You did some really neat work on the fly zip, pleats and pockets. The Oxford bags were in my autumn plans vlog so I was watching with great interest. How you pulled that back from the brink of epic fail to a really lovely wearable pair of trousers was prettier impressive. I think I’m 2 items away from starting my Oxfords and I’m gonna double check everything 🤣

Well done you! I think the way you worked through the process and problem solved to finish up with a lovely pair of trousers says heaps about your skills and problems solving ability. Haven't tried fly zips yet (well the truth is I have done one zip so far and that wasn't very good!!). I actually reserved the GBSB book last night to have a look from my local library as well the sewing book by Gertie (simple sews??) . I think there'll be lots of inspiration in them. The GBSB book really is my favourite sewing book . I have one Gertie book and have only made one of her dresses so far the Jiffy dress , she has a RUclips video of how to make it and it’s very simple ❤️
Nice pants! I very recently struggled a bit with my first "real" pants too, first fly and waistband for me. But after making a toile I managed and am super happy with them. I made the paradise pattern protea pants (wide leg pants), highly recommend them:)

The little snips I got where from Lidl 🤣 not sure if you have that in Australia but they are a budget supermarket lol! I will definitely try and pop in the description what I use next time . Thanks for watching ☺️❤️
