Big Bill Broonzy wrote this about how he was treated on the road as a working black musician but there is just so much optimism. In my opinion this song is one of the building blocks of the Rock music from the '60's. His 1938 recording 'All By Myself' had so much swagger that I see it as one if not the first Rock And Roll style songs.
