I have seen increase across the board whether I run 87 or 93. Highly recommend it. But also pair it with the rough country cold air intake. I have a video on that also.

will this void my warranty? i just bought a 2023 trd pro with the manual, and opted for the extended 7 year as i want to keep this truc for life. Will adding mods such as these coil packs and a cold air void my warranty, or do i have to wait 7 years to increase the performance or my Taco?

I don’t believe coil packs would void anything.

    • @MrSoundboystudios

I installed the rip coil packs in my 2020 Trd pro manual transmission, the drivers side installation is absolute hell and more frustrating than you could believe. However, if, and when you finally get them in, you will experience a very noticeable increase in performance. I installed them myself Over the weekend a little over a year ago and everything has been fantastic.
HOWEVER … TODAY MY TRUCK Developed a misfire in cylinder number six and I was left stranded on the side of the road on a uphill grade with nowhere to pull over and the vehicle is unable to continue .
I am unsure what the problem is at the moment however, there seems to be many people having issues like the ones I am having after installing rip coil packs in their vehicles.
Granted that my truck is due for new spark plugs at 60,000 miles (I am currently at 61,000 miles at time of misfire developing today)
I will contact RI first thing Monday morning and inquire about the warranty which I believe I may be within the timeframe to be covered by warranty from RIPP.
However, it is a huge pain in the ass to be dealing with right now. I’m stuck on the side of a mountain Canyon Road with a trailer that I cannot leave here or it most likely will be gone by morning. So I am stranded and cannot go pick up my son, and I must rely on the kindness of somebody which hopefully will help me but so far nobody has been able to help. I have been here for 12 hours and I am currently screwed.
Is it a faulty coil pack? I don’t know. However, most likely, I’d say yes it is and this is certainly not anything that I needed to deal with at the moment, and I must be honest with myself, and come to the conclusion that it is probably a faulty coil pack. Now, what do I do get the warranty to replace them but pay for the labor or do it myself. Either way I will have to deal with the fact that they may not be reliable that they are not reliable according to the facts at hand, when speaking to anyone who has used them every every single person loves them. But the fact is they are unreliable and that’s a real crying shame.
