You are one talented man. There is very little that could be improved on this job. Better than my plastering for sure
Thanks roja
i've never commented on a RUclips video before in my life but what you're doing and your channel is brilliant!. You plastered my house in 2019 and 2021 and i thought then what a top bloke you are. When i asked for advice installing my bathroom you gave me your best tile drill (which I've still got if you need it back he he). Keep the videos coming mate. you're a natural 🙂
Tell you what kirk that looks as good as any plumber could do fantastic job mate
Bloody hell, my heart started pounding when I seen your little lad stood on the ceiling 😮💨
Me too mate... got to have eyes on him permanently
Dancing on the ceiling 🎉🎉hell yeah 😎
Use flexible tile adhesive instead of cement on tray, much better and allows for movement on wood.
This will piss some people off, your plumbing carpentry and electrical work is better than those who do it full time 😂 bet your tiling will be spot on too. Nice one mate superb job.
Im a plumber.. ya pipework was bang on m8 (for a plasterer) :D. Was nice seeing the process, proper tidy job.
looking forward to seeing the next parts great video Kirk

So impressive, the attention to detail and consideration for the next workmen is admirable.
Great job lad well done
Great vid... work looks spot on 👍
Might get into trouble here . A decent proper thinking about others plasterers makes for the best plumber sparky chippy because a decent plasterer knows its all about the best end results for everyone involved and if your the only one involved then it all needs to be covered to be sure of these top results👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Doing a bloody good job there kirk !

OSB in the ceiling nice touch moisture and water vapour the enemy of all bathrooms..what ya done should last a lifetime.

Top job kirk youre a man of many skills .all youre work looks to be of a very good standard .
Mate you are doing a fantastic job! Great multi skilled tradesman 👍🏻👍🏻
I always silicone the rubber seal to the shower tray first makes life so much easier when it comes to attaching the trap to tray
Great job so far Kirk. I totally agree with your saying "a change is as good as a break". I havent worked in construction for over 15 years and every DIY project I do feels more like a hobby.
Looking forward to the next video to see how your bathroom turns out
Change is good as a rest
Hi kirk
Superb mate that's why I love my job . As a fitter / welder. In a steel works in wales. 🏴. So when it comes to plastering bedroom or slabbing my back yard. Plumbing my bath room its grate as this is not my normal work trade. The plumbing looked the finest to be honest. There are some plumbers that struggle to use a spirit leve and there are others that are on top of there game as in all trades I guess. And doing what your doing gives you self satisfaction. As this is out side your normal trader. 🍻🏴🏴
I’m glad you done this video as I’m not far off doing same to my bathroom 😁🤣..
What a fantastic job you done of plumbing. Well impressed🙌
Can’t wait for rest of videos. 👍🏻😁✊

great work mate🙂
I just redid my bathroom without any experience. You're doing a better job than me m8, well done!
I’m a plumber mate and I can’t fault it. Looks better then I would do👍
As long as it don’t leak mate. Just be sure you wipe those joints to remove flux
23:10 that's the ol classic "I thought you were watching him" haha
Hi Kirk, I’ve just gotten into your videos via the skill builder channel. I’m an elecchicken! 🤣 Nothing wrong with a fan isolator in the loft, their main purpose is just for maintenance ie cleaning and replacing… it makes good sense to have it in the loft when you use an inline fan. Did you consider an inline fan? I find fans do a better job when ceiling mounted or you use an inline with a vent in the ceiling. Just incase you don’t know, if the fan is in the shower tray area it should be a low voltage one, 12v.
Anyways I’m loving your videos and look forward to seeing the bathroom finished.
Top bloke and a top tradesman, if more people were like you the world would be a far better place, keep up the great work
Kind regards
Dave
Pretty good job mate………for a plasterer 😂🤣😂
The little chap was checking you weren't slacking while out of sight in the loft 😂. Really enjoyed watching for entertainment value and the work put into it
Nice work Kirk! I'm just finishing up my bathroom. Only started it two years ago 🙂... I sympathise with your earache!
Man of many talents there Kirky brilliant job ur lad looks like he will be following in ur footsteps with them hammer techniques 😂😂
i love you man your such a good and funny guy
Jack of all trades but a master plasterer, cracking stuff Kirk, however seeing that little lad walking on the plasterboard, I was waiting for the disappearing act and a trip to casualty.😂
For a plasterer that is an excellent job inc plumbing soldering and fitting your bathroom keep it up
Listen pal, top job! From a fellow spread
If you got a wallpaper stripper try that on old tile adhesive comes off lovely with scrapper.looks sweet
Use kettle water on the tile adhesive. A bit like wallpaper it softens up an flys off 👍
Looks like a great job tow me
Looks absolutely spot on mate no plumber i know can do better mate well done
Look forward to part 2 captain
Roger was very impressed with your work on his channel 👏 👍
He was kind with the way he said it... fair play to him. Nice bloke
Kirk, Great job. Been there and done it. Brings back fond memories.I done a very similar job to what you have done 20 years ago. Check if you meed to strap your plumbing fittings to earth
Kirk. Thought you made a real tidy job of the electrics 👍 Im a retired lecky and impressed
Great job Kirk! Just a little tip with soldering those pipes. Heat up the pipe, move your torch away and then just dab the solder onto the pipe. Then add a little more flux and heat up again. It'll give you a much cleaner joint
Oh and, not a plumber here. Just done a fair amount of copper pipe soldering myself
Clean pipe flux up both fittings heat under medium blow lamp dap solder with the lamp about 5 inches away and the heat convection will suck the solder in. If ur blowing your solder away you didn't put enough flux on or too high/aggressive heat from the lamp
@@locien182agreed. Your explanation is better than mine lol. I'm a micro soldering specialist and solder loves to follow the heat like a magnet and steel balls but too much heat will just burn off any flux rendering it useless and ending up with dry joints which crack over time
@@TheCod3r yup and especially when you put a copper pipe behind a wall or unaccessable places the last thing u want is a brittle joint thats going to spring a pin hole in it. always the way it does tho.
Or use plastic???
Bang on that mate top job
Better than a lot of the plumbing I see. Not sure what you have got running your hot and cold water but you might have a problem getting enough flow to supply that shower head, apart from that bloody good work 👍
Good attempt for a plasterer mate a few things id have done different marine ply under the shower tray sbr primer and flexible tile adhesive to bed it down, your boiler flue needs proper brackets fitted on each joint in the loft strap band is a no no over all your on track to a successful job, dont forget tanking of the shower area 😉👍
Top job Kirk, not being funny, that works better than alot of plumbers work I've seen! Going to enjoy this mini series 👍🏻
Get a classi seal on that shower tray.
Get some hair felt between the pipes and joists.
Flux the pipe and the fitting.
Same with the glued waste.
Doing a better job than most plumbers 😊
As a plumber you’ve done a bang on job mate 👍just a tip with the shower normally you need to put a 1/2 to 15mm angled backplate to accept the shower head/wand just something to double check before you tile mate💪🏻
Cheers mate
Your son is a chip off the old block
looks good take care of your family love from Cyprus
Lovely job just move extractor fan to ceiling mate it's too low . Bang on job
