    These are the videos that I like to see. Numbers to back up the claims. Do you have a video for the RIPP 3.8 L coil pack showing the same thing? I am wondering what kind of gains I can expect out of my 2010 Jeep Wrangler with ripp supercharger.
    Also, do you recommend a different spark plug gap and/or spark plug than what you normally recommend for your supercharger kits in order to get the most out of the stronger coil?

    I ordered a set for my Tacoma 4.0. I understand these won't fit with out some modification but I am going to test them out and see if they are worth it! My truck is already supercharged so this should be a nice little cherry on top. Hopefully in the future you will offer a set for the 4.0 1GR-FE (Single VVTi) for us 2nd gen tacoma folks.

    I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD OR Manual. You’re welcome to install and test on mine so you can get lower RPM data. Most people don’t daily drive over 3000 rpms. This would show the gains in a more day-to-day operation.

      @@RIPPMODS has some competition there. While TRD dumped their Magnuson contract, you can still get the Magnuson roots style kit. Underdog Racing Development (URD) has a 2.3L twin screw Whipple kit together for sale. ProCharger has a centrifugal style as well (though I have yet to actually see anything other than dealer demo).
      I've been running the URD Whipple kit with a bunch of other mods and will be keeping an eye on these.

    • @RIPPMODS
      @RIPPMODS  3 года назад +1

      This product has little to no effect on engine longevity. It is a simple bolt on power adder which takes advantage of the other factory components and uses them to their fullest potential.

  • @jessehenry3751

    The only way to get max gains from the mod means you have too run premium fuel.

    • @RIPPMODS
      @RIPPMODS  2 года назад

      We suggest using 91 octane fuel to make the quoted HP gains. While 87 does work we noted some pre-ignition at lower RPMs while using this grade fuel. 91 rids of the pre-ignition and smooths out the power curve.

    If these produce 10-15 free/untapped hp and improve fuel economy, then why doesn't Toyota do this them self?
    What is the negative aspect of this mod? There has to be a downside.

      @@RIPPMODS wouldn’t the manufacturers just sell the car for $800 more ? And have a engine that gets better emissions and better mpg and more power and use all those advantages to sell more ? Or do these maybe have a slightly shorter life span?
      I mean better mpg and emissions alone would allow them to sell more trucks or sell the new Supra with 50hp more because of how the epa restricts manufacturers overall when it comes to mpg and emissions

    • @RIPPMODS
      @RIPPMODS  2 года назад +2

      @@huntertodd7915 The majority of OEM manufacturers have not updated ignition coil designs since the early 2000s. Toyota for instance uses the same internal coil design on 2021 Tacoma's that they did on the 2001 Tacoma. Performance vehicles like the Supra, GTR, Yaris GR, etc. use updated and more powerful ignition coils since it matters much more in that automotive sector.
