn drone back you know what given my drone back isn’t going to fix none of the issue issue now you all need to replace that drone with the thermal. I was gonna buy a thermal drone but I think I’m gonna sue you guys and make Boone county sheriffs department, and the people that’s in in my operation and the cops not filed charges on because they feel that no crimes were committed. It clearly states any sabotage or impeding of a drone operation is a federal crime I mean I’m not trying to push somebody into prison, but dammit y’all these people have destroyed my property and destroyed their cars by trying to run me over for no flipping reason people around here are crazy and the safety of our airspace is not safe around this area nor the people on the ground from stray Bullets I’m about to hang up my drone, controller and drone because I’m not gonna have my crown get hit from a stray bullet when somebody decides they’re gonna shoot my drone just cause they want to. I’ve got a hold of the company channel 8 and they didn’t help the NASA report that I filed. I’m not sure that it helped at all but in court was an embarrassment couldn’t defend myself. What a joke this is man the prosecutor is got tunnel vision and that’s bogus af

    • @contrerasoj
      @contrerasoj Год назад

      @@PilotInstitute I only ask that question because as I try and educate others I get asked that question all the time. Is there drone police? Does the FAA really care about some hobbyist flying his drone 100-200 feet above his property? Tough to answer those questions.

    • @Pooua
      @Pooua Год назад

      @@contrerasoj I live in the Dallas area, where we have lots of fixed and rotary wing aircraft flying overhead all the time. I guess a half-dozen helicopters and scores of fixed wing aircraft fly near my house every day. Who is keeping an eye on where these guys fly? You know, sometimes, they even fly over my house! I bet they can see me naked in my back yard! Especially the helicopters, which seem to fly low!
      It isn't illegal to fly over people's houses or property. The FAA doesn't restrict anyone from flying 100 feet over somebody else's property. The police should not say anything about it, either, because the FAA requires drones to stay within 400 feet of the ground (in most cases).

  • @michaelwayneprange5495
    @michaelwayneprange5495 7 месяцев назад

    You guys are really over complicating things when you go planning stuff to get a shot. The intent of that flight is to do whatever you’re planning not to have just fun so the whole thing about the intent thing I like to just the not in furtherance of a business rule, but what you got to say goes the FAA got my stuff right now or the sheriffs do I give them consent and then they wouldn’t applied for a warrant and they arrested me. I give them the drone and consent and they still arrest me under threat of arrest. I give them the drone and they take me to jail and the dude shot at it for no reason and he’s a liar and he said I was flying my other one Adam the other day. He’s a liar and the cops act like I can’t prove that the dude shot come on now I shouldn’t have to. I got a video of getting ready to take another cheap shot but he said he was using blanks that still a threat aircraft, the cops don’t take it serious man they’ve had my drone for way too long when it only takes experience person to see that there’s no foul play
