Those sound like some great memories! Who knows, maybe you can give your friend a call, set up the game and take bit of a trip back down memory lane with your friend again!
Nice! Last week I played some House of the Dead 3 and 4 on the PS3. Fun games and Fun times! I want to try the House of the Dead Remake sometime on PS4/PS5.
Yes indeed, some great memories from back in the day and I'm not sure about the blood, I should have checked that in the options menu, it might be defaulted to green lol😅
Honestly I've found this game to be more memorable over the first one. Either way, the cheesy lines and old school polygons is what makes this great! Also the branching paths really was a fun treat for you to replay the game back then. Glad to see another video from you! Say, I don't know if you'll be able to help with this, but I have a Dreamcast that has an issue where I can play a game initially running fine. Then after about 30 min or so the game will gradually deteriorate as in characters will be invisible or walls will disappear. Eventually in less than an hour the game will lock up and crash. I only had House of the Dead 2 and Crazy Taxi 2 to test it but the results were exactly the same: models will disappear but still made contact when interacted. To me, it sounds like the motor for the lens reader might be shot because I opened it before and there didn't seem like there were any noticeable flaws in caps, traces, etc. And the lens on the reader clearly could read the game fine at the start. Because of that I haven't used it in a while and just emulate them instead. I recommend emulating it nowadays since there really isn't a way to play this version since the Dreamcast itself is also getting more expensive to replace, and it hasn't been re-released since it's initial launch.
I also really like the second one a lot! Good fun to be had over and over again. As for your DC problem, sounds like a failing component as the system gets hotter. Could be one of the ram chips on the board or some lifted pins on the board. Might be worth it to take it apart and reflow the chips you can with some flux and fresh solder to see if that fixes it. Best of luck getting it running again though and thanks a lot for checking the vid as well😊!
If you axe men, THIS kind of thing is the real arcade games worth restoring and colectring. U knoiw, the types of games that have uniique controls derserve the most care if u axe me. I mean, anyone can fire up mame and play normal joystick games. But games wioth spinners, trackballs, guns, wheels, etc etc make the most zsense!
Awe man, I totally hear you. It is a bit different when you have some of those attachments or differences than just a control pad. I know it isnt possible for all games but its cool when you can use some of the original intended controls. Thanks as always man!
fond memories of playing this one back on dreamcast! at least up until the 3rd party gun that I owned finally gave out on me. I have the remake of the first game on switch and even purchased a couple of pistol grip shells so the wife and I could team up and kill zombies together, I do hope Forever Entertainment is able to give the sequel a similar treatment, it would be awesome! great to see a video on the arcade version though!
That is an awesome story man! I totally agree about Forever Entertainment but until then, the DC and Arcade versions still hold up pretty well even to this day! Thanks as always my friend.
Cool share Luke. I really like the Dreamcast port, still plays great with the original JP light guns on my old crt. Footage looks sharp here, voice acting is super cheesy lol. Love the clicky trigger sounds. Hope all is good, take it easy buddy 👊
Lol, I totally get what you mean by that. The old CRT with the light guns is fantastic! This one just does the job here. Thanks as always man and hope things in the UK are treating you well.
They just got one in my town. Its a shame though as it uses IR and the trigger is stiff. I cant remember, did the original unit use IR? I thought everything up to 4 was a lightgun game.
used to play the crap out of this game on the dreamcast at my friend's place back in the day
Those sound like some great memories! Who knows, maybe you can give your friend a call, set up the game and take bit of a trip back down memory lane with your friend again!
I can imagine a remake of this on the ps5 VR.. Would be something
Awe man, that would be pretty awesome. Like Resident Evil but with the cheesy acting lol 😂 thanks as always!
Awesome! Luke is back!! Hope you've been doing well man, keep the vids comin if you have time :D
Haha, thanks Peter! Doing well, just not sure what vids to put up. The next vid should be a little cooler I hope :) We shall see though.
Love Luke pulling off those satisfyingly juicy Headshots at the very beginning 😎💪
😂those couple of shots only lol. Glad to have this thing up and running though. The lucky shots here and there are also nice 😅
Thanks my friend!

Awesome! those are some great ones as well (I think 3 was a bit better than 4 personally) but awesome for sure! Hope you can give them a go soon!
🎉 awesome and I enjoyed your time Brother ❤
Hey Brother! been a while! great to hear from you and thanks for checking it out. Hope you are doing well
Fantastic review Luke. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
Thanks a lot there Mark! Best wishes back at you from Japan and thanks for checking the vid!
Damn this brings back some memories, loved this game as a kid. I remember the blood being red, is this Japanese version censored?

I might have to dust off the DC to give this game a try.
Haha, sometimes these kinds of games / vids make you want to pull out the old hardware and give it a go :)

@@lukemorse1 oh no doubt, and you're welcome!
Fun light gun game that never gets old despite the god awful voice acting.
LOL, I know, isnt that the truth. The graphics, concepts, and amount of fun that can be had with the game are great but ....that acting haha.
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! Nice Sharing !
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate! 心からありがとうございました!
I remember playing this on robinsons imus cavite philippines on 2020 before the pandemic began it was so fun but the side I always play is Gary

This one is awesome for sure! thanks as always for checking it out! Ill have something a bit "Bigger" coming up next

The wii version is a great port too always a great time
Totally agree! the Wii was another fun one for sure!
Remember playing HOTD on OG XBOX with light gun. So good. miss the CRT lightgun games.
Such a great classic game!
It really is isn't it!
I find it interesting dreamcast port has so many of it's textures unfiltered, yet the bonus included on Xbox looks to be more spot on.
Remember playing this everytime I went to the movies and that pretty much stayed in my memory to this day because of that thing I did at the movies
love that game, still has the best worst voice acting ever :D
I would love to play this.
Awesome stuff bro!!!! 😎
Thanks a million bro!! Still have a few more boards here to get up and running again but hope to be able to put those vids up soon!
@@lukemorse1can’t wait!!!! 😁
@@FIGHTERSCHOICEArcade I'll have a "bigger" title up in the next week or so. Have to do a bit more final wiring on the next one 😅
Lucky u luke
